You're still the only one I've heard complain about the original scratching your Switch. I use mine all the time and switch between different docks/joycons depending on game type. Never one scratch. Did you accidentally get a pebble stuck in between your Switch and Deck? 😅
Yeah I’ve watched a bunch of reviews on both and I’ve never heard that complaint either
I preordered the nd+ without having bought any other CRKD product, but playing through doom eternal was very smooth with the back buttons
Yeah it’s a pretty good product!
@@DripMediaGaming does it scratches?
I've seen several videos that point to the same problem, that they just switched the buttons so now the buttons are more awkward instead.
The face buttons are used *more* than the right stick so it's a really odd choice. They should try making the grip the same width at the bottom as it is at the top, since that's possibly the main reason there's not enough thumb & palm space.
I´ve assigned the side buttons as +/- and now I dont have to stretch my thumbs over the joysticks to press them. I´m overall happy with it but one major problem for me is the big "deadzone" in the middle of the joysticks. In breath of the wild I get instant response but when playing RDR and browsing the switch menu I have to push the joysticks a bit to much before getting response.
Hey Drip! Out of interest what back buttons work best for tears of the kingdom?? I’m about to program my mobapad back paddles.
that's nice, might get one for my switch
I got the clear white one and have been using it for a few weeks. I have an USBC to HDMI cable that I use with another device that works perfectly. I haven't had any issues with my hands. I use the side and back buttons in Monster Hunter Rise. I also reprogram them depending on the game I am playing. I like the thing.
Would you say your hands are big or small?
@@Speediest_BurgerI have a stage sized hands. I used the original one and the + and if u use the back buttons the + is much better and has not given me any cramp issues.
is it true that it destorys the back of the switch with Scratches?
Nexigo hall dock is spot on. Same stuff but proper right side placement
Regarding the scratching- it seems like the back plate on the nitro deck is slightly bowed outward in the center. And that is putting the scratches on the switch. The plus has it too. Some of the decks are like that; some aren’t. If you put a straight edge on the back plate, you can tell.
I wish my original model was a dock…I don’t know if I want to “upgrade” to the symmetrical sticks.
Not exactly what you’re looking for, but the dock cores Skull N Co sells are pretty portable if you need a small dock to carry around.
@@hyperhexjoe I’ll look into that.
Please do a head to head comparison with the Nexigo Gripcon (with HDMI & kickstand). It's much needed.
I've always been leery of 3rd party accessories (Mad Catz, anyone?), but I decided to jump on the Nitro Deck+ train due to the Hall Effect sticks. The WiiU design will take some getting used to, but the mappable buttons will more than make up for it.
The bag is super dope. I don’t like the nitro deck plus, but I still use the bag with my mobapad m6 hd’s.
When is the release date? On the website it says shipping June 28-June 29 and we’re in July. So is the product released already?
I have my switch oled for 2 years now and I'm still looking for a good, reliable grip for it.
How's your hunt going good sir? I recently bought the switch oled and every time I find what I think could be the holy grail of grips there's issues with the joysticks failing or the placement of the buttons are poor... Or it scratches the switch... All I want is something that's more comfortable than the standard joy cons but with the same features 😕
@@Tinez87hey! A little late but I’ve was searching too and after trying a lot of them (Hori Split Pad- my old favorite, Nexigo Gripcon, Satisfye, ect), I think the Mobapad M6 HD is pretty close. It’s got Hall effect and clicks buttons and hasn’t really failed me so far. Only thing it’s missing compared to a joy con is an IR camera. It even works well when split for multiplayer, honestly.
The bag got more love lol
Use the back buttons as intended and then the front being less then perfect is irrelevant. Ur damned if u do and damned if u don’t in this situation with placement but at least they’ve offered a solid solution. Also the light on the regular has always been able to be dimmed it wasn’t added later. I have the classic and the +and I had issues with the original (a lot of the common ones) but still used it. They fixed just about every complaint I had. Use the back buttons and ignore the front and all placement issues are resolved. I personally use the side buttons for the + and - buttons cus the reach to them is awkward.
How is this on games like Monster hunter? Im kinda worried as the XABY is below. I know there is back button, but is it akward? I believe this is good for shooting games.
I’ve played 40 hours on monster hunter with the ND+ the back buttons make it so smooth. I personally love the layout. I have medium sized hands.
Curious if this will work on a normal USB-C HDMI adapter or it needs to be the one from them?
It works with whatever adapter you want
I use the side buttons for macros in games like Dragon marked for Death. Otherwise they do feel a bit unnecessary. I don’t bump into them often but I wish you could turn them off
You can turn them off in the app
The bag is nice of it's free for sure.😅 It's just too expensive but it does look nice.
I just bought Nitro Deck from the Shop before even Nitro Deck + was relased and I still like the Original Nitro Deck what I have the White version, but I believe it's worth it to buy Nitro Deck + for my Nintendo Switch too and it's much Better looking and working version the Next Level of Nitro Deck! This is the Video what I've been waiting for thank you for making this Drip Media Gaming you're the Best! Nitro Deck +: Here we GOO!!! 😎❤️🔥
Hey thank you!!! Glad I could help!
@@DripMediaGaming yes you help me so much as the Switch gamer!
I like how Nitro Deck + have it's joycons on the Same Positions than on Nintendo Wii U and feel like you play on Wii U wow
It’s fantastic for fps games
I also think it is a decent improvement over the OG, i like mine alot. One thing you missed was the improvement in rumble, way better than the OG.
To be honest it’s not something I noticed because I hated the original so bad lol I didn’t use it that much
The regular one is still great
Off topic, but are you able to share what centre piece you’re using for your MobaPads?
It’s the skinny doyoky one that came with the game cube joycons. It’s not what I would recommend though it’s a little too small. Any of the normal size ones would be better. Fun lab makes a cool one check that out
@@DripMediaGaming Thanks for the tip!
@@DripMediaGaming Just had a look on their website - do they sell the centrepiece separately? Couldn’t see it 🤷
@@andrewdotvalentineI just use a PowerA or third party grip and unscrew the handles, and it works good enough to recommend. I even tore apart an official grip after stripping the screws but it’s not much better than the third party ones at that point.
I ended up returning my nitro deck plus. Didn’t think quality was worth $80 I paid. Thought it was odd customer support said they usually don’t take returns but said they’d make an exception for mine
I immediately hated mine and went to return it. They denied the return and referenced that it was part of the preorder return limitations. That alone floored me, and is pretty shady business practices when that wasn’t obvious at the time of purchasing. That company will never get another cent of my money.
Is this true??
@@DripMediaGaming absolutely
@@countbackfrom10 that’s absolutely ridiculous.
@@DripMediaGaming this is exactly what customer support said in email “Thanks for reaching out - we're sorry to hear your device doesn't live up to your expectations.

We're sorry this has been your experience thus far & are committed to resolving this issue in a timely & professional manner.

I’ve already issued a return, it’s really not big boy friendly on the right side with the buttons. I play a lot of Hades, Person 5 and Mario Kart 8, my thumb and wrist cramped up after a hour on it. Also the my button mapping kept resetting. I’m back to my Joy Cons and my Satifye Grip.
Said nothing on the stick deadzone tho? Heard the first one was really bad. Anybody got an update on that?
Nothing is wrong with the original? And there’s a no deadzone mode
My only complaint on both units is that the D pad is still too low .
That was like a big reason for wanting one of these. With the current set up with the Joycons I might as well use the analog stick cause I feel like even if it did have a D-Pad it's too far down/in an uncomfortable spot.
my only complaint is it doesn’t have a battery. i want longer gameplay. never had the scratching issue
THAT WIIU WAS UNDERRATED. ESPECIALLY THE DPAD. ❤❤❤
Mobapad m6 hd is still the best
100% agree. Love mine.
Terrible product lay out is terrible gave me the worst cramp and I’m not sensitive to that at all.
The design isn’t the best that’s for sure. I do like the improvements though
Well I think we still get some improvements on top of the original nitro deck
Maybe use the back buttons as intended. Can’t fix stupid.
@@exocolt15 I’m not changing my muscle memory to play switch. It’s not stupid it’s a preference. You prick. See I can insult too ;)
A little bit too late imo.. this prod wouldve been good if it was release as early as OLED switch
Steam deck copium
