hey, in the beginning you used what is called an inward drifting bike. inward drifting is a different type of drifting so you seemed to have a hard time with it. I couldn't explain it so I recommend watching shortcat's video if you still watch him. also he has a beginners and pro guide if you haven't seen them.
You can do a Stand-still mini turbo (SSMT) whenever you want to get a boost at the start or when you've stopped. Just hold drift button and accelerate till sparks come few times.
