Hyped for tuning, I’m waiting on oil lines and exhaust work and I’ll be right there with ya
Awesome!
Long time coming 🔥
It sure has!
Keep going your build is crazy. Really good work. Cant wait to see the car finished. Nice one 👍
Thanks, and I can’t wait to finish the car as well lol
yooooo, thing sounds sick. good stuff carl
Thanks!
Hell yeah was extremely hyped to see this notification
Awesome!
SUBBED!!! Can't wait to do this to my e46 and document it all!! Great work bro
Thanks man!
YYYYEEEEEESSSSSS great work man!
Thanks!
Soooon to be rrrrrrripping. Nice work!
Thanks!
I ll be keeping an eye on this build ^__^ really nice man
Thank you!
Love the build bro! #TeamE46 Just a tip for welding aluminum use a dedicated stainless steel wire brush, scotch-brite will embed itself and contaminate the weld causing porosity which leads to cracking down the road. Found that out the hard way when I was doing my weld certifications.
Thanks, and good tip!
Love the build!
Thanks!
WOOT WOOT RIGHT ON BRA!
Thank you!
Sounds really good
Thanks. Super happy about how it sounds actually.
Daaayyuum, she's alive!!!
Very much so!
Congrats man.
Thank you!
yes sir inspirational
Thanks!
Nice video and build 👌 greetings from germany
Thanks!
Yesss
This is great kid!! I'm happy to see your success with the build so far. I am a Bimmer builder on the East Coast in NYC. New York Street Machinz is the name. I have 2 E39s and 1 E46. Awesome shit bro!!! Congratulations!!!
Thank you!
One giant leap for mankind
One small step for nuisance_carl 👍🏽
Those are exhaust pops 😆 no need to be worried lol
I wish lol
Your emotions is worth billions 🤩
Yes! First drive paired with over a year on jack stands will do that to you lol
@@nuisance_carl pure enthusiasm and love for cars 💕
Nice to see it running. Watch for oil in your turbo. The bottom mount manifold is too deep and oil level is nearly the height of Turbo.
While Tuning ms43 you have two options:
1. Full load enrichment tuning to create rich afr while on boost
2. You can zero full load enrichment and define a good throttle position for full load to go in open load just entering boost and tune injection to fit right afr
One tip on top: the intake manifold is really annoying. Many points for false air. Check every hole of intake manifold. On the back there are many connections like secondary pump hose, canister purge etc.... Really annoying while tuning because afr never fit
Yup definitely keeping an eye on that. As for tuning I was planning on option one. Didn’t even think about option 2 so I’ll have to give that a look. I’m running an m50 manifold so the amount of potential boost leak spots is reduced by quite a bit. Regardless I’m hoping I can get it boost leak tested soon.
It’s alive ! Nice work man love the fact that it’s bottom mount . What turbo was it again? I’ve heard s54 guys with bottom mount like to have scavenger pump but I think there turbos are mounted lower especially with tubular manifolds.
Thanks! It’s an eBay gt3076r. Scavenge pump could still be necessary, but I’m going to test my luck without it. If I start to blow smoke out the exhaust I’ll try doing a vented oil drain first.
Nice
Thanks!
Boyzzzz
Yee yee
Can you add a turbo to a 2000 e46 328i automatic.. like will it work or will there be issues to it. Will the engine be able to handle it or no?
Yes people have turbocharged auto e46s. The engine should be able to handle a decent amount of power, but I’d be worried about the transmission
FUCK YEAH, gonnan wactch this when I get off work
Right on 🤟🏽
@@nuisance_carl Hyped to see it back on the road man, looking forward when it is dailed in, everytime I watch your build it makes me want to buy an e46 to make a daily drifter out of it
@@tuned4life Thanks! And you should!
Awesome content, I have similar setup on my 330ci, (I've bought another 330 with turbo and tune on it and swapped engine with turbo, but had to redo all the piping, and exhaust, becouse guy who turbo it made mess with piping, pretty happy how car drives now. Did you tune it your self? How to correct AFR, I have arround 10 under load
Thanks! Tuning it myself and should have a basic video on that soon. If your partial load AFRs are where they need to be, then you need to scale your full load enrichment table. Have you looked at the ms4x wiki? There’s tons of info on there that helped me out
@@nuisance_carl I will wait on this video very much, Yes this is main website I'm taking info from, will read more about partial load
Tune videoo aree sooo interestinggg
They definitely are!
With that m50 manifold its a little different in terms of flow. low rpm and load will be going rich and then mid to high will be lean. Weird spots too
As long as I can tune it out lol
Time for my turbo
Do it! It’s worth it!
I gotta say you are very underrated for the quality of work you put in. these videos are fun and you go pretty in depth into what needs to be done for a build like this. I'll be following in my 330ci soon keep up the good work 👌
Thanks!
What ECU do you use? Im building a turbo M54B30, will be running off the stock DMU for a little bit but want to know good ECU options for when i go big power! COOL BUILD MAN!
Thanks! I’m running stock ms43 👍🏽
@@nuisance_carl oh really! Thats what im going to be using! How did you manage to get AFR readings out of it? I didnt think the MS43 gave you that level of detail!? Do you have instagram so we can talk? Im doing my build for youtube too! Im in the UK
@@TailaanFilmedThis Some people use romraider to log AFRs because it has "plugins" for it. It takes serial output from some gauges, like the AEM X Series Wideband. I didn't get that to work so I updated to MS43 version 69, wired the analog 5v signal to the post cat o2 sensor (since I'm not using one anymore), and read that 5v signal in tunerpro. Many people suggest to use the latter method. My IG is @Nuisance_Carl as well.
where did you end up putting your coolant return line
I returned it to the hot side radiator hose using a redrilled aftermarket water temp sensor adapter. It’s in this video 👍🏽 ruclips.net/video/vaVsAgxRWC0/видео.html
watching this makes me wanna turbo my e39 wagon soo bad
DO IT!
Or supercharger it like I am
i gotta see her in person im in wilmington 🙏🔥
Lol I’ll be cruising around soon enough hopefully
Can you help me with icv delete please, so I see that I need to edit these tables, but they aren't there when I open 64 file with tunerpro, do I have to add them?
Nevermind, just didn't have definition files, now it's working, but eml light is on
And your is a lot smoother on start, my rpm just falling down to 500 and then go back to 1000
@@vitaliimazur8389 Actually mine does the same thing on cold start, but is usually good if the car is warm. I'm not sure if it's because of the ICV delete though. Haven't had time to look into it.
Thank you for your reply, hope to see you drifting soon
What’s better to turbo and why. A 2.5 or 3.0?
I would go 3.0 for anything 400hp+. Below that, 3.0 is ideal, but a 2.5 should also be fine.
@@nuisance_carl bet. I’m going to the junkyard tomorrow to pull one out so just trying to figure out which one to go for.
You should clip the last part of the vid n upload it as just an exhaust vid for those extra views. I know you could clip a thumbnail that’s makes the car look sick to garner more clicks haha
Don’t worry I have something like that planned haha
What are you running for a maf?
Pmas hpx 👍🏽
SHE LIIVVEESSS
Get that drone ready. It’s going to be lit haha
Any update after the seafoam treatment with the compression bro?
Haven’t checked it ever since. I will say the motor feels strong with the exception of some intermittent misfire but that’s because I have a bad vacuum leak.
I went exactly thro the same with n54 misfiring to find out i have low comp on cyl 1, the engine is hella full of carbon running rich for long time, i just installed the seafoam fingers crossed hopefull solves the issue. Thanks bro
@@hussainsa3eed Yea hope it works!
I have a very similar car with a very similar turbo setup, but I still have an automatic gearbox, but I will sort it out soon. speak up somehow;)
Nice!
wow nice im waiting on tuning or else id have anything installed, would you mind if i contacted you with help setting up a base map for first start?
Stock MAP should be 80% there. You just need to scale your injectors, your maf (assuming both are aftermarket). If you have an ICV delete you need to adjust some tables in tuner pro to get this to work. All this can be found on the MS4X wiki. I'd also suggest dialing timing back 5* just to put you in a safe zone.
Nuisance_Carl takkng out 5° all across map will be safe to start and put around block? yeah my injectors and maf are bith aftermarket but no icv delete atleast yet, ive read the wiki but no specific infor about turbocharging mostly na
@@onsomekillshit There's stuff on the MS4X wiki about fuel injector dead times, injector scaling (T_TI_AS), and MAF scaling. This should be what you need for first start. I wouldn't drive it around like that at all though.
Did you go to school ? Like a automotive school..where did you learn how to do all that stuff to your car!?
No automotive school. All of it is hands on experience and tons of researching. It takes time and a lot of trial and error
Broo pls update . when ep 61 ?
Working on it. Taking quite a long time as you can tell...
We need a 2week update!!!!!!!!!
I know...soon hopefully.
What part of cali you from bro?
South Bay
@@nuisance_carl gonna have to come out to sac one of these days bro. We got a squad of boosted beemers mainly e46!😁
@@MAKSKAYY haha that would be sick.
That the m3 rear bumper?
Yup 👍🏽
@@nuisance_carl would you recommend swapping an 04 e46 to the ms43 for a turbo build or the ms45 should be fine?
@@jay5353 A couple years ago yes, but I believe MS45 has more support now. You may be able to get away with staying MS45.
Get a dyno tune for sure
Maybe. Going to be street tuning for now.
Geez ep60??? I’ve been here a while
Crazy right? Lol
need an update :) :)
I know...Hopefully soon. Waiting on some parts to come in.
@@nuisance_carl looking forward to it!
@@haubidrift Likewise. It's been too long.
how you have money like that you are from PH think about family
Be careful with those assumptions.
