Sabalenka has been the most consistent player in Grand Slams for almost two years now. I really like her work ethic and willingness to always strive to improve . Also …remember this video of her ,that was supposed to be private (imo) , showing her smashing her racket in disappointment and anger in the hallway leading to the locker room after her loss last year ? Here it is …she didn’t give up and won the whole thing a year later . Bravo. Being able to defend a Grand Slam (AO) as well as winning 2 in a year is an ability given to very few players so again, congrats.

I also think that she has a coach and a team that are really looking after her best interest. Rybakina would have been as consistent, if her coach have paid more attention to her fragile health and wellbeing.

@@YUBNQ She usually blames herself when she lost or when she didn't play well. When she did lose her temper, her anger are directed at herself. She was never disrepectful of her opponents, even towards the Ukrainians girls who seem to think that she started the war in Ukraine! Now compare that to Caroline Wozniacki whom people called Miss Sunshine but blames everything from bugs to playing on the outside courts on her losses.

Knew Sabby was gonna win this one. She was DETERMINED and playing lights out. Pegula really didn't have a chance. Nice player but not in Sabby's class.

Ese segundo set fue grandioso, Pegula volteando un 0-3 y luego Aryna volteando el 3-5. Fue un partido increíble. Sabalenka está para muchos más títulos.

What can I say? I’m American, kudos still to Jessie Pegula! As for Sabalenka, you got it lady! Being in the Semifinals 4 years in a row then finalist last year, to champion this year! Many congratulations Aryna!

Это СУПЕР!!! Ты сделала!!! То, что Азаренко не смогла преодолеть наркотики Серены Вильямс, ты на равных правах добилась справедливой ПОБЕДЫ!!!
