Great test as always👍. I wonder how the FAR will work in my magazine markers like the T8.1 🤔. Usually none of the magazine markers I own like shaped ammo. However roundballs works great. Hope to try them more later this week. Keep up the good work Sean😃👍
Question, my M17 safety is stuck and will not move. I tried shooting it and when I engaged the air it let off 3 or 4 shots then I took out the mag put it back in and seen that I couldn't switch the safety. I see your kids but nothing really on that. Any tips?
Degass marker. Loosen and remove the rear screw that has the sling ring loop on it. Pull down slight on the grip you should hear the bolt click. Try the safe selector and reinstall the screw. It sticks usually because you had a jam and used the safety. Instead always degass first this will avoid the selector from becoming inoperable.
@lesslethalfordummies I was using shaped rounds when it jammed. I purchased this upgraded M17 a month ago with no experience on how to maintain it except for watching vids of you and others. So thank you sir. I will try that.
@@user-luda23 when a jam occurs the bolt is in the forward position. Actuating the safety traps the bolt forward against the safety via bolt spring pressure which is why it wont budge.
I wouldn’t necessarily call them better for longer range but more so carry more energy at greater distance. Heavies do fall from the sky just a little bit faster so longer range is a bit misleading.
The amount of increase of energy a shaped round offers over a roundball is nowhere near enough to risk having jams. Especially in a short range home defense scenario. Every time I try shaped rounds, there is at least one jam......every single time. That's a huge NO For me. About the only thing I use my HP68's for is flipping backwards and jamming in behind my mag springs for extra tension.
I was hoping for better results but alas shaped projectiles just remain an enigma to me except maybe my VKS. There is a reason Grimburg barrel and launchers are cut for roundball only. They work 99.9% of the time. Revolvers on the other hand…they work brilliant with shaped. Reward doesn’t outweigh the risk.
Murphy was definitely visiting you to lay down the law LoL 🤣
Those rounds hit with authority.
No crap. It was a train 🚂 wreck 😂. Wait until i ditch this factory barrel. Power went up exponentially.
I’ve had some of the same problems with the zeta mags…..damn lock lol
Definitely a problem but it only showed with shaped, not roundball. I think a lot more air blows by the balls in the mag so they dont bounce.

Should be a good test with the new HD24 barrel. Might be a little tight but my FAR do fit when i tried out on the desk.
@@lesslethalfordummies It will be interesting to see how it goes🤔😃
Great vid, brother! We've had this conversation, so I know the answer. Would you tell us why Sean can't shoot shaped projectiles? 💥💥💥
😂 is this a loaded question?
😎👍👍😂😂
I think maybe you should get some chicken wire and a frame with magnets to hold it to your window frame 😂
I am looking into options 🪟

@@user-luda23no problem. If you get stuck send me an email with some photos and i can probably help a little better.

you reckon an 8 gram round will go that far?
I have found heavier projectiles to carry more energy in most launchers and they are always more accurate in every launcher.
Heavier rounds hold energy better so they are better for longer range.

how about loading 1 roundball , then shaped, so the last 1 out is a roundball ? 🤷♂
Good idea. I will try it. 👍🏼
i suppose the last shaped round with a roundball underneath it can tip out of line as well, wish i'd have kept quiet now 🤣🤣🤣
@@graemelaw5808no bad ideas. Might be something that simple.
