Silent Industries Alpha with PDI 6.08 + R-hop?

- My best results so far trying R-hoped barrels with Silent Industries Alpha chamber. I'm not happy at all with how my gun shoots - you can see lots of vertical inconsistency here and this is the best combo "bucking - lips tension ring - nub". I've tried all 4 tension rings and flathoped G&G 'green'q Madbull 'blue', Madbull 'red', Krytack 'orange' and Prometheus 'purple'. The most consistent result (least shots with vertical deviation) I have with Madbull 'red'. The main reason for this is not the chamber but the nub. The stock trolley even with modification is not suitable for M-nub longer than 4 mm. With 4 mm you don't have even enough contact with a 6 mm R-hop patch. 3D printed trolley with solid base for 6 mm M-nub overhops even with hop turned off. The M-nub must be shortened with the necessary precision to provide the flat surface contacting the patch.

Thank you for all the tests you share with us. I love doing tests too and thanks to your videos I was able to make a very good set-up. For the vertical know that you get, check that the arm does not move in the hop-up wheel. The groove in the wheel is sometimes too wide.
Thanks. The play between the arm and groove in the wheel is negligible, almost imperceptible.
for you what is the best hop up chamber, bucking and nub combination for an mtw?
The one i use for the last 2 years - M4W with the default M-nub, R-hoped barrel, flathoped Madbull 'red'.
@@NikolayDimitrovFisher perfect! thank you so much brother!. did you now there is a MXW maxx model hop up chamber, that its cheaper than the M4W, did you know why is this? the diferences that i can see its that doesnt have the holes on the sides and it comes with less nubs and parts. do you think its going to work the same?

Hey so what bucking do you recommend with the M4W these days? Ive got a 260mm prommy

@@NikolayDimitrovFisher Hey! So I am running a SM thanks to your recommendation. I am considering buying a longer inner barrel and pairing it with the M4W and SM. Any suggestions on the barrel? Should I also consider getting the ML Omega nub?
@@tannerg4511 with hard concave nub included in M4W you don't need the Omega. But it's good to have one in hand, just in case. Action Army or Maple Leaf barrels are good bang for their bucks and they seems to be made with SM and MR Hop AEG buckings in mind.

It's made for 3 mm nub.
I've not tested davinci barrels and i'm curious how their "R" code barrel will perform with R-hop.
You do realize inconsistent shots are because the r hop is not properly broke in right? Every r hop is like this umbrella armory says it takes at least 5k shots to start seeing good performance
This is not the case here. As i wrote in the description - the nub is the reason. The same barrel is used in this test - ruclips.net/video/Ea1uLcTVmX4/видео.html with much better results where i have used a soft flat SI nub. The barrel has not been used between those two tests so the R-hop patch is the same.
Its nuts the spin inconsistency. You think the nub might be moving? Try a harder rubber maybe?
60° R-hop patches (EPDM rubber, not silicon) works great. I used Macaron 70° years ago with good results, but not as good as R-hop. I might give them another chance.

@@fredericomendes5742 yes. Next I'll try different 3D printed trolley with 6 mm M-nub, i have perfect results with it in stock and M4W hopups.

Yes, usually this is the first thing to check but this particular barrel + patch works perfectly with stock hopup & with M4W, both with M-nub. This is almost the same barrel and patch as the first combo in my previous test - ruclips.net/video/8AJ84ILAfyI/видео.html
What a Range do you Shot ?
62 meters.
Ive had less than stellar results with those buckings, as well as the Super macrons. The Supers seem to be "too grippy." Best result with a 70 macron ML in the M4W and Alpha
I'll try it, i have few 70° Super Macarons and MR hops laying around.

Yep. R-hop is crucially dependent on bucking lips tension and nub softness and even pressure. With Alpha i have good shots trajectory only with 50° or softer nubs.

Test is useless: 1. It’s Outdoor. 2. because of the Movementpossibility of the BB-Gun.
The MTW is on a bench rest. There’s no movement. I prefer to test outside because I play only outdoor.
I can see the movement of the rifle in ur scope cam. And u dismounted the rifle for changing the Hopupunit. So what are u telling me?
@@stephger1925 with 35 mm lens every insignificant move is amplified in scope cam frames. Even the vibrations from shots. This is not a lab test. But for my purpose it's more than enough.
@@stephger1925 Why the criticism? I rather see testing in normal conditions. I use the Alpha with super MR 70 and black nub without R-hop in the standard MTW barrel.
This weekend with 0.30 BB shooting arround 60m with out any issue. Do thinking of upgrading the barrel to a PDI 6.08
