Fun story, i actually made this exact scene (not nearly as smooth looking) out of clay for a high school art project. I just loved the movie and had a great idea how to make it work and it actually ended up winning the first prize at the art show that year

It's a great piece but for the price it would have been nice to illuminate the ocean with some LED'S making the water more translucent with a glow underneath.
For 3k nah that’s a hard pass, especially for something that is being shipped with broken parts. It honestly would have better if it was half the ship and a larger Shark portrait.

The figure likenesses looked on point, this is a very impressive piece!!
It looks great but for the price you shouldn't have to deal with broken pieces. That is an amazing undertaking to make the sculpt and having it done so well. Other than the damaged parts I think they blew it out of the water. Amazing and definitely an eye catching piece that will draw you in.
A great way to assist holding the boat up is a wave going along the bottom left (port) side of the boat. The way the boat is angled, it'd be completely hidden on the normal viewing angle. And if it was looked at from the back, it'd still look pretty decent with water being incorporated into the physics of the piece.
I also think the blood is a little orangish and couldve used a deeper, darker red. Still looks amazing though. That water is very impressive. Shame about the condition it arrived in. Luckily the mast could be easily replaced with it being a separate piece.

Those poles are| called gaff poles which help to bring in your fish or use as a tool to grab things .

That looks awesome but they could have used better material for some of the parts and had a note water into the front of the boat to hold it up better.
Those little pieces would drive me up the wall lol cool piece tho, just too expensive

these look pretty good. I,ve saw lots of posts . i,d pay a few HUNDRED for this baby , though it wouldn't be worth much more ,as its pretty frail looking & limited , like those old models we,d put together , & have no place to put . Hard to dust these type of "pieces"
strong magnets should have been added I think. And those things that broke off should have been metal.

A lot of these smaller Iron Studios pieces are hilariously overpriced for what you get, like the Batmobile or the Delorean. Whenever I feel bad about the price of other statues, I try to remember those are a thing and some people buy them haha. Not to mention the recent Disney dios. To be fair though, the shark looked like crap in the movie so they kinda nailed it.
One of the most brutal scenes ever. I have McFarlane model based on this scene. Not as good but still cool.

I think the boat cuts off to abruptly near the ocean and dislike the use of cheap eyelet hooks.

That is awesome and freaking huge. You’re right though, with the boat off center, i’d be terrified of anything knocking it over. That’s too much money easily tipped over.

Same concept but no way near the quality, scale, details etc. Have that one and good for it's time, it's no way near this. Although will admit the price tag is crazy.

Love the presence of this piece but for the price it looks like the engineering leaves a lot to be desired.
Big Iron Studio pieces always seem to have breakages unfortunately. It's part of what helped Chronicle go out of business when Iron wouldn't give them credit for a ton of breakages on their Rex dio pieces.

In Australia, it's $4,500, which I think is absolutely ludicrous. I just don't see the value.

The boat and base are great. Jaws looks like a mess and the figures look like ReAction quality ones. For 3k, the Jaws mold should have been twice the size and whatever mold they used for it is horrible. I'm not even going to talk about Brody and Quinn. This should be max 1500, and that's only because of all the detail on the boat. You are paying for the license they had to struggle to get and at high cost.
The sculpt on the shark is so goofy lookin. Looks like part of the animal adventure packs that toys r us sold back in the day. The human figures are small but at this insane price point the paint apps on the face are embarrassing.

Definitely a pass, the Jaw mouth with the red blood is done so badly looks like just some mono red paint splashed on, bad design on the setup and all the broken pieces, who wants to deal with all that on a 2-3k piece, easy pass.

Why do they call the shark bruce? Why not steve, andy, david or wally? Personally I like wally, we can call him wawa for short. Man goes into cage, cage goes into the water, wawa's in the water, our wawa. Farewell and adu to you fair Spanish ladies, Farewell and adu you ladies of spain.
The paint job on Jaws is shocking at this price point. They literally just threw on few dots of red for blood. Very sloppy.
I love it, but the breakages are a huge disappointment. Debating not getting it now.
