It needs a dlc
And it would need a duck piece
They are going to work on additional game modes post-launch, and for Duck Chess, you could use one of the extra Queens provided. But I hope they make a specialized Duck piece as an early 2025 (late 2024) add-on.
You mentioned the speedrun account, I think it would be cool to see you use this in the speedrun however I think I would prefer a digital version on the screen instead of the top down camera.
I’d prefer the top down and digital. The other is too angled to see what’s going on.
That's really cool. I found myself coloring along on the overhead cam and the kinda and queens look nearly identical from directly above. Aside from that it was a neat flawless content experience!!!

I am enjoying these. I would say though the overhead angle was a little too off-axis left-and-right. If possible, I think it would look better if it was off-axis up-and-down -- meaning it would look better closer to the actual eye-line as if the camera is playing.

I’d order one of these! The only tricky thing would be under a minute chaos. I would love to be able to review my OTB games though. For me that would be the biggest benefit.

How easy is it to swap accounts (e.g. multiple family members switching)?
I enjoy these videos but the camera angle of the board in your previous video was easier to see what was going on.

In lower level games might the board give the player a slight advantage in that it shows all the legal moves?
I think you can also turn that off, if I read correctly.

The new board actually looks nice. Will it have some kind of sound to connect both worlds, online and offline? At least the resigns would have been nice with an AI voice.

I think it might be worth trying an isometric view of the board taking up 60% to 100% of our screens, with your non-green-screened torso on either the left side if not overlaid. Though I'm sure you already tried and just don't post if you don't like the result.

Won't this make this kind of unfair because people who you are playing against can premove but you really can't? Time trouble is going to be very bad against someone playing online.
Top-down view of the board is a bad way to show it off. It ends up looking like a 2D board - the very thing potential customers want to get away from. The other video had a much better (angled) view. Also, that video had the Alien Gambit which is worth at least a thousand extra sales!
They need to make the pieces move by themselves

Scrabble is more stochastic and has the limitation of being played in a certain language.
Chess however, is deterministic and does not discriminate players of different countries.
Both games can be played with high complexity and various strategies.
I understand you prefer Scrabble over chess, but saying that chess sucks is just childish.

I like these videos, Eric. I an thinking of getting this for chess training. Do you think the pieces/board are big enough to help with OTB training for tournaments? I know the boards used in tournaments are quite bigger than this one. Thanks.
