- Welcome to today's video about the Motorola RAZR 50 Ultra. Basically the most popular flipping phone behind the Samsung Flip 6, newly released. I have always enjoyed the RAZR for its iconic design history but now the software adjustments have made this device even better than last years iterations. The hardware changes are incremental but the functionality is very well implemented.
This video looks at the unboxing and first impressions which so far have been better than expected. Its easy to fall for this device which is slightly under the radar, as most think Motorola are out of business!

A surprisingly thin and sleek phone!
Being able to operate the whole phone from the front screen is pretty impressive and quite practical. And even if the screen is a bit small, its still looks doable. Also the continuity between the screens is a very cool feature…definitely curious about the camera/picture quality😎
Yes indeed the Usability of the cover screen is the best I have used thus far on a flip phone so they have gotten and better but with limitations.

And I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed the very strong, but very nice cologne smell in the box! It actually made me question if my phone wasn't new lol. But now I know it's something Motorola are doing....But why? Lol 🤔

Does call. You get quality software on the Samsung but not huge difference from the fold 5
i wish the orange color was on the razor utlra. The blue is kind of boring and too dark

Hi. Great first impression. Quick question on the cameras. Are the lenses flush with the housing or slightly lower. I’m thinking of going caseless. 👍
Ha ha good question. Sorry I didn't show you but will include this in my review. They NOT flush and are protruding but not much at all. I am caseless at the moment and it's totally fine

I find it strange / concerning that most UK networks aren’t offering this handset yet when pretty much all of them have been pushing the Galaxy Flip 6 from day of launch? Any thoughts?
You make a very good point and this goes to show the strength of Samsung on the UK market. They basically have the monopoly of the networks which is why they are so popular but this is not based on quality or value for money.
Only seen 3 UK networks doing this phone, Vodafone, Three And GiffGaff
Xperia is even less common in the UK

What was the setting to not refresh when closing, opening the phone?
Nice phone & review comparing it to the Flip 6 . Prefer to have the midnight blue protector cover with it . Still making a decision as I have had every galaxy flip model up to the 5 flip .

Did you find any circumstances where the Razr Ultra got warm (i.e. the phone started heating up)?
Really good question and in fact yes. Set up got warm and then I went to the beach and it got really hot but covered it for 10 mins and it cooled right down very quickly luckily.
@@marcelontech Kinda happens to all phones at the beach in direct sunlight. They tend to heat up quickly.

It's does indeed support both of those systems.
In America all you get is the phone the charging cable and some instructions in the box no case no lanyard and no charging brick

Yes there is a slight strip down the middle back that is smoother than the sides.
Does it still have the sound effect when you flip it open?
Not to my knowledge I have not been able to find any sound effects for that just the original RAZR graphics
