My wife and I have been on several cruise ships. This is a great look into the behind the scenes life of those who have entertained us for many of the types of shows we have attended over the years. I really have to say you put together great videos, we started watching yesterday and we both noticed right away how your smile lightens a room, you definitely have a great energy about you.
As someone working on ships now many years and often had travelling contracts (so swapping ship every couple weeks), I can absolutely recommend Ortlieb duffel bags, especially when u have a lot of cloths, just sit on it and you get the air out and when not needed you can fold it And it does not need any space. It is so interesting to see the ship life from the perspective of entertainment members, cause as photographer and later on environmental officer it is so different in some points 🙈

Awesome video Allie! Can’t wait to see more videos about your journey onboard the Liberty of the seas. Your sign on seems to be more fun than when I sign onto the ship I work on, but I work on an oil tanker. Anyways. I have a few friends about right now and can’t wait to join the ship for my 9-day Canada/NE cruise in September! Hope you are still onboard then! Enjoy the hitch and can’t wait for the next video!

You’re doing a great job.
Miami was my first port of call when joining ships. Really cool port. I loved the bigger ships (Harmony OTS and Symphony OTS). Did not enjoy working on a small ship though (Serenade OTS).
Interesting video, where do you store your suitcases and things? :) are you guys provided with free accommodations and food? I was considering a few years ago to go work on a cruise as an Argentine tango instructor (not really sure of there is a demand for that), but I did not have a friend/partner to sign in for this lifestyle. Also the thought of being in a tiny space for more than one week really was not appealing. Have you ever been on a cruise before you started working there? How can one be sure that you do not feel seasick there 🤔. Of course the idea of traveling and maybe saving up on rent is good yet so many questions were unanswered in my head. After talking to a couple of people they said contracts are usually 2-5 years, so that put me off as well because I did not want to lose my affordable apartment. 3 months was what I was willing to try to see how it feels.
I’ve been wanting to get back into the travel industry, and being a cruise ship performer (or any other public facing position on board) is so tempting as a vocalist and performer. But I’ve never been on a cruise so I wouldn’t even know if I’d be motion sick. Im also in my late 30s so a small part of me thinks that (metaphorical and literal) ship has sailed. I’m excited to see more of your stuff to find more clarity and sort out my thoughts.
