    Bought a Rush 24 in 2017 before deploying to the middle east, fantastic pack. Been in multiple countries and still no issues with it. Absolutely no regrets. Such a good pack I bought the Rush 12, another 24, 72, and 100.

      Firstly, glad to hear you made it home brother 🤙 I think you get your card stamped if you have the full set 😂 I think the Rush series proves that 5.11 did the super rare thing and hit the nail on the head first time round. They tried to innovate with their AMP series and realised they have the perfect bag with the Rush. They recently shelved the AMP bags

    Out of all the packs & bags I've had over the past 25 years the only ones that have simply refused to die no matter how much I've overloaded and / or abused them have been my 5.11 packs. Absolutely bomb proof. Can't imagine this one is any different. If I was looking for a larger pack this would be my 1st choice. Great review!

    Carried once in my Rush 24 about 140 pounds of metal.Had to put some cardboard and a sheet of OSB on the bottom,on the inside so that i won't rip the stiches.
    Defo felt like hauling a injured guy just with all the weight localized in a smaller spot.Did that for a few miles.
    The backpack looks as good as new after almost 10 years of beating on it and as i said,i didn't baby it.
    Now i'm not sure the lighter,newer ones with 500D and 700D would be able to stand that but my old Rush 24 is a beast.

    At last a decent review by a decent reviewer of the 100, I’ve been waiting since it’s launching some years ago. It’s a hell of a chunk of money for the likes of myself to just chuck at a piece of kit for it to not be up to the job.

    I don't have a Rush 100, but I've still got my Rush 24, it's undergone pretty heavy (ab)use for the past 3 years with only superficial tearing around the shoulder straps. Darned thing has had the crap beaten out of it and been saddled with weight well above its paygrade, and it's held together. I can't say it looks like new because of just how rough i am with it but it looks damned good for what it's been through. Great gear, I'd be tempted to say they're Buy It For Life if you treat yours better than I have mine (not hard, believe me).
    Oh the MOLLE webbing is so, so useful. I know it looks wierd to walk through the city with a military looking backpack with a MOLLE water bottle pouch on one side and a first aid pouch on the other side (started putting those in every pack i have after a pretty bad injury last year), and a jacket rolled up like a bedroll underneath. But it's just so darned functional I can hardly care.

    Hi Mr Moorlander,nice review but i must point out that where the pockets are attached the clips are split and so you can quite quickly detach them without unthreading the whole strap from the buckles and i would of liked it even more if you'd shown the big organisational pocket on the front.
    Ive added my subscription as whatever you review seems right up my street😊.

    I have some older 5.11 gear and yes they do last but their older stuff is completely made of 1000 denier material not just in some areas of the pack like what they are now. So the question is are the new packs which are mostly 500 denier as durable and rugged as the older packs.

    • @MoorlanderEDC
      @MoorlanderEDC  4 месяца назад

      It's a fair question. I've found 500d is still pretty tough. I think a larger bag like this would be great in 1000d however that would definitely add to the weight overall

      I'd say this is a reasonably easy answer. The Rush is great however it's not an Eberlestock bag. I think both bags will last a life time however the Eberlestock has the technical merit. They're amazing bags carrying weight over long distances with a God tier strap system. That's not hating on the 5.11 packs however Eberlestock are a higher level. Hope that helps. @@MoorlanderEDC Well, I went with the eberlestock halftrack. Got it today. Seems really high quality and am loving it so far. The main thing I have to say for it is that the space in it feels so much bigger than what it really is. I can fit almost everything that fits in my 65L in it somehow. I dont know if it just uses its space more efficiently or what, but so far it is exceeding all expectations.
