Hello JB
There was a line in the middle that really struck a chord when I heard it- “I felt like Me.”
JB, it makes me so happy to hear you are finding your way back to you. And even happier to hear that in the process, you are learning and understanding more about Old You, as well as discovering new things about Current You.
Thank you (to all the various versions of you) for continuing to share your
journey with us.
Strength and Health
COVID is Stoopid
aww thankyou my lovely - it's wonderful thing and I look forward to when you are able to have a similar experience!
♥
I hope me and every long haulers will returns to their previous healthy life , we are the real warriors 🫶
yes - keep going!! :)
Ameen
well done - i'm starting to feel better 2.5 years but still dealing with the low level fatigue and migraines that are easily triggered
It does get better - or it can get better! You've probably tried already, but I've heard cold packs and yoga nidra recommended for headaches/migraines.
There are supplements like some of the b vitamins that can help prevent migraines and medicines that prevent/treat it
I have the same experience, I struggle with activity, finding the right balance. On one side, you want your body to learn that the world is a safe place and try to expose it gradually to all kind of different situations, on the other side you don't want to over do it, because you overstress your nervous system. But also too much pacing is stopping the progress, sending the wrong message to the brain that activity is dangerous and we have to protect ourselves from it. I guess we need to move forward little by little, without limiting ourselves too much. Im happy that you found your way. Your story gives us hope. I'm myself 2 years in with 3 infections and slowly getting better. Not seeing yet the light at the end of the tunnel, but keeping the hopes up.
It's hard isn't it - to let go of the things we *had* to do - pacing etc, and start behaving like a "regular person" - what's normal anyway!? haha
Hello any idea on how you caught Covid and was your symptoms mild moderate or severe
Hope that you have recovered 🙏🏽❤️
Great to see you are doing so well. Gives the rest of us hope. When did you start to exercise again in your journey?
I started my journey by trying to exercise my way through it - bad idea! I reduced my activity more and more, until I was then able to start to build (very slowly) back up. I tried to keep up some sort of movement but it was very hard to find an amount that would keep me moving (which is important) but without pushing and ending up with PEM and a crash. I don't think i did a very good job of balancing it - if I'd cut down sooner then I think things would have got better quicker. But hey - that's hindsight!!
What exactly did you do to get well again? Is there a video about it ?
My recovery story is episode 94 on the podcast :)
