Glad to be sharing my passion about music and video games online :)!
More Zelda covers on this playlist: • Zelda II : The Adventu...
The Zelda theme is the most iconic music in all gaming. The staff roll from Link to the Past is the best arrangement of it (in what, for me was the best game released on the SNES, and quite possibly my favourite game of all time). I remember sitting at a piano with a tape deck recording from my SNES for hours working this out. This arrangement, played on piano is my childhood.
Thank you 😊
I cry everytime
I am not sure of any other piece of music following any video game I have ever beaten that gives as deep a feeling of tearful joy. That...finally...after a battle that lasted "years" (in the game's story)...it was just...over. And then that slow build to the game's main theme. The transition was mildly foreshadowed mere notes before it began, but after the long intro, it was like...we have suffered, we have wept, we have battled for our lives...and now, WE CRY IN VICTORY!!! That is what this song means to me.
I can see the Triforce floating in the sky.
RIP
This is the best song ever of all zelda games. So epic, and full of memories.
Thank you very much ❤️
even decades later this is my fav zelda song and credits song ever
thanks for this
Thank you very much 🥰
This is perfect and the nostalgia hits hard on this one. I remember Christmas of 1992 when I got my SNES with Super Mario World, Zelda and Super Castlevania. I spent all Christmas break from grade school at my grandmother's playing those games with my cousin. Simpler times and the greatest of days. Thanks for taking me back...
Thank you for sharing your story ❤
I remember it like this too! I was 7.
I can't believe this composition (I mean, the work from Koji Kondo) was created for a videogame. This is beautiful.
This is/was a great game, and this is still my favorite Legend of Zelda theme... I remember listening to it and thinking... "ah this is nice but where's my Zelda theme"... and then how the music seamlessly transitions into it as beautiful. Many fairies were expensed reaching the end of this adventure when I was a kid too 😀
A beautiful song performed with such unbelievable talent. Total justice to the game's music.
Thank you so much 😊
I can't even begin to express the emotions this makes me feel. Such a beautiful cover of the greatest video game song ever.
Thank you so much :)
The flow, the tempo, the outdoor visuals. Truly stunning. Im living in Hyrule all over again.
Thank you so much 😊💚
Looking back, it’s amazing what masterpieces or games were created with such minimal technology compared to what we have now. I remember as a kid jumping out of the car before it stopped so I could run inside to play this game for the first time. Nostalgia feels hittin hard
Thank you 😊
We have tried so many times and for so long tho have a child. 4 Weeks ago finally our daughter was born. When she was 4 hours old, i played this to her as i felt my deepest wish had become true - just like Link's wish had come true when he touched the triforce. My little one loved it so much and we celebrated a special bonding.
Awwww!! Thank you so much for this lovely story ❤️
Well this is the sweetest thing I've heard all day. Congrats :)
Just amazing. Your arrangement has it all: power, wisdom and courage
Wow thank you so much :)!!
The arrangement as the triforce is correct.
This game had the best ending: evil was vanquished, everything returned to normal and everyone was happy again. All because one young man had the courage to stand up to evil and made a selfless wish granted by a golden power, add this theme afterwards as the credits roll and you have the best game ever made
I agree !!
Awesome! You play with great emotion. Super cool you played in the forest and really cool to see you "quest" through that field!
This video is like if you are playing an RPG and an elder said: "Find the beautiful woman playing in the forest and you will receive the magic item! Follow the music within the forest!".
GilvaSunner liked this, I did too.
Blue Ayran Thank you 😊 !!
I vividly remember the first time I finished A Link to the Past and being just stunned in this moment at how beautiful it was at the end of that adventure. Thanks for your delightful rendition of this song.
For the longest time I have been looking for an amazing rendition of Link To The Past end credits, and this is exactly what I was looking for. Thank you for this and I love your channel.
Stabstone Thank you so much for the kind words 😊❤️
I cried. Tugged my heart strings with nostalgic feelings
Idk how this doesn't have more views. Thanks for the beauty! B)
The nostalgia is strong with this 1... Beautiful performance! Bravo!
Thank you 😊!
Every time I complete LTTP I always get goosebumps when this plays over the credits.
This just gave me goosebumps which is high praise indeed. That was pretty damn great.
Ross Murray Thank you so much ❤️ I wanted to communicate all this emotion through my playing, because I felt this way when I finished this game.
Nintendo were given the keys to our hearts because they were the first to make games art.
sumbodyshero Very well said ❤️
Pretty arrangement of Link to the Past's ending music, and a very pretty setting to play it in! The Master Sword in the foreground at the beginning was a nice touch! :)
Thank you very much 😊
You should do a concert. I for one would buy a ticket and fly to wherever to see it. Through youtube you can still feel the passion of your music. I couldn't imagine what it would be like in person. Excellent work!
Scott Ebright Wow, thank you so much for this comment 😍!! I’ll probably give a concert someday, feel free to like my Facebook page to get all the updates on my projects.
Brought me to tears. So powerful and beautiful.
Thank you 😊
"Total Games Played 000" Full Hearts!
Amazing performance of an amazing song!
You are so good. We can feel the emotion in your rendition of this masterpiece.
Thank you very much 😊
This tune definitely belongs to the nature. Very well done.
A wonderful playing of one of the most beautiful and tender pieces of music ever composed by the great Koji Kondo. Incredibly underrated. It's almost two songs. I swear, the first two minutes can be stretched out and played at any wedding or celebration of life for an hour. You completely do it justice here and naturally enhance it on classical piano.
Thank you so much ☺️
Beautiful. This is one of my life’s favorite pieces of music! Thank you for performing!
Thank you very much 😊
Who is this goddess who plays this enchanted melody? Amazing rendition!
Its.... Very beautiful 🥺❤️ i loved much
Thank you so much !
Thanks for bringing this wonderful music to life on piano. Your playing brings back warm feelings of hearing this when I beat this game as a kid.
🙃 what a great performance. lovely played. thanks
This is such a beautiful rendition of the song, I played a link to the past for the first time recently and this version gave me the same chills I felt when finishing it
Aww thank you so much 🥰💚 This is one of my favorite Zelda games and the ending is absolutely touching and perfect.
My favorite game of all time and this tune was such a magical way to end that journey
So beautiful, the credits theme of a link to the past is for me the best credits song of zelda games.
Thank you very much 😊
I’ll add this to my Favorites playlist. It’s so beautiful. It gave me goosebumps.
Thank you so much 😊!!
I raise my glass to anyone else who lived through the epoch and still remembers how good it was to have played one of the greatest video games of all time whilst it was still being advertised in magazines and sold in shops. Those my friends, were the best days of our lives.
PS - Well played Laurence!
This is an excellent version of one of the best tracks in the entire series.
Thank you so much 😊
Absolutely amazing video! Love it! ❤❤❤

My god, I'm crying...

Thank you 😊!!
Sounds good melody

Out of all the snes games I beat more than 20 years ago which was a long time ago...Zelda 3 had one of the best endings imo, followed by final Fantasy 2 snes.
WHERE HAS THIS BEEN ALL MY LIFE
Aww
Brings me back to when I beat this game on Vizzed back in the summer of 2013. Very nice rendition
One of the most beautiful Zelda themes, it holds great nostalgic value to me. Great performance!

Tu l'a joue à la perfection. Une de mes chansons préférées. Je l'écouterais toute la nuit. Merci Laurence!
Merci !!
Truly magnificent ! Thanks Laurence for playing this song, it means so much . :)
Warning: do not listen to this if you’re already kind of sad lol. That’s basically true of any arrangement of this song, but this is a really beautiful one. Nicely done!
Ah one of my favorite from Zelda, so nostalgic and beautiful. I even covered it with mixed results lol. Your version is beautiful!

Duhemsounds Thank you very much for this nice comment 😊💚
Je pense que c'est exactement ce que le vieux Koji entendait dans sa tête quand il composait ce morceau pour le SPC700 de la Super Famicom.
Hype Dredd 😍
Just perfect!
Marco Ribeiro Thank you 😊!
This fits this song(s) so great. I've been searching so long for such a good version of these ending-credits, and i got to say: you have absolutely nailed it. Everyone else tries violins, which seems to fit great at first, but then again it sounds just the quite same as in the game. Mostly everyone else forgets about the echo, and therefore its without soul. The "simplicity" of the piano just reminds me of how i finished this game for the first time all the way back in 1992 - i know that ingame it's not a piano-sound, but synthesized soundsamples, but for me these Piano-Versions just perfectly captures the tempo, the experience, the soul - the way i felt back then. And no, i am not to cheerful. I had my Part of Lindsey Sterlings Interpretations and i love Theophanys Songs from Majoras Mask and i do listen to Eric Buchholzs "hero of time" from time to time, but you... - ok, you might guessed it by now - i really like it! Thank you so much! :-)
Alexander Wied Oh wow!! Thank you so much for taking the time to write this beautiful comment. You absolutely make my day 😉!!
I don’t know how I’ve missed liking this, I’ve watched it dozens of times. Awesome video Laurence! I just started learning this recently. 😊

Really good job on this, both the piano and the visuals.

The buildup to the main theme was great. Also, the film work was awesome; ending with a view of the lake(?) was great. Awesome work as always!
