- The strongest RC Car in the world VS the most brutal skatepark! This is my highly modified Traxxas Xmaxx bashing at one of the most brutal skateparks ever! This bash is one for the books! I can't believe it survived for that long! GPM parts truly helped this truck stay alive along as it did!

Having owned an XMaxx as well, I struggle to see the appeal with these. I bought in to all the hype and marketing, and I lived for years thinking the XMaxx is the holy grail. I could not have possibly been more disappointed with it. Plastic fantastic servo blowing up gears with every drive, throwing hinge pins, blowing up wheel bearings, bending center driveshafts, soft aluminum stub axles blowing chunks, losing a pinion every time I drive, and dealing with all the proprietary design nonsense made upgrading the truck a huge pain. You can’t just use ANY 1/5 scale wheel because they use a 17mm wheel nut against a 24mm hex drive, so you need specific XMaxx wheels. Same with servos and motor mounts. Can’t just throw in anything, it has to be adapted to fit the truck. It’s amazing, that for the size of the truck just how little space there is to upgrade anything. I understand there are upgrades and workarounds for everything that I’ve mentioned, but for $1000 there are better trucks out there without any of those headaches. Much more durable and powerful right out of the box. Sold my XMaxx and never looked back. I’m pretty sure you guys know where I’m going with this. People who follow me on other forums know where I stand.
I’m happy it has its place and I’m happy people are into it, but I just get so exhausted meeting so many people in the hobby who praise this truck having never owned and driven it, or scoff at other trucks having never owned or driven those either. Happens way more often than people may realize.
(For what it’s worth, I feel similarly about Losi DBXLe, I sold that too. Handled so poorly, chassis braces were so weak, etc. in order to sort them out, you’re dumping an obscene amount of money into them. XMaxx included)
I truly am sorry that you’ve had a bad experience with the ex Max. I have owned all the Arma cars and all the Traxxas cars and mini fifth scale cars. I have bash them all in every setting possible. Off my death ramp, skate, parks, construction sites, And street bashing like off of fences gates stuff like that. The are good cars only for certain things. If you want massive air and landing on grass great handling, then the arm is the way to go. But if you bash in every setting and you want super durable, but easy to replace and cheap. Traxxas is the way to go. Trust me I used to feel the way you do now but after being in this hobby for over 6 years, I have truly discovered why Traxxas is so popular. My channel is based off of durability and destruction, that is how I get my views. It is actually cheaper for me to own a Traxxas and drives in the way I do then it would be to own an Arma and drive them the way, I do.
All in all, I will be getting some more arm car soon, because I love the way that they drive. There is no doubt the Traxxas could never drive as good or fly as good as an arm car. But the max is legendary for being able to bash any place therefore it is my favorite truck.

Thanks brother! Wind has been terrible here since the storm but I did jump 71 feet during the storm with a 10 sec hangtime. So far that is my highest.

Great video! I have a question, just got the X-MAXX 8s Belted. Does a single backflip and struggles. Stock gearing 15/54, belted sledgehammers. Decided to put on 8s rated non belted sledgehammers, same gear ratio, changed the trans gearing from 47/24 (stock 8s) to 51/20 (previous X-MAXX model gears). Took it out and not I can’t even do a backflip. Dual 4s LiPos, 45° ramp. What am I missing?
Change your tires. The belted tires don't expand that's why your truck is having trouble flipping
@@feelo57 I stated I’ve already replaced the tires, they are now the 8s non belted Sledgehammers.
Yes, I can read but the sledgehammers don't expand like the normal xmaxx tires. @@redbanditracing

I wanna get vigilante because it seems a little bigger, drives a lot better, also has cheap parts. But it seems to me that traxxas has the best plastics in rc. When the entire compound the truck is built from is better than all the competition, it's hard not to choose it..
Just gotta replace the chassis, some bulkheads, an arm etc etc but besides that😊😂 broI love you but 😂 “no arrma could have taken that”……apparently neither could the Xmaxx.
I love them both though. Xmaxx took some brutal hits 😊WITH major damage. I only use my Maxx in the skatepark your braver than I😮😂😂

Haha what I mean bro by saying that no Arrma can take that is that an Arrma wouldn’t have survived that first jump. 😂😂😂My Xmaxx took at least 10 of those slams before it was truly broken. No doubt it is super super tough to last as long as it did bro. Kraton 8s would have been done ski on the first big slam and I would have been going home with a 2 sec video. 😂😂😂😂😂 Of course the Xmaxx is gonna break after 10 of these slams but you name one other 1/6 scale that could even come close to lasting this long in these conditions! 😂😂😂🏆⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️

5:08 what happened to you? I saw that shock snap a few videos back. I thought you were better than the other shills online. It sucks how "freebies" are basically barter for fake good reviews. I thought your channel was different, bashing until things break and you tell it as it is. What's next? Are you going to try to get your viewers to gamble? If you would’ve watched that full video instead of stopping it, then you would’ve seen how I explained the break and then took a different shock rod out of a shock and fixed the shock. There are no lies here on Thunder RC. I show every part that breaks and I am as honest as you can be. I don’t care about anything but having a good timeand bashing.
