American Standard Cadet From 1998 Flush Test
This toilet has had the wrong flapper installed on it causing it to flush twice. Below is the correct flapper only flushing 1.6 gallons and bot wasting water.

Yea that’s common for these they need water saving flappers for a normal single flush

When it double flushes it uses 3.2 gallons per flush

I've been a plumber/installer since 1978 and the few of these ulf cadets from AS are mostly junk the front flush space saver model before was better on a flush valve they would probably be good

mine does it...i like it that way...my dumps sometimes need 2 flushes lol...mine is American standard too

Warning: If it does clog, It will probably flood your bathroom. Because if clogged, It will try to double flush. Which will likely result in overflowing.

I saw one of these a couple days ago that does that. I hate double flushes. Like, really! If i want the toilet to flush twice, i'll push the handle twice! Simple!

Put the thing is you don't got to wait for the bowl to fill up in order to flush the toilet twice it does it automatically without the bowl to fill up
