Two motel chains I recommend, that allow dogs are La Quinta and Motel 6. We travel with our dogs (three of them) and we have yet to be turned down or charged extra.
I believe the benefits of having a dog far out weigh any inconveniences. No person can give you that much unconditional love. Thanks for the info. I definitely want to try that harness! I will put it on my lengthy RV wish list, and will be sure to go through your Amazon link to purchase.
We're part timers with a 135 pound Bernese Mountain dog, Buddy. He's the rock star everywhere we go. I agree, you just plan ahead for pretty much everything when you have a puppy child but it's so worth it. Buddy loves the RV and meeting new people.
We just took a 1000 mile trip in our RV with our 6 dogs ranging from a St. Bernard to a Pom. Found a campground that would accept us and had a great time. We were the hit of the place with several kids dropping by to play with them.
New subscriber....I have a 150lb Saint Bernard whom is a BIG sweey and in the next few months, I plan on buying an RV and I will be traveling with my dog. Great dog tips. 🐶 The tip about calling places ahead of time, to see if it is dog friendly and taking your dog with you, is a great tip. Great video. 👏👍👏
I'm a 61 year old msle flight attendant, and I really enjoy your videos! What got me hooked on following you two was the walk around you did of the Alto Safari. What an ingenious design! My closest connection with your lifestyle was seeing slides from my grandparent's trips around the country pulling a 22 foot trailer with an International Harvester Travelall. At this point in my life, I don't see my husband and I taking your same path, so I am glad to follow your progress and adventures. Your videos are so well thought out and you are both so well spoken! Keep up the good work!
You two are so engaging. Your videos are well designed and interesting. Your well-spokenness is easy to listen to. Keep up such a high standard. We love it.
I just wanted to thank you very much for doing this video. I want to share this on my blog! I am doing a tip post for living full time with animals and I think this video at the end of the post will be a perfect final addition to include in the post. Great information! Thanks again for sharing! Leo is so handsome!
Gee..you shared so many great points ! I have a 12 lb Westie named Buddy who is now a ESA (Emotional Support Animal) for me. As a ESA Buddy is covered by 2 Fed. laws and can go with me into stores, restaurants, and even flies free on the plane. Although your dog would be sorta uncomfortable for a flight, Buddy was on my lap the entire flight ! Thank you for sharing this valuable info. You have answered so many questions that I am sure wanna-b RV'rs wonder about.
I just bought an RV and I have two small dogs, this was some great information! I have been binge watching these types of videos all day, I can't wait!!!
Thank you for all your dog friendly info. We don't travel full time yet but do travel a lot with our Rv. We travel with our 2 dogs, an 8 yr old cocker spaniel and a 160# 2 year old St. Bernard/black lab mix. He's all black and looks a lot like a Newfoundland. He takes up a lot of room, sheds a lot, and can't take hot weather conditions. We have also run into campground dog size restrictions but after meeting him & seeing he's just a big teddy bear they've allowed him. Again thank you, love your videos.
Thank you so much for this video. I just adopted a Siberian Husky, that looks just like Leo. She loves truck rides with me and I plan on taking her on a lot of long camping trips around Canada this year. I have been researching what to do to make her comfortable and safe. Your video was very informative. I would add a pet first aid kit with a muzzle (Injured dogs will bite) and taking a pet first aid course. I also bought her a large dog stroller, so that I could take her into a store etc. and not have to leave her in the truck.
I enjoy your videos very much and am always pleased when Leo is featured. We had a 16lb Silky Terrier that loved going in our old RV. He would race out the door and into the RV and hopped right into his traveling spot, he was eager to go and not miss out! Have also enjoyed your visits to breweries, cafes and of course CSR, I think I'd like to try Bourbon Pecan and Hickory St.
We have a 37 ft 5th wheel now but started with a 24 ft pull behind trailer. We didn't realize how big he was going to get, and when he laid down he took up all the floor space. We had to try to step over him constantly.
Just found your channel. I have a white husky with blue eyes that looks just like him, so the first thing I did was look for the dog videos only to see that he passes away. My heart broke and I send you lots of love even if it happened 2 years ago.
Sorry to hear about Duke, I know it's a hard thing to do. We had to put down our pit bull (who insisted he was a lap dog) because of cancer in one of his legs. Hands down one of the toughest things to do.
I forgot to mention earlier that Leo looks like a husky samoyed mix to me. I used to be in love with samoyeds and his white coat and great smile are ringers for a samoyed. They are also intelligent, happy and good-natured dogs.
Ha, I didn't know so I googled and found... "and being stubborn are some general Samoyed breed traits" silverfoxsamoyeds.com/samfaqs.html Also, check out this to see some husky samoyed mix pics: www.google.com/search?q=husky+samoyed+mix&rlz=1CATAAB_enUS635US635&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwjYt6vX0a3OAhVU_GMKHdH4ARQQsAQIHQ&biw=1366&bih=655
I can't imagine our lab not interested in food... hahaha. We feed Terra 2x a day and about an hour before her feeding time she starts following me around giving "the stare". She LOVES to travel; we have a dog park app that shows dog parks and dog friendly restaurants. While traveling we like top stop at a park and throw the ball for 20 mins to ware her out then she just zonks out.
Great video. Getting ready within weeks to start fulltime with our Great Dane. Needless to say, we need to travel with bulk food so your storage container for food stored below is good. Many thanks. Keep up your great videos.
Excellent video. I am with you, traveling with a dog is great. I don't know what I would do without my dogs ! In fact, I think it's easier to travel with dogs than it is children. Thanks for sharing ! Stay Safe, Have fun & Happy Travels to you.
I’m buying an RV very soon and everything you mentioned about restrictions is fine with me. Haha He’s my best buddy, there’s nothing that I feel he would hold me back from. But also my boy is crazy good. Fireworks don’t bother him at all. I’m a Personal Chef and spend a lot of time together and can’t wait for this adventure.
Ha ha! I just watched this at work so Ozz hasn't seen it yet. I'm sure he will when we watch it at home. We are happy to watch Leo any time you are in the Denver area. Ozz and Mattie would have a ball with him. Tennis balls!
We've had Tucker out to our seasonal site many times and he enjoys it. Hope to do some traveling with him soon. Interesting how you handle flea and tick prevention. We will talk with our vet about it. Waupaca S'more Fun is heavily forested.
Thank you guys for the great tips! Will soon be traveling and I have a pup... so this really helps! You guys rock! Can you do a video of the places you've stayed in different states? Would love some recomendations! :)
That's awesome you two rescued vs bought! Sub'd by the way just because of the line " Rottweilers, pitbulls some people have a pre conceived notion on these dogs" No one understands that more than us lol. We travel with TWO! Sad to hear about you having to put your dog down ;( Solid advice on the vets in the area, something we've preached. All around solid advice!
I live in Wisconsin and it's crazy how many people own dogs, yet there's not a lot of places you can take your dog! We've been here about a year and a half. I have found 1 dog park and 1 people park that's dog friendly. It's a shame. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on traveling with a dog. We will be traveling with our dog, who is 11 years old. I'm going to look into that harness. Thanks again!
Sorry to hear about your other baby. Let me know if you decide to get Leo a friend. My daughter has a 6mo old gsd that she is wanting to find a good home for. She wants a loving, active home with experience with gsd. She's military and in nursing school and he needs more attention. His name is Lincoln and he's good with dogs, kids etc. She would love to be able to watch him have lots of experiences and love!
Kait and I looked at each other when we read that and both said - that's dangerous. We love GSD's but are considering going international and because of that aren't considering another dog. If things change and she still has Lincoln, we'd love to meet him and see if its a match :)
Ok just thought I would check. She loves him and is trying to make it work, just afraid he's going to miss out with her gone so much. You contact me if things change;) chances are she will still have him lol.
Great video guys! I’m a mom of four small dogs and I’m considered selling all my property and hitting the road. You gave me a lot to think about. Thanks again
Awwww, Leo is afraid of heights. LOL! You guys are awesome puppy parents and these are excellent tips. We always travel with our dogs, but next month we're renting our first RV and touring thru CO, NM, AZ, and UT. I cant wait! We Love our Webmaster harnesses, also. Worth every penny. I also like the Float Coat.. Cheers!
It's all about Leo :D Hey Joe, it's true that dog's areeeeee like a magnet... I have Leo to thank for finding your channel cuz the 1st video I ever saw of yours wuz about your fuz-zy friend! However, the adorably fun, entertaining, educational and well put together videos have kept me here, hehehe.
When you're at campgrounds that allow dogs, do they have rules about being on a leash or tied up when you're outside with them grilling out for example?
Thanks for sharing. We travel with our Aussie Shepard and two cats and, like you, find our travels to be so much richer with our pets! (not to mention that people seem to be much more interested in AussieOne than in us!)
Im not sure why YT decided to put this video up on my newsfeed right now, tonight, but im glad they did! I haven't seen it in ages, but it sorta sets my priorities straight! Expect an email from me soon...and thanks once again for the cool "poke" at the end of this vid! #PatreonRocks #LeoRocks #StarshipRusso
I have two siberian huskies and I Want to do the RV lifestyle and explore this world with them! My family thinks its a stupid idea, but its my dream and I will do it with or without their approval. I'm 31 years old and am stuck in a boring monotonous routine, renting a duplex from my mom ... I Want to be out and adventure!
I'm glad to have found your videos. I have two dogs and we plan to take them on our adventures with us. My family likes to hike and visit parks and camp. We just bought a used 5th wheel camper and can't wait to go on some fun trips. I also plan to document our adventures vlog-style. Check it out if you get a chance! You shared a lot of good tips for us to keep in mind when travelling with our pups. Thanks!
Hi, love this video about the fur baby. I think Leo is a husky German Shepherd mix with his build and size. I had one and he was a sweetheart too. So I love to see Leo videos because he looks so much like my boy did in shape not color. Another great video.
Thanks! We've wondered about the Shepherd thing but, aside from the size, he doesn't have any Shepherd traits. We met a gentleman who used to show and raise Huskies and told us that he didn't doubt Leo was full Husky, just bigger than the standard.
+We're the Russos Yes, his built but also his eyes. I had wolf shepherds and a register wolf hybrid. The hybrid was husky wolf 60/40. The shepherds have kind, intentive loving eyes. The husky are fun loving, playful, mischievous eyes. Even though Leo has blue eyes you can still see the shepherd. With wolf in all of mine but the last shepherd/husky who had brown eyes except for a spec of blue in one eye, all my others with wolf in them had yellow eyes.
Hello Russos, Enjoyed watching your video since I'm researching RVing with my wife and dog. Leo is a beautiful dog and looks very contented and happy! What are the issues with keeping your RV home clean with him? Thanks.
Hey there. 😊 We just started our own channel and we have two large dogs ( a pitbull and cane corso)...We are preparing for a future in Rving...including getting our girls used to the rv.
So glad I found your video because I have 2 huskies!! So you are comfortable leaving him without a kennel? We've always kenneled our girls but I'm concerned about space :S
Your dog is beautiful . Sorry you had to put your other dog down . Have you ever checked out the Bannfield Veterinary clinic inside PETCO ' s ? Chris & Sheri from Technomadia use them fo their cat Kiki
Hi Guys thanks for all the great tips! I am just starting out full time Rving with my 2 small dogs. What kind of fencing can I put around the door so I can let them go potty late at night? I will be there with them I just don't want to wander out too far late at night It would be nice to have a little designated area Thanks again! From Liz
Really, it doesn't matter what the owner of the campground, or the people that work there think about certain breeds. It's all about insurance coverage. Most insurance policies these days prohibit coverage for a list of breeds. Some that are prolific biters would surprise you - Dalmatians are near the top of the list.
If you or your dog should ever get bit by pit bull vs a lab there’s a huge difference. Pits have extra strong jaws n bite which they lock when biting. It’s what they were bred for as the lab retrieves ducks so need a soft mouth. We rescued a pit and he locked on to our old lab. Only way he finally released was my husband did choke hold so he pass out. It was very sad experience and I was lucky he was home for dinner. Though my Vet showed how I can do same with dog leash if ever happens to anyone I do agree that they are sweet dogs if raised well. The rescue had not been raised well and Vet felt he’d been in fights. Poor dog didn’t know how to play or what a stream was. He knew he been bad. Anyways I also get mad at backyard breeders of labs or even some professional who have bred to make them much larger which caused health and they lost original lab laid back personality. English still have the original size n mellow personalities. But in one video Leo is attacked by a off leash at Klamath Falls. His heavy coat helped n he was very lucky that the pit didn’t get a firm bite. Our lab who was 15 had to get about 20 stitches. She had big ruff around her neck plus collar is what saved her. I’m still careful if I see a pit owner with dog off leash and owner not watching their dog. One last we rescued an older French mastiff who had huge mouth n was 160lbs. He was too old n arthritic to seriously hurt any dog but we always leashes him n went places to let him off leash alone. We tried to get training for his aggressive behavior as it scared dogs n people. Even trainer was scared to pet him. He would been fine. He improved actually a lot for the few years we had him and he loved being in a pack with our original dogs which he had known since he was a pup. He felt more secure with them especially our lab, and jack. He tolerated our Queensland at home but walking he was part of pack. Point is dogs that are bred to protect are more aggressive and need special training than like lab or a beagle. It’s best to do your homework before getting any dog. Socialize socialize as it makes calm gentle happy 🐕
heatherjasper97 dachshund are known to possibly be bitters especially at kids. Again socialize can help this bred to be calmer and not bite as it can help all dogs. Just these have tendencies as do cocker spaniels. Not saying all bite
heatherjasper97 some towns counties are banning certain breeds like pits but it’s because humans who have them use for fights n never spay or neuter so they get overwhelmed with that breed n becomes big problem. As to biters rotts were at my Vet’s top problem. He muzzled all since he couldn’t trust owners idea. Also I’ve seen them be wonderful dogs but owner worked daily for few hours even at 6 yrs old dog. High strung like Dalmatian and even bad bred labs especially if dogs don’t get exercise. Problem with rotts n mastiff all very large dogs if they bite it can do a lot of damage compared to dachshund
I'm loving your videos! I would love to RV and travel like you guys. Unfortunately I have to work and the little problem of not having an RV is an issue. Lol We are looking to invest in one though. If you don't mind me asking, how do you travel so much and are able to afford it? Do you have a job that you can take with you anywhere?
How does your RV run with the air conditioning when u are not there? Do u need to leave a generator on? Or, solar? And, how long does it last if you are not plugged in somewhere? and, can u lock up your RV while the AC is on? I do the van life & am looking into getting a new van, but, affordable, &, would love to find some AC that will work for my dog/cat when I'm not there that is totally trustworthy in heat. Wondering if certain setups only last for limited periods of time - like solar for ac or ceiling fans that are temperature controlled? Thank u so much !!!
Hey Andy - our current van has a set up that will allow us to run the AC off batteries/solar until they're drained and then automatically start the engine to charge the batteries - all while keeping the AC on. I discuss it more abut mid-way through this video: ruclips.net/video/QWBCtw3EzSo/видео.html
Btw, I should of introduced myself, (where are my manners!?) I am getting an RV next month, my first! my bf and I will also be rving full time (tiny house), with a dog, cat and a cockateil! Still trying to figure out how we will fit the bird in, as to where to put the cage. It is a 1998 Coachman Leprechaun. Am so happy. Any points for a newbie??
Lots of points but the big one is going to be communicate, communicate, communicate with your BF and vice versa or you'll kill each other after the first month. We cover a lot of stuff in our videos for newbies so check out what we have in the library. Enjoy and congrats!
Thank you! I think it will be challenging sometimes for him to communicate, at times, he's like a big kid sometimes, and other times very stubborn, (typical Gemini). Although he's usually very to get along with, he's curious, so always asking me Q's, so hopefully it will work.. he is as excited as I am about the whole thing..
Have you tried the app BringFido? It lists pet friendly restaurants, hotels, etc. in an area as well as dog parks, etc. I have a rescue too -- Ruby, an 8-month-old black lab/Anatolian shepherd mix. As for coffee, I think I'd like to try the Sticky Bun and the S'mores. Yes, I'm a frou-frou coffee drinker. Haha. Love you guys.
We've referenced BringFido a few times. Will have to check it a bit more often. Our normal routine is find the places we want to visit, then call to see if they are dog friendly. Had no idea that CSR made a S'more coffee! We are headed back to Champaign next week. May have to stop in and smell that one.
Thank you Thank you Thank you J & K! Leo is the BEST LOOKING POOCHIE I've ever seen! And his "Rock Star" persona, does not bear close examination! If he were my dog, I'd teach him language skills, so that he'd stand TALL amongst other doggies (nana na naaaa naa-I can speak & you can't Mr Pitbull)! Oh and Btw, I put a little donation in for him, so you guys will see it on the 11th or 12th! EXCELLENT VIDEO, w/o you two even trying...amazing! 🍻😎
Thanks, we figured you would enjoy it - hence the little stinger at the end of the video, not sure if you saw it :) Thank you again for the upcoming donation!
+We're the Russos Ohhh, you're more than welcome! Actors get paid to act in movies! You guys not only act, but you also direct, edit, you're your own grip, gaffer & best boy (movie making terms)😉! If we can pay $12 for a cinema fee, I feel we (your fans) should help by coughing up a few bucks and send it forward, bec what you guys do is very "cinematic" to me!
Any campground that restricts dog breeds, are usually due to their insurance policy. Most insurance companies will not cover certain breeds....pitbulls,etc.
I have a young relative that was given an old RV to live in. He's just starting out in life (hasn't built credit) plus has a dog (a lot of obstacles to find a place to live.) So the 1972 RV seemed like a great solution! Prob is no rv park will have him with a vehicle over a decade old. Any workarounds/suggestions/advice?
I want to hear more about this tornado... I'm thinking about full time life on the road, but in an ultralight travel trailer, so what in the world do I do if a tornado comes to scoop up me and the dogs?
Great video...but I heard you mention you would cover the hair issue with a big dog...I never heard the answer...other than that...awesome video and love your life
We started our travel blog years ago, calling it "Ron and Hazel's Travels with Nuggie", with a tip of the hat to John Steinbeck, who traveled the country in a camper with his dog, writing about it in his best selling book "Travels with Charley". Cocker spaniel "Nuggie" is now 14 years old, still going strong and enjoying the view as we travel down the road. www.mytripjournal.com/ronandhazel
My Boyfriend and I are about to purchase our first RV. I’m looking for as much tip and truck for dogs as I can as we have not 1, not 2, BUT 4 DOGS! I know they will love the adventures but I also know that’s a lot of dogs to travel with! Any suggestions for traveling with Multiple large dogs??
This sounds great but it requires a chill dog! I have two that are sweet but high strung. They don't relax when surrounded by strange folks and other dogs. I'm not sure what to do.
housekeeping question : is there anything you can do to stop pup bringing in sand or dirt into the RV/caravan?, we are looking to camp at beach campsites and are thinking our doggy is going to be bringing in sand all the time.
late to the party. wife and I are thinking about being part timers and love our dogs. We would have to work on the road as well. Having dependable climate control would be a priority. Has anybody had any issues with power outages? Do RV's have back up generators? Maybe we can just get jobs that allow dogs to come to work. haha.
Do you get a certificate of health from your vet just to avoid problems when you cross state lines? What veterinary records do you keep with you in order to provide a new vet with a medical history for your dog? Please make people aware that dry dog or cat food WILL go bad in a hot environment. This was an issue when I lived in Yuma, AZ. Dog food couldn't be stored in the attached garage during the summer months when temps soared into the one-teens. This could be an issue for RVers depending on where they travel. And also as a parting shot... Similar to WebMd, PetMd is a wonderful source of information. It has some pretty good articles on things like heat stress, how to recognize it and how to treat it.
They make devices that work on cellular networks that can alert you. That said - unless it’s in the mid 80s or higher, as long as you leave some windows open with the roof vents running, the RV will stay very comfortable. It’s not like leaving a dog in a car.

Thank you so much for rescuing your furkids and in particular, making sure they remain active members of your family!

I like how Leo smiles. He is a happy dog
We just took a 1000 mile trip in our RV with our 6 dogs ranging from a St. Bernard to a Pom. Found a campground that would accept us and had a great time. We were the hit of the place with several kids dropping by to play with them.

Great dog tips. 🐶 The tip about calling places ahead of time, to see if it is dog friendly and taking your dog with you, is a great tip. Great video. 👏👍👏
I'm so jealous of people with chill dogs. I have a super reactive chocolate lab. I want to travel with him but he's a nightmare to take anywhere.
We have 3 dogs - 3 BIG ones - and we are heading into full-time RV living! Thank you for the information! We'll see you out there.

Great video. I have two rescued German Shepherds who I like to take camping, so this is good to know. Leo is a beauty!
I'm so sorry for both of your losses. I'm glad that y'all had those good times together. I'm sure you can tell some good stories about those two.
Our pups have become a sooo mellow in their old ages. They've been excellent on the road. Leo seems like a cool dog. I know you miss him.
These are really awesome tips! Thank you so much for sharing your life.
Thank you folks for the information. God bless Leo.
You're welcome Wayne! Have a great day :)
I enjoy your videos very much and am always pleased when Leo is featured. We had a 16lb Silky Terrier that loved going in our old RV. Thanks Gail - sounds a lot like Leo whenever we're getting ready to head somewhere new! We've had the Hickory St blend and its really nice, good luck!
What a beautiful peaceful setting. Great info and, I have to say it again, Leo is such a beautiful dog - just gorgeous!
Thank you, he really is the star of the show!
We have a 37 ft 5th wheel now but started with a 24 ft pull behind trailer. We didn't realize how big he was going to get, and when he laid down he took up all the floor space. We had to try to step over him constantly.
+Missy smith lol that's hilarious! Luckily Leo likes to find little nooks in our RV and sometimes we really have to look for him.

Oh wow those do look a lot like Leo - maybe we should try one of those DNA tests.
Ha, but are they stubborn, lol, just kiddin'. Dna test would be interesting, but I think ur safe just calling him your husky husky :D :D

Would love to see pics of the Dane in your RV! Those containers are great and they have different sizes.
Excellent video. I am with you, traveling with a dog is great. I don't know what I would do without my dogs ! In fact, I think it's easier to travel with dogs than it is children. Thanks for sharing ! Stay Safe, Have fun & Happy Travels to you.
thats awesome he is very much loved
That does it...I'm gonna satisfy my curiosity about Flagstaff ☀️ wonderful vlog, thanks from a dog lover
My dog would love this. My mom recently bought an RV and intends to RV full time. I wish I had saved more of my PTO to take a month off with her LoL
I'm a bit paranoid as I would worry on a hot day, the power goes out in the park. Yikes!
I’m buying an RV very soon and everything you mentioned about restrictions is fine with me. Haha
He’s my best buddy, there’s nothing that I feel he would hold me back from.
We might have to take you up on the offer, we have friends in Fort Collins and some in Denver! Hope to meet you guys when we come through the area.
+We're the Russos We have kids in Ft. Collins with more dogs!
We've had Tucker out to our seasonal site many times and he enjoys it. Hope to do some traveling with him soon. Interesting how you handle flea and tick prevention. We will talk with our vet about it. Waupaca S'more Fun is heavily forested.
French Vanilla. Wonderful video. I love seeing Leo. When you are back in Door County we can give you some locations that Leo can go shopping.
Thanks! Leo and shopping is a bad combo - he wants everything ;)
Thank you, very helpful. Happy Trails..
Thank you guys for the great tips! Will soon be traveling and I have a pup... so this really helps! You guys rock! Can you do a video of the places you've stayed in different states? Would love some recomendations! :)
Worthwhile video thanks for sharing
Yep, Leo is really the star of the show :) Just happy that we can keep your attention too! Thanks!
I love that u guys travel with him its awesome he is your kid so it's amazing that he loves traveling to I have 3 dogs I love them alot
+GoingGonzoRV oh we know the feeling of the dog being the center of attention.
Im not sure why YT decided to put this video up on my newsfeed right now, tonight, but im glad they did! I haven't seen it in ages, but it sorta sets my priorities straight! Expect an email from me soon...and thanks once again for the cool "poke" at the end of this vid! #PatreonRocks #LeoRocks #StarshipRusso
lol - forgot about that little mention at the end! Looking forward to the email!
Awesome! Thanks for the Info.
Love the video thank you for sharing. Your truly great puppy boy owners. Leo is a lucky boy
great video and info guys! Thanks for sharing!
Ah so cool! Would you consider making a list of all the great spots to take dogs some time? I'd love to save them in Google maps.
We typically do it by city when we can find things...if you check out our website we list a lot of places: weretherussos.com/?s=dog
+We're the Russos I use to raise Shepherds and I see it.
That's really interesting - anything in particular stand out to you or just his general appearance?
+We're the Russos Yes, his built but also his eyes. I had wolf shepherds and a register wolf hybrid. The hybrid was husky wolf 60/40. The shepherds have kind, intentive loving eyes. The husky are fun loving, playful, mischievous eyes. Even though Leo has blue eyes you can still see the shepherd. With wolf in all of mine but the last shepherd/husky who had brown eyes except for a spec of blue in one eye, all my others with wolf in them had yellow eyes.
You should try downtown Port Orchard, WA. they love dog's restaurant's, bar's, store's or just walking around town.
Hello Russos, Enjoyed watching your video since I'm researching RVing with my wife and dog. Leo is a beautiful dog and looks very contented and happy! What are the issues with keeping your RV home clean with him? Thanks.
Very informative. Thank you for the good tips.
I'm more of a cat person. But Leo has an exceptional personally, from what I can see. He would be the exception.
Good info,Thank you!
Hey there. 😊 We just started our own channel and we have two large dogs ( a pitbull and cane corso)...We are preparing for a future in Rving...including getting our girls used to the rv.
Ha! Another "re-edited" video lol! I like how at 1:24, you show Leo & Duke together at that rest stop 👍👍
I have a large hairy dog too. Great information!
Hi Guys
thanks for all the great tips! I am just starting out full time Rving with my 2 small dogs. What kind of fencing can I put around the door so I can let them go potty late at night?
I will be there with them I just don't want to wander out too far late at night It would be nice to have a little designated area
Thanks again!
From Liz
My favorite breed of all time is the American Pit bull Terrier.
I was bit by my grandma's dog, I think he was a beagle or a similar breed, and a second cousin's dachshund.
Though my Vet showed how I can do same with dog leash if ever happens to anyone
I do agree that they are sweet dogs if raised well.
+roberto abrams Ohhh, and thank you for the little "poke" there at the end of the video! I love it when you guys give me a mention! 👏🏻👍👍
Any campground that restricts dog breeds, are usually due to their insurance policy. Most insurance companies will not cover certain breeds....pitbulls,etc.
True. This is why its near impossible to get an apartment if you have a pitbull.
I have a young relative that was given an old RV to live in. He's just starting out in life (hasn't built credit) plus has a dog (a lot of obstacles to find a place to live.) So the 1972 RV seemed like a great solution! Prob is no rv park will have him with a vehicle over a decade old. Any workarounds/suggestions/advice?
...very cool, informative...thnk you!!
I want to hear more about this tornado... I'm thinking about full time life on the road, but in an ultralight travel trailer, so what in the world do I do if a tornado comes to scoop up me and the dogs?
👍 Very nice video & info. Leo is beautiful as always. 🤗
Great video...but I heard you mention you would cover the hair issue with a big dog...I never heard the answer...other than that...awesome video and love your life
I think it's important to mention that if you are traveling with your dog that you do get a bordatello shot. This is not just for if you are boarding.
How long did you live in the rv with dogs? I’ve got two golden retrievers.
My plan is to live long term in a trailer
We started our travel blog years ago, calling it "Ron and Hazel's Travels with Nuggie", with a tip of the hat to John Steinbeck, who traveled the country in a camper with his dog, writing about it in his best selling book "Travels with Charley". Cocker spaniel "Nuggie" is now 14 years old, still going strong and enjoying the view as we travel down the road. www.mytripjournal.com/ronandhazel
My mother always like to quote that book and bring it up in reference to Leo - thanks Ron!
That is a very good read!
Hello, what about possible power outages and dry camping with a dog in hot climates?
Pet Supermarkets have great self-service dog bathing centers
This sounds great but it requires a chill dog! I have two that are sweet but high strung. They don't relax when surrounded by strange folks and other dogs. I'm not sure what to do.
LEO Rules!°°°°°°
Thank you
he is a handsome buddy
housekeeping question : is there anything you can do to stop pup bringing in sand or dirt into the RV/caravan?, we are looking to camp at beach campsites and are thinking our doggy is going to be bringing in sand all the time.
There’s no stopping sand no matter what you do. Even if you don’t have a pup you’ll get sand inside.
I didn't realise Leo was a senior citizen lol but I sure can't see how anybody would have an Issue with that big teddy bear !
We joke that since he can't turn gray, we're wondering if he'll turn black!
***** LMAO never even thought of that part .
late to the party. wife and I are thinking about being part timers and love our dogs.
My biggest concern would the the AC stopping due to a power cut or fault and not knowing while I’m out.
They make devices that work on cellular networks that can alert you. That said - unless it’s in the mid 80s or higher, as long as you leave some windows open with the roof vents running, the RV will stay very comfortable. It’s not like leaving a dog in a car.
Lovely...
