There are definitely places where OEM parts are the best. And the amount of experience Jeep has with building removable tops is one of those places. Though, if you have a 07-09(ish) JK, they use a different top/seal design which had a lot of issues. I will certainly be coming back to these videos when its time to redo the seals on my '17.
Yep, this is for sure one of those times...LOL I'm looking forward to the direct comparison to the Mopar door seals and really going for a good test again.
This is so great. I have a 2016 JKU that I dearly love, but the driver's side leaks like badly. Now I have a guide to trying to successfully address it (After a couple of unsuccessful attempts!). Thanks.
I’ve heard that the leaking at front base of door maybe be caused by the windshield cowl seal (the one between the bottom of the windshield and cowl) that also meets the door about half way down.
Hey Jason. Long time subscriber to your awesome channel. Keep up the great content. Your stuff has helped my “Jeeping” journey. I do have a question. Like you, I also have stock radio in my Jeep. Any recommendations on a reliable Bluetooth adapter (iPhone compatible)? Not sure if you ever discussed what you are using. Thanks for all you do!
Happy Thanksgiving!.... Aftermarket/Repro parts are really hit or miss. Sorry it was a miss for you but can't blame you as price difference was substantial. Don't loose sleep over what you're doing. You are providing valuable tips/info and entertainment and some of us are willing to contribute. Keep it up my friend.
Awesome! We just had a Rain Storm up here in NorCal last week, and I had a Lake in my Jeep (Drivers Side only) , and I have my HardTop on 🤔, and Yes I sit on a Inclined Driveway too 😡
I've got my F250 and my 89 Bronco that need new seals. Don't know why seals have to be such a fight from the aftermarket but I have a feeling I'll be going thru a few before everything is seal'd like factory again.
Jason, again awesome video. I will do that on my JK for sure. The part that was missing along the strip was due to the Sunrider tabs that engaging it when closing it, what is the situation with the new seal? is the Sunrider ripped or damaged it again when you closed it? Thanks for the video and good luck.

Maybe...good suggestion.

Howdy! Oddly enough, I've just left the stock radio in the Jeep with no adapters... I keep thinking of doing something.

With all of your projects... you'll get it for sure!
First! that was a good one! 👍
Howdy and thanks to my special helper for this one!
Jason, again awesome video. I will do that on my JK for sure.

Great suggestion... next time I jump in there I'll check!
👌
🤘👍
I believe we have a common friend in common...Frank Alioto ?
Yes! I've been fortunate to work with him a few times on the show Dirt Every Day and have appreciated his shenanigans on social media for years.
@AutoEdits love wheeling with Frank, he's a really good person!
👍
You can’t be getting that much rain though. Take your carpet out and coat your floors with something. Mine is out and easy to drain.
If I did get more rain I would take the carpets out but I like having them for the most part.
I have a Jeep Wrangler JK. When it rains, water runs into the floor boards when I open the doors. Does anyone have any ideas on how to prevent this?

I’ve come to the point in my life that it isn’t worth buying aftermarket crap. Just buy OEM!
Yep, agreed. I just got tempted by that massive price difference... but because of that I should've known better LOL
