Howdy everyone, thanks so much for being here! I put links to all the parts and options in the video description. If you can help support the channel, please consider hitting the JOIN button and become a member. I'm just working out how all the perks will go and with your help we can make that pretty awesome. Enjoy your drive!
Perfect timing-Turns out the seals on our 2015 JK are shot too. We've been dealing with water pooling on the floor for a while, and I recently noticed the bottom seals on both front doors have detached and won’t stay in the track anymore. Thankfully, being able to take the doors off will make the repair much easier. Looking forward to the header video!
I bought my 2014 JKU in 2017, discovered your channel then, and have been watching since (even the non-Jeep stuff 😂). I've never joined a channel but just joined yours. I still work in SoCal (in your neck of the woods) but moved to Utah a couple of years ago. Great channel, keep up the great work!
I would never join any RUclips memberships….. except for yours. You are phenomenal and I, and I’m sure lots of others, would be more than happy to support you. You make phenomenal videos and are one of the main reasons I got into jeeping. Hopefully we can all work together to help you keep this thing running!
I am happy to become a member! You have helped me immensely over the past seven years of Jeep ownership, and I know firsthand what goes into creating content and getting it up on RUclips. Keep up the great work!
Thanks so much for this Jason. I have been fighting the wading pool of water that accumulates every time it rains on my '14 JKU. I've done the replacement to the newer MOPAR seals for both doors, as well as added a stick on gasket to the door frame itself. Now only the driver side is doing it (which is still so maddening.)
Jason, my family loves your chanel and content. We are huge Jeeps, desert and Death Valley fans. Waiting for more your adventures. Very happy to become a member!
Thank you for this video. I’ve actually been considering now that I have to change that on my doors pretty soon as well as the hinge. Sleeves as I’ve not taken my doors off yet this was very helpful and I do like your other videos as well. Have a great day.
@AutoEdits Thanks, will do! It's definitely that small piece you made thats leaking on mine. Been trying to figure it out and you hit it right on the nail! Gonna order all the seals today.
Wish I could do the paid thing man. Just got a 2015 2 door willys adition4. I love your videos. Can't wait to get started with it'll. Been rewarding your stuff
I appreciate that for sure. Being in a desperate financial position feels awful and I hate this but feel lucky if there might be a few folks out there that are in a good enough spot to help out. Good luck to you and your project.
Good video. I did the seals about a year ago and it made a difference. Doors are still harder to shut which I actually appreciate. 2 things. One, if you have a JK before 2015 I highly recommend ordering the seals from a 2015 to 2018. They have been redesigned a little and seem to do a much better job at keeping the water out. 2, you mention tolerances. One thing I have seen on a lot of different JK's is the door alignment in and out. Essentially how tight it closes to the body. I have noticed a larger number of them the doors are not quite as tight to the body so when you close them, the door feels slightly further out from the body. Just a recommendation, but consider making a video for adjusting the hinges to resolve this. Even after replacing my seals I still had some leaking, still using the Freedom Panels, at the top of my doors. Both sides were not tight to the body with the passenger side being worse. Loosened the hinges (bottom and all but one bolt at the top then reverse) and adjusted my doors closer. Fully resolved the issue. And a side note, the Bestop Sunrider for Hardtop, after getting new rails and hardware, no longer leaks. Haven't got a drop inside. Only downside is still thier customer service. I let them know again and they opened a case again to only close it again without ever contacting me back. Third time in a row I have had this happen. All I really wanted was a partial reimbursement for the updated parts I bought so just be aware their customer service for warranty issues leaves a lot to be desired. YMMV.
Hi Jason, good to see you back working on JK. Membership? Heck yeah, I'd be more than happy to support your channel. Let me know when you got things sorted out. Count me in, buddy.
Howdy dude and thanks so much for the thought! Here's the page for when you might feel like checking it out. I want to make sure everyone is 100% so only if you really can and feel like it. I already appreciate your upbeat and positive participation and support over the years on the channel! ruclips.net/channel/UC-x_DsqUIGzv42kQ526E0_Ajoin
Last winter my Jeep started to leak on the driver door. I suspect it is that front corner. And I totally forgot that it leaked until I saw this video. So before the big rains hit, I need to see how it is leaking.
As a Jeep tech, the header seals a rarely bad, it’s the adhesive at the very ends that fail, I usually just use some butyl and fill in the gap and smooth it out. Even the new ones need butyl at the ends to get it sealed up right. Also the door seals will break in after a while

This was a great video. Concise and clear, good camera angles and cuts. As a new JK owner this helps quite bit. You earned yourself another sub.
Awesome, thank you!
I have never joined any channel ever...until now. I'm happy to support you in some small way every step of the way.
I appreciate this so much... just want to make sure everyone is ok and will work on how to make it special.
🔥 JK content, I have never subscribed to a channel, but I got you Jason! You helped me over the years with all the entertaining videos
Dude, I am really nervous about even asking but appreciate the support!
Thanks!
So wonderful, thank you so much!!!!!!!!

This is just the video I needed to see. My seal has been leaking for a while forcing me to just ride without carpet so it's easy cleaning 😅.
Dang! Make sure to check out the next video to see the water test and header seal replacement. It might help with your troubleshooting!

@AutoEdits thank you, sir. Cant wait to see more videos from ya. Sorry about the spelling screw ups lol I was half asleep lol
the Innovative AT Products 4 tire air system I found from your video is absolutely FANTASTIC!
Glad to hear that... I still love it!
Thanks
Hey, thank you!
First time joining a RUclips membership. Had to RUclips how to do it from my phone. lol
This is hilarious and amazing to hear... thank you so much!!!!!!!!!

Good info on the door adjustments. Which seals did you install, Omix or Mopar?
@@AutoEdits Went with the Mopar ones. I ordered some Crown aftermarket ones and sent them straight back. They were not near as good.
That's what I should've done here.
Good to see ya back on the RUclipss! Set up that membership site. Would be glad to help a brother out 💪
Howdy and thank you! ruclips.net/channel/UC-x_DsqUIGzv42kQ526E0_Ajoin

Take my money dude!!!
HA! Thanks so much!
Apparently the Mopar door seals have been revised since they made our 2013's so that they allegedly don't leak anymore
Yes, it's the new part number and I'm keeping my old one's to compare when I eventually get a new mopar set.
Hi were did you get the rear fender flares
Metalcloak
Yes, what @StlrNtn95 says... here's the video of the install ruclips.net/video/QvR6Aaw2JNU/видео.html
