I could not for the life of me figure out why my portrait wasn't cutting all the way through my paper for stickers, even though everything settings, layout, cut lines, and registration was working. Nothing else had told me i needed to SNAP the blade into place for that blue dot!! Thank you sooo much for making that a point in setup, you saved me from giving up on this thing ^^

This thing is a noisy sucker compared to the cricut, thanks for explaining how the blade went in, I seemed to miss that pull out tab in the official instructions.

I’m sorry but I don’t get the question. When making sticker you can make die cut or kiss cut stickers.
@@AvantiMorocha1 But if I add text to a sticker the machine wants to cut out each letter as well unless I take every letter and remove the cut lines separately.

It depends, if the piece has many details it can be hard. 30 mm is not that small.

If you don't have a computer can you still Bluetooth through the phone?
I’m not a fan of Silhouette Go the app, which I feel is still lacking many things. I recommend using a computer.

Yes, as long as they are on compatible with the software.
Hiii, my machine wil not cut at all. It won’t even make a mark on my heat transfer vinyl at all. I checked and the blade is pushed all the way in. Do u know why this is happening? Also du know any good settings I can use for heat transfer vinyl? Please help .

I'm thinking in scan a drawing and choose specific areas to cut, but in 65 lb paper. Can that be done? If so, how will you do it?
Hi, yes, you need to use the software. You can move the image in the mat to the position you want. You can always download the software for free and play with it.

Hi, you can create your own design I another software like Corel or Illustrator, then you need to upload them to Silhouette Studio, make sure you save the file in the format that are comparable with Silhouette Studio.

Hi, I’ll say it’s similar to Cricut Joy Xtra, however Silhouette software for someone that is not familiar with graphics programs can be more challenging. Cricut Design Space is a very intuitive and friendly software.

Hi, you need a computer, desktop or laptop. You could also use a mobile device, but this one has its limitations.
Plz tell what’s difference in portrait 3 n cameo 4?
It’s mainly the cut power, Cameo4 can cut thicker material.
What size can you do print and cut on it
Hi, you can use letter sized paper, the area is less because it need to have the print marks.
Can it be used to cut polyflex?
I’ll recommend Cameo for thicker material.
Please kindly tell if portrait 3 can easily cut felt.
Hi, I won’t recommend for felt. If you want to use a Silhouette you’ll need to use Cameo4

Hi, 2mm for portrait is too thick, it’s going to take forever to cut it. I wouldn’t recommend it.

why or how the autoblade doesn't cut the mat ?
Hi, because in the software you’re selecting the material. The blade knows what setting to use base on the thickness of the material.

Hi thanks for this video! Can you give some more info on how to load the mat? I make stickers and my machine struggles to read the registration marks and the cutting seems slightly off. I’m pretty certain this is a user error and I’m not loading it in right. Thanks again for this video!
Hi, make sure you're using mate paper (not glossy). Use the same size paper on Silhouette Studio and the mat. If you're using A4 paper put it on the line mark for A4 on the mat.

@@hotpinkbritnibaby hey, I know I'm not the one you asked but its because glossy paper reflects light! Because of a bunch of tech stuff, those reflections make it harder for the machine to read

Hi, unless you are having and offset issue you don’t need to calibrate your machine. Silhouette is pretty accurate with print and cut.

I usually cut all the same sticker sheets in one session so having to go back and forth between my silhouette and laptop is a hassle when I'm trying to also get other stuff done at the same time.

Hi, make sure you’re putting the mat and the material on the right position. Something similar happened to me and that was the reason.

I don't know what to do. I was wondering buyind the manual 2mm, but I'm afraid to have problems also with that one.

I needed to comment, because I used your video to start my cutter. I paid for it 230$ because I live in EU and they add tax to the price. That machine is a pure waste of space, nerves and money. Do not buy it. I purchased it for stickers. I bought printable stickers (so the sellers already made a silhouette cutting files.) All I had to do is print and cut. My cheap printer printed it out perfectly and when I put it into the cutter, the troubles start: registration failed. Out of 10 times, registering is only successful once. So I eventually ended up buying those super expensive stickers anyway, despite having the printables, the printer and the cutter.
I watched million videos on RUclips how to fix the damn thing. And I need to say their software is extremely complicated. If anyone is reading this before purchasing, my advice is not to buy. You will regret it.
This is pretty misleading for someone who has never had a cutting machine and is researching. All of the instructions are clear with the exception of the sticker portion. PLEASE NOTE that the machine doesn’t recognize the shapes of your stickers. You MUST use the software to tell the cutter where to cut. Please watch an entire sticker video before making a decision.
Uh? Most cutting machines work this way, you need to use the sofware to send it to cut.
