    This sounds absolutely amazing. 1980's definitely seemed like the peak points to the smooth jazz and r&b/soul music periods

    I was there in 1987, somewhere up front near the stage. Wonderful concert of Kenny G. His first in the Netherlands. Just getting popular. That location was a blessing because, after Kenny G, George Benson's show was up...

    Kenny doesn't take the whole stage just for himself, he makes plenty of room for his musicians!. very nice !

    Mesmo com a falta de respeito por parte dos técnicos de som desse show, Kenny G toca nossos corações. Kenny merece todo o respeito.

    Damn! Anyone that knocks Kenny G as a player not his music is nuts or ignorant. He’s a virtuoso. As a player for 30 years, Berklee grad, that’s studied under George Garzone, Dino Gavoni, and a friend of Jaleel Shaw and other amazing saxophonists...the runs around 32 minutes, where a fast up and down multi note trill run adds in this beating root note...shit.

      People hate on this man for some stupid reason. He's one the best to ever pick up those horns!!! And he kept his head while they were messing up his sound! He's BADD! Ive had soundmen do that to me before. It makes you pretty mad. Gotta just keep going!

    They didn't turn his horn up until like a minute into that song! He didn't let it shake him up! They did it a couple of times. Soundman should have been reprimanded bro! Musicians go through a lot of silly politics. He kept his head though!

    • @DiGasparoto

      @@B0X666 Não, ele ficou milionário tocando músicas que “tocam” muitas pessoas. São músicas que tocam a alma, não são músicas frias para agradar “cientistas musicais” frios e enjaulados numa sala de aula.

    Kenny G é show, mas o produtor do vídeo cagou na edição. O principal aparece menos de 50% nos detalhes, não valorizou o talento de quem é o dono do show, o cara devia ter alguma paixão pelo tecladista e o baixista, só pode!

    Pat Metheny rips him every chance he gets. Which, is strange in a way, because Pat sees himself as superior to the likes of Mr. G, and apparently 95% of the population, so why would he even bother? Because k.g. was famous? Rich? And Pat was respected. I never liked Kenny G whatsoever, but after hearing Pat demean him so, I like K.G. better as a human, I think.

    • @humanbeing2420
      @humanbeing2420 8 месяцев назад +1

      Metheny would never have said a word about Kenny G had Kenny not overdubbed himself over a Louis Armstrong track and released it - an absurdly presumptuous and arrogant maneuver. Never mind the quality of Kenny's playing - that had little to do with it.

    • @TheTwangKings

      I don't blame Pat. He's a real musician, and G is a cheap imitation of a musician.
