- Incognito is a British acid jazz band. Their debut album, Jazz Funk, was released in 1981. Jean-Paul 'Bluey' Maunick is the band's leader, singer, guitarist, composer, and record producer.

Too sad that I can't see them live more often. But the concert recordings compensate a bit.

Got a chance to see Incognito last night in Nashville, Tn at City Winery. What a superb performance!!!!! Best show ever. We all had a great night. Bluey took time after the show and signed cds and took pics. He is such a sweet person. We are looking forward to seeing them again soon.

Excellent groupe qui s'est fait une place dans le mouvement "Acid jazz" et qui a adopté les styles jazz-funk, soul jazz, et smooth jazz..tout en faisant référence à l’improvisation musicale d'une Jam.. Magnifique concert à voir et à revoir !! Incognito : l'un des groupes les plus emblématiques de jazz-funk britannique fondé en 1981 à Londres par Jean-Paul Maunick, alias Bluey et Paul Tubbs Williams. Depuis plus de 20 ans, le groupe aura vu défiler près de 100 musiciens et bénéficie d'une reconnaissance mondiale. Le groupe donne d'ailleurs régulièrement des concerts à l'autre bout du monde. À partir de 1991, le groupe aura enregistré plus d'une vingtaine d'albums !!!

Pour moi, le meilleur groupe de Jazz-Funk de ces 30 dernières années, supérieur aux Brand New Heavies pourtant excellents aussi.
Bluey est incapable de sortir un mauvais disque : Incognito, Citrus Sun ou en solo.
