- The all-new MEZZ.1 from L.A.B. Golf is a mid-size mallet putter that stays square all by itself.
L.A.B. Golf CEO Sam Hahn tests it against two of the most popular mid-mallet putters in the world... and you won't believe the results!

I'm a few rounds in with my Mezz. definitely it takes some adjusting and i still am. But it's feeling great and I've made a bunch of putts that mattered. Loving it.
Awesome comment here (from the guy in the video's burner YT account).
I was a terrible putter until I bought a Bettinardi Big Ben on eBay. Immediately, my putting improved dramatically. I swore I'd never use another. Recently, I stumbled across a MEZZ 1 and it is on another level. The price wouldn't allow me to pull the trigger on the purchase. Fortunately, I found a pre-owned Mezz 1 at about half the price of a new one. This putter is amazing, absolutely!
I bought a mezz max a year ago....used, not fitted.....and I love it!!! I would typically change putters 3 to 5 times a season looking for the answer. I finally found it!! I have made so many putts this year, it is nuts.....and I am a bad putter!!
I get mine tomorrow. Very excited.
This is how you do a video. Nice work.
Glad to see you guys also got stuck with that huge cover :-). Can't wait to get the real cover soon!
Best video you guys have ever made! Absolutely love your putters, and so glad I picked up the Mezz1 for the upcoming season! More birdies here we come!
I had a round with Mezz.1 few days ago. And guess what, i saved 10 puts (3-8ft, the range that I have a problem the most). My score reduces a lot. This putter is not kidding. Other friends borrowed mine and got the same result (they borrow my putter to put so basically, three guys use one putter for few holes). After I had a round with Mezz.1, I realized that most companies are not honest with customers at all. 30 years and still have the same technology with no improvement. Just change the face and head design. I hope L.a.b would develop wedges too !
I can attest…I’m a horrible putter, tried them all. I finally got the mezz cuz I couldn’t stand looking at the df2.1. The putter is sick and I get asked all the time about it. And best part is I’m now getting more balls to roll in to the hole. Easily shaved 3-5 strokes off my game.
Great stuff, Sam...love the look of the Mezz.1 as well.
Right on!
@@labgolf regarding mezz, does the Accra shaft make it that much softer compared to other graphite shaft putter shafts? Not a fan of soft feeling putters
I've had the LAB DF 2.1 for about 6 months. It's definitely the best putter I've ever used and one I expect to keep for many years. It was expensive ($550) but made to all the specs I wanted. I'm currently a 4 GHIN and play once a week (practice 4x a week). I've used about 50 putters in my life and tried every type (broomstick, short, belly, side-saddle) and grip (standard, LHL, claw, etc) but no other combination works as well as my 40" LAB w/ armbar grip. I decided to purchase the LAB after watching two other guys (a league player w/ a 3 GHIN and a PGA instructor) use it. I would highly recommend it for any single-digit golfer.
I’m sold
Good video and explanation Sam. I need to buy now!
You should!
Been wanting to try it since Adam Scott and Billy made the switch
Would like to see some reviews done by RUclips folks like Lets Play Thru. I’m wondering how this ended up in golf digest silver list. Looks like an incredible club. I ordered anyways but would have been great to see some reviews on the course.
What we tend to see in these kinds of tests is that some golfers love it right away while others feel the difference... but it doesn't quite resonate when they're switching from putter to putter in a short time span as these tests demand. L.A.B. is a different beast. Just check out the reviews on WRX and the videos from Rick Shiels and Peter Finch.
I have a B.2 L.A.B. putter, after trying out a Blad1, and these putters are the real deal. I have putted SO much better than with my previous Scotty Laguna, Piretti Matera or Evnroll ER2.
great brand. I may go back to this.
Tbh, I’m not 100% convinced of the science behind the “revealer”.. I don’t see how a putter put in a free spinning device is analogous to holding and stroking a putter in a firm grip..
I think you answered your question. My guess is with a putter you don't have to have a " firm" grip on your putter has less of a chance of changing angle mid-swing screwing up your shot. Imagen, saying you don't understand how power steering is better than having a firm grip?
It’s showing you how you’re working against the putter trying to keep the head from rotation on the way up and down causing more tension in the hands which is very bad so why not get something you don’t have to work against. it stays square the whole time no matter what you do. But you just proved his point firm grip on a putter=living off the toe and a harsh miss right the revealer proves the putters balance without explanation. Visual is way more effective than explanation.
You definitely should not be holding your putter with a firm grip. The science makes total sense behind the revealer.
You shouldn’t have to hold your putter with a firm grip…I think thats the whole point.
@ I don’t mean strangling the thing. Just normal grip pressure enough to hold the thing and complete a putting stroke.. I seriously doubt you’d notice any twisting torque..
Does alignment change drastically if not using a LAB grip?
I want the Mezz....so take off about half the price and we got a deal. 😆
Well I did that and now I'm on the website and scared another bad decision is gonna be made. Lie angle shaft length. Are these measured or is this what "feels" good? I already know the extra $380 for the LA Golf Shaft is a must and the expedited shipping is automatic. So now that I'm about a G into this I can't pull the trigger without a test drive or an actual fitting. Currently on a Odyssey 2Ball Works seems fine but I'm convinced I will never 2 putt again
Great video! I purchased the B.2 off the rack at PGASS not knowing a thing about the tech. After putting on the Press II 3 degrees grip, I worked it into the bag within two weeks and unexpectedly won first flight in the fall member/guest. Mezz. 1 came in last week. Tweaked specs/shaft and she looks/feels incredible. The only question now, which one is the backup?!
When you get tired of looking at one, switch to the other! Because both have zero torque, it will be easy to switch back and forth without changing your stroke.
Nice one team! I'd like to watch the Seemore putters in this revealer
Coming soon!
Are there any distributors in the UK for this model?
Scottsdale Golf will have them on the website from Tuesday 16th July
Will get my hands on one one day
Is it safe to say if you were fitted for the directed force that your stats and lie angle should be the same for the mezz?
Yes
#1 You need to make the revealer available for retail sale. It use to be when it was Directed Force company. Should have picked one up then. Ugh.
#2 Lets see the Axis and the Seemore Torque free putters on the Revealer. Actually hit some balls with it...
#3 Lastly, speaking of hitting balls, lets see some balls roll with the Mezz on the Revealer. Middle, Toe and Heel
Very nice & professional video 👍👍👍
I love this
How does the Link.1 behave i. "the revealer?"
Mine arrived yesterday. Makes it awfully easy to do putting practise when they keep dropping in!
Takes a little to get the speed control but once you do. You can certainly hit the putts firmer than you think.
So easy to align yourself to the putter. Everything just feels square. If you've ever seen Rick and Morty where Morty expireances true level thats how this putter feels.
Great Product!
It's why I only play LAB Golf putters!
my putts have always been closed no matter how open I intended for it to be, so that it'd be squared at impact. this might be my answer to cut down at least 5 strokes/round
Switched to LAB putters 3 years ago and can't believe how much better it works to help keep the face square at impact. Anyone playing with toe or face balanced putters is using outdated technology. Put your putter on the revealer and you'll feel how much torque it actually exerts on your arms and hands when putting. Why would anyone want to use a putter that is trying to twist during the putting stroke??
I want that.
Same as axis1 putters.
Would like to see a zoomed out shot on the whole stroke. It’s zoomed out on back stroke, but zoomed in on downstroke and you can’t see the hands. Who’s to say the thumbs aren’t involved in stabilizing to stroke. Please show whole stroked at one camera angle next time. Will make it more believable. Thanks.
ok, so it doesn't move in that device. But we're using our hands to grip it.
He didn't spin the other putter in place. Nice try
price needs to drop though...
Make sure to tune into social media tomorrow
The price point on these putters is beyond asinine. Why would someone spend 600 USD on a random no name brand of putters that hit their feed? It's laughable to pretend that Titleist and Odyssey are making a mistake the way they weight putter faces... They spend more on R&D in ten minutes than this brand has spent on everything since Day 1.
This kind of thing is hilarious. Putting skill is about feel, combined with body and mind control. The putter needs to feel right for you. But that changes many times for most of us. I know very good golfers who have ten or more putters and switch occasionally. The pros do it as well. So, when selling a putter, you have to make up a bunch of bullshit to make YOUR product stand out. But with THIS PUTTER, you will never three putt again!
