A Woody Guthrie song I have never heard. A real treat. Not that there aren't hundreds of his songs that I haven't heard. Good job. I will check out your other stuff.
Thank you so much! I hope you'll like the rest! Concerning Woody Guthrie, it is amazing the number of songs he wrote. And not a single one has fallen out, it's crazy. Tear the Fascists Down, sadly, still makes sense today...
A lot of covers are sanitized to avoid talking about the USSR. I find that unbelievably disrespectful to the original artist and to the 27 million Soviets who died while fighting to liberate the East. I appreciate it when I hear a cover like this one that stays faithful to the original.
Woody and his comrades (Cisco, Sonny, Leadbelly, Pete etc.) were crucial in getting the Yanks to realize that Europe was worth fighting for. They were a bit late, but we Brits are grateful. Well done to these young musicians. Scottish Phil
@@prokopfolkmusic exactly Woody fought the American establishment from the cradle to the grave. It's just who he was. That's part of the appeal edit: also really good job here, you've done him justice here
I might try to find the time to do it buddy but I'll begin by telling you quickly: it's a classic combination of C F C G C, the only thing is that sometimes you stay longer thab usual on the C. It's quite easy, I'm sure you'll figure it out!
so beautiful and just as necessary now as it ever was. beautiful playing :)
Thank you so much!
And I couldn't agree more: it is as necessary now as it ever was.

Way to tear tjose fascists down! Love from Canada ✊🏽🇨🇦
Do you have tab for the guitar part
Not really but it is extremely simple: C F C G C F C C C G C
It’s “I could see the people in this great country of ours, our union will test the fascists down” it’s referring to America
I'm pretty sure that it depends on the version, and anyway, I think that Woody Guthrie wouldn't mind that sort of change. Folksongs have to live...

@@georgeavery5965 Thank's, glad you agree!
Could you post a lesson to the guitar part? Or maybe at least just a guitar playthrough?
