I'm really happy Anders was open to giving his own general analysis/strategy on his games. I know players generally want to avoid getting too involved in their gameplay since they are still constantly playing against the same or newer players on the tour. Great episode!
About the crowd and chants, a couple of the "older" youth players at my local club outside Odense actually just asked me post DO if i could help them develop a "songbook" with chants for DO next year, and asked if they are allowed to bring in a drum. So maybe you will hear something other than "let's go Denmark, Let's go" I was the dude shouting loud for An S.Y in the final, and holy moly the looks i got from other adults in the stands was ridicules. Some of the kids made signs to support her, and asked for my help to make some noise. I even got laughed at by other parents at the teammatches this week. Good thing i don't mind.
Congratulations Anders 🎉 and what a performance at the Denmark Open! Always great to listen to Hans-Kristian and Anders. Even if you're inconsistent please never stop the podcast.
Congratulations for this outstanding result. Denmark Open is also confirmation of Alex Lanier's talent. He defeated NG, Axelsen, and LKY at just 19 years old. He is now the youngest European player to reach the world top 15. Anders achieved this at 20 years and 1 month, and Viktor at 20 years and 3 months. What an accomplishment. And this is just the beginning; other young French players are dominating European badminton in the U19, U17, and U15 categories and will soon enhance senior-level results
I had a good laugh about that one kid cheering on every Denmark open edition and completely understand because there was one moment during some match when I heard a kid cheering for Denmark and I was like holly shit, it's the same kid that was cheering the game in 2014 when Fu Haifeng and Zhang Nan played there. Since that moment I spent good ten minutes trying to figure out how that would be possible. Either the kid is Peter Pan, or kid in 2014 was so good at cheering, that somebody made an LP with him and keeps playing it till this day. That's the best I can do about mysterious kid theory.
Hey Anders, I’ve become a passionate badminton nerd over the last years and edit and cut videos in my job. I want to dive deeper into it for a while now so if you are still looking for somebody feel free to respond 🤗🙏🏻
Hey Anders, planning on sending you an email regarding cinematography for any of your videos or editing! I’ve worked as a creative editor for a worldwide ad agency and worked freelance as a cinematographer for 10 years now, from Denmark - lived in LA and currently in Japan :) Love the podcast and your content followed it for a couple years now since I started playing badminton ⭐️ (This is my old RUclips channel from when I used to do call of duty videos 😂)
Now that HK Vittinghus has become Denmark's team singles coach, will there still be new episodes in this channel? Or Antonsen will only be posting new videos on his own channel?
Ya - the tour has far too many tournaments at this point - consequentially we’re seeing some super 300s look more lioe super 100s. The BWF seems to be fine with this - like during the All England they held the orleans masrers the same week so effectively none of the top players competed. Strange to me bc it means super 300 points being rewarded for a tournament that will have almost no players from the top 32. Maybe its good for those players to get the opportunity? But idk. Feels like the overscheduling may contribute to how abundant injury issues seem to be nowadays.
What’s your favorite / most surprising Denmark Open moment?🫣🏆
Favourite was Anders winning, but most surprising was probably Viktor 😭😭
Li shifeng threw the shuttle. And getting a yellow card for delaying serves.
The match point against Li-Shi-Feng : a marvelous deceptive shot.
mixed doubles of two Chinese pairs

He did not defeat Axelsen, he withdrew due to illness. Big difference
He is very impressive. Will be interesting to follow him in the years to come!

Who’s waiting for Anders’ new video after his recent China Masters victory? 🙋♂️🙋♀️🙋

Hvorfor er i ikke på spotify længere?
Det gjorde det meget nemmere for mig at lytte til jeres podcast 😊

Just marry ASY and get a wedding video. Its about time.
