After GTS had come out, the online lobby community on GT6 was still far more vibrant than GTS’ so Polyphony shut down the servers, to try and push these players onto the next game. This didn’t really help anyone and has undoubtedly severed the community, it’s really sad to look back on my friends list and see so many players who have been inactive for so long

You maybe could start counting too, so you will find out that this list doesn't contain 1200 cars. Also Polyphony is a japanese development studio, so maybe its simply natural, there are nearly all japanese cars in the game, isn't it?

Does the fact that the games are japanese mean that you have to include 73 versions of the same car, if it's japanese? No. I understand why they did so, but no.
Disappointed that there is no new vanquish, super sport, f12, veneno, quattroporte, ghibli, mc12, p1, laferrari, diff. zondas, newer spykers, barely any f1s, konigseggs, venom, porsches, gumpert apollo, ariel atom, or a lot of amgs. (hopefully some will be in dlc)

Yea for real, i have gt7. But it will not compare to this, i’m already bored of the cars. Within a month i was. No rs6, no m5, no 1 series, no old c63. No cars i like tbh boring gt sport cars
I wonder what they will do with Gran Turismo 7? Because they won't be able to redo all of these vehicles for the PS4 very easily or quickly, so you know a lot of vehicles would disappear, but if they just port them over and increase the polygon count, that isn't really next gen. I am satisfied with Turn10's decision in redoing all of the cars for Forza 5. They put a ton of detail into them and it makes it worth the smaller amount of cars. Same goes for the tracks.

Looking good! It's nice to see that we have Chromeline and Stealth cars in there (without the need of purchasing a DLC) as well as some of the cars we found in GT4, which went missing in GT5. I have never regretted per-ordering this game!
Looking back at the sheer number of cars that were in GT6, I’m really starting to miss it when comparing it to GT Sport. For me, I didn’t mind the fact that most of the cars had ‘standard’ interiors. I prefer to have a much wider choice of cars to drive rather than a super realistic interior. Sure, they’re nice to have, but if I could choose more cars or all ‘premium’ interiors - I’d choose more cars all day long. I hope they go back to having hundreds of cars in the next game.
Yea the crazy amount of cars was the signature of Gran Turismo. I hope there will be a lot of cars in the next game. It's supposed to bring back the old Gran Turismo style apparently so there are chances to be a looooot of cars once again :)
Yes, I agree. I don't care if they don't have detailed interiors, I only care if I can actually drive them. I also choose more cars overall than more detailed ones. The car sounds aren't great, but you have to understand that the 7th Gen PS3 Sound Chip couldn't handle realistic car sounds for over 1200 cars. Great game overall.

The chevy's are amazing, the dodge's are okay, and the srt's are just down right flawless.! Except for those, all the cars look the exact same as before.
At 8:19, I started looking at Honda. And I noted at least 10 Civics, 5 Preludes, 5 Integras, 15 S2000s, and 12 NSXs before we even got into honest-to-God race cars at 8:56. I noticed that several manufacturers in this game are guilty of this, but Honda seems to be about the worst(to me). So, would anyone really bitch if we had, say, 3 Civics, 2 Preludes, 2 Integras, 4 S2000s, and 3 NSXs, and then the famous race models? And then rather than having 1200 cars that are 60% repeated filler, we could maybe tone it down to 500, and limit the extraneous crap? Anyone else feel the same way?
Completely agree. 1200 cars, and 900 of 'em are japanese, the other 300 are shared by the rest of the world. This is pissing me off. But as long as my Buick GNX is in there, I can only complain about the sounds :)
I would have liked to see an Oldsmobile Toronado other than the Jay Leno version, simply because it's a great FF muscle car example, and Jay Leno generally pisses me off. But I could certainly do without the endless variations of the same 10 Japanese models.
Exactly. Olds has enough different cars that you could make them a 6- or 8-car dealership. And then at least you're putting in some more variety, instead of additional Civics, NSXs, Skylines, etc. I'd like to see some additional dealerships/tuning outfits(Hennessey, for one) included in a DLC, and some kind of advanced search feature for cars(to sort by manufacture origin, drivetrain layout, year, PP, etc.), so that you don't necessarily have to wade through all the chaff when you're trying to find a new set of wheels.
For instance with the Ruf models, every model is 3d. 3d lights and windows, trim peices exhaust, no jaggies anywhere at all, they are basically premiums without interiors(for now) and the yellowbird looks so beautiful up close!

Seems like there are a lot more dealership / premium cars this time around. So happy to see they have a lot more jags and ontop of that they have not only the XJ220, but the LM racer one as well.
Actually, standards have been upgraded significantly, especially the 97 Z28 camaro for example, it has a new 3d mesh body, 3d head and tail lights, windows, 3d high poly trim, wheels and brakes, and high detailed badges. that's just one of them.

Kazunori Yamauchi wanted to bring Porsche into the series for alot of years now, they and Sony sponsored Porsche ALOT in motorsports, in '99 Sony sponsored a Porsche 911 GT1, look at the N24 how much Porsches did you see carrying the GT banner? It's bound that GT6 will have an expensive Porsche DLC like Forza did...

I love Gran Turismo but something that always annoyed me was the complete lack of some of the most famous cars in favour of more versions of the same line of cars for example they gave maserati only 1 car leaving out cars like the MC12 and the ghibli but say you wanted a Nissan skyline instead? well that's no problem because we got 9000000 freaking versions of it

100 different versions of Miata's, civic's and several European cars I would never know about if it weren't for Gran Turismo but.. where are the foxbody Mustangs? Where are the older bodystyle of mustangs (other than the 71 mach1 which I do like!)... a 68' bullitt would be sweet! How about a 99-04 saleen!? Sure I'm talking mustangs but as a Mustang fan.... why do we get 2 s197 "GT's" of the same bodystyle yet not get anything else!? I definitely hope they add some major dlc content! I know I'm speaking as a mustang fan but I know there are other car enthusiasts wondering why a few other cars aren't in the game already from the get go.
A lot of glaring missing cars. Other than a few additions a carbon copy of gt5. No Ferrari f1 cars. No Laferrari. No FF. No Hennesey Venom. No 918 Porche. Hopefully, there will be some nice additions in upcoming DLC's.
Aye, just got Gran Turismo 6 and apparently I grinded on the game harder than Forza Motorsport 7. That says a lot considering this game was made in 2013 and Forza Motorsport is in 2018.

Also, there were some cars added to the official car list yesterday that aren't in this update version (Remember, the game will receive a HUGE update when the game goes live on Friday), including the Honda/Acura NSX Concept (counted as separate cars), the new M-B AMG Vision Gran Turismo, and, last but certainly not least, THE DELTAWING IS BACK, BITCHES!!!!!! Remember future commentors, Kazunori Yamauchi and PD are working on bringing in Porsche. Think: why are there Porsches in the N24 and VLN that carry the "GranTurismo" banner? Most cars that carried the banners were remade here in GT6. Don't be surprised that an expensive Porsche DLC , much like Forza's would appear in the slightly distant future!

Because they won't be able to redo all of these vehicles for the PS4 very easily or quickly, so you know a lot of vehicles would disappear, but if they just port them over and increase the polygon count, that isn't really next gen. I am satisfied with Turn10's decision in redoing all of the cars for Forza 5. They put a ton of detail into them and it makes it worth the smaller amount of cars. Same goes for the tracks.

Looking good! It's nice to see that we have Chromeline and Stealth cars in there (without the need of purchasing a DLC) as well as some of the cars we found in GT4, which went missing in GT5. I have never regretted per-ordering this game!
Looking back at the sheer number of cars that were in GT6, I’m really starting to miss it when comparing it to GT Sport. For me, I didn’t mind the fact that most of the cars had ‘standard’ interiors. I prefer to have a much wider choice of cars to drive rather than a super realistic interior. Sure, they’re nice to have, but if I could choose more cars or all ‘premium’ interiors - I’d choose more cars all day long. I hope they go back to having hundreds of cars in the next game.
Yea the crazy amount of cars was the signature of Gran Turismo. I hope there will be a lot of cars in the next game. It's supposed to bring back the old Gran Turismo style apparently so there are chances to be a looooot of cars once again :)
Yes, I agree. I don't care if they don't have detailed interiors, I only care if I can actually drive them. I also choose more cars overall than more detailed ones. The car sounds aren't great, but you have to understand that the 7th Gen PS3 Sound Chip couldn't handle realistic car sounds for over 1200 cars. Great game overall.

The chevy's are amazing, the dodge's are okay, and the srt's are just down right flawless.! Except for those, all the cars look the exact same as before.
At 8:19, I started looking at Honda. And I noted at least 10 Civics, 5 Preludes, 5 Integras, 15 S2000s, and 12 NSXs before we even got into honest-to-God race cars at 8:56. I noticed that several manufacturers in this game are guilty of this, but Honda seems to be about the worst(to me). So, would anyone really bitch if we had, say, 3 Civics, 2 Preludes, 2 Integras, 4 S2000s, and 3 NSXs, and then the famous race models? And then rather than having 1200 cars that are 60% repeated filler, we could maybe tone it down to 500, and limit the extraneous crap?

Completely agree. 1200 cars, and 900 of 'em are japanese, the other 300 are shared by the rest of the world. This is pissing me off. But as long as my Buick GNX is in there, I can only complain about the sounds :)
I would have liked to see an Oldsmobile Toronado other than the Jay Leno version, simply because it's a great FF muscle car example, and Jay Leno generally pisses me off. But I could certainly do without the endless variations of the same 10 Japanese models.

Exactly. Olds has enough different cars that you could make them a 6- or 8-car dealership. And then at least you're putting in some more variety, instead of additional Civics, NSXs, Skylines, etc.
I'd like to see some additional dealerships/tuning outfits(Hennessey, for one) included in a DLC, and some kind of advanced search feature for cars(to sort by manufacture origin, drivetrain layout, year, PP, etc.), so that you don't necessarily have to wade through all the chaff when you're trying to find a new set of wheels.

For instance with the Ruf models, every model is 3d. 3d lights and windows, trim peices exhaust, no jaggies anywhere at all, they are basically premiums without interiors(for now) and the yellowbird looks so beautiful up close!

Actually, standards have been upgraded significantly, especially the 97 Z28 camaro for example, it has a new 3d mesh body, 3d head and tail lights, windows, 3d high poly trim, wheels and brakes, and high detailed badges. that's just one of them.

I know GT6 isnt a revolutionary game, basically its a huge DLC with alot of cars from GT4 still there. But still cant wait to play it! Its not all about graphics and latest high tech cars on the market. GT have cars which not other game have.

Aye, just got Gran Turismo 6 and apparently I grinded on the game harder than Forza Motorsport 7. That says a lot considering this game was made in 2013 and Forza Motorsport is in 2018.

You do know there are 78 cars that are on the car list that are not in the dealerships that are more than likely prize cars, right? Also, there were some cars added to the official car list yesterday that aren't in this update version (Remember, the game will receive a HUGE update when the game goes live on Friday), including the Honda/Acura NSX Concept (counted as separate cars), the new M-B AMG Vision Gran Turismo, and, last but certainly not least, THE DELTAWING IS BACK, BITCHES!!!!!! Remember future commentors, Kazunori Yamauchi and PD are working on bringing in Porsche. Think: why are there Porsches in the N24 and VLN that carry the "GranTurismo" banner? Most cars that carried the banners were remade here in GT6. Don't be surprised that an expensive Porsche DLC , much like Forza's would appear in the slightly distant future!

Amazing game but GT5 the Comunity section was bigger it was my favorite Granturismo 5 becouse of all function in the comunity like you can send a Turbocharger or parts and Cars to a Friend it was so nice. And now they shoting down complet Servers for GT5 and the last for PS3 GT6 sutch a shame realy for game ho has taken years to come out and prduction time.

Is there any fast Russian or Chinese cars? Ones that would win races? Not to my knowledge. Also, they don't just 'look it up on Google' and decide to make the car and put it in the game. They actually go out and scan the cars and make them that way. If it's not worth it (like Chinese or Russian cars), why would they waste time finding them and scanning them.
