    BTW for the twist braid! When I had long hair, Id twist it until near the bottom of my hair, and then split the two ropes into three and braid it like normal. It gives the sams result and stays all night/day.

  • @MsGrapeNehi
    @MsGrapeNehi 2 года назад +33

    I’ve been using the third method for a while, both with short and long hair, and it’s amazing! I’ve found that you get even better results if you twist each side closer to your middle part, like you’re doing Dutch braids. If you do them further apart, you get sections that don’t get curled, like on the crown of your head.

    For the fourth, you have to brush it out. Those types of curlers are going to need to be arranged a certain way to get an even, desired curl. I use to do it for 50s style hair curls because it gives more volume and pulls the hair up more for a short effect.

    For the third hair style, to avoid it untwisting just put it in a bun, it is a little bit uncomfortable to sleep it with it but it’s chill. The way I do it is to get the hair with the opposite hand (so if you want to put the left side in a bun you’re gonna use the right hand) and guide it to the back of my head and put it in a bun.

My hair never holds a curl without it, and it's made so you can brush it out into vintage waves, so if you do modern curls you don't have to worry about them dropping when you brush them out. I can't remember what brand I use, but I know vintage vloggers like Rachel Maksy talk about it on their channels.

    Wait I wear my Dutch braids for about 6 or 7 hours in a day, and it leaves my hair so wavy- that’s weird, bc it looks like we have very similar hair types. Also the last method, the curling rods, I use them pretty often, but I always put it into a low or mid ponytail so you can see the curls, but not the weird reverse curls :)

    okay, I think that if you did the first one again but spray your hair with water like damp it then wrap your hair and leave it in for 15/20 mins it would totally look better

    May I ask what lights you are using for your room? Sometimes it's pink and sometimes it's a really good looking blue or purple (not sure). This was a interesting video about curling hair though, I'm still trying to figure out what works best for my kinky curly hair before I do any experiments with it.

    The 4th one with the rods looks uneven at the beginning, but you have to let it dry completely before taking the rods out and after you take them out and they are fully dried you need to separate them and let them sit for about 10 minutes so you won't have that really shrieked curl anymore. Takes time but honestly, you put them in really good and even, these take a lot more time than the other ones but from time to time it's worth to use them I guess

    I think the heat of your scalp would be a good factor in forming the heatless curls/waves.

    :0 I have short hair and I’ve tried to curl my hair overnight because even tho I have straight, hair, I have a lot of it ;w;
    So I tried the method where you use the bathrobe thing(?) (but with dampening my hair) right now and GOD BLESS THE GODS-
    It actually looks like 2 buns :DD
    Sorry for overreacting but I’ll update the results :3

    I think if you had left the dutch braids in even longer, like all day and then overnight, and maybe had the sections a bit smaller and tighter, they definitely would have given you the best and tightest curls, it's one method I use often, but the only problem is I can't STAND the line in the back of my head (like the parting) and also, if you do them more towards your face, you won't have to have your arms up the whole time making you tired, I don't know how to explain it, but I'm sure there's a youtube video showing dutch braids without having to hold your arms up behind your head. =)

    ‘You should look up a titorial’ honey ive googled “method three” all day... lmao unfindable
    Update: i figured it out. If you have longer hair you might want to pin them up instead of leaving them hanging, vecause jesus christ did my neck hurt after sleeping on these braids. Since they got pretty hard and stiff because of the double turning.
