I was so happy to see you Lara I did this as an add on. This workout instructor I finished isn't a fan of crunches either. My favorite move was the marches on the back. It seems to take the pressure of my back being on the mat. One of these days the doctor will get my custom made arch supports and you are wonderful about replying to your comments in a timely fashion.
Thank you for another lovely workout. Hope you are doing well. I still do your workouts every day even if I don't comment on each separately. The community is still going strong
Thank you Lara! I love this workout for abs and yes I’d love to see more! Personally I don’t like crunches so this workout was excellent. Also I love your positive outlook, it’s so refreshing! 😊🏋️♀️
Thank you Stacey :) I really don't like crunches, they are not very effective and our spines can only tolerate so much crunching! There are so many other ways to build strong core muscles.
Hi Lara, thanks for another great workout! I taught SilverSneakers exercise classes to older adults for 10 years and now work in a nursing home. Doing exercises that prepare us for activities of daily living are so important. They make life easier and help prevent falls. Falls are a big problem among older adults and I see them happen a lot at work. It breaks my heart. I know I’m preaching to the choir. Thanks for making those muscles, that we need to get us through the day, nice and strong.
You are very welcome! You work in such an important environment. From what I understand, working in a nursing home can be challenging and emotionally draining. Thank you for taking such good care of our elders at a vulnerable time in their lives. I will definitely keep posting workouts to promote strong, functional muscles!!
Hi Lara just popping in to say hello. I finally got my custom made arch supports and am supposed to wear them all day long. I bought a garden bench to pull my weeds. I have been doing Pilates with the Magic Ring because I love being barefoot.
Yeah!! I am so happy for you that your custom arch supports came in! Are they helpful? Keep up your great motivation with your fitness goals and I'll be back posting in just a few weeks:)
Either forearms or making fists would be excellent modifications...I find dropping down to my forearms actually makes the plank more challenging, so I switch which modification I use depending on how strong I feel that day! You can also do an incline plank where your hands are up on a bench or sturdy chair. That takes some weight and pressure off the hands. I hope these suggestion are helpful!
Hi Lara wanted to pop in and wish you a Happy Mother's day to you catmom and human mom and let you know Friday I am feeling going to the Podiatrist to get my arch supports.

I don't care that these are exercises for women. I like them because they are intelligently designed by you. Thank you very much, Lara :)🙂
What a lovely comment...thank you! You have lifted my spirits today :)
@@gosimpli Thank you. My pleasure :)

Another quick and effective ab workout! Thanks for this! i enjoy your helpful commentary as well.
You're so welcome!
Awesome class! Crunches hurt my back no matter how strict my form is so I would LOVE some more workouts that incorporare the abs without them.
Great idea...I will definitely do more no crunches ab workouts.

@@gosimpli glad you will be back in a few weeks yes they are helpful I just don't like workouts with shoes.
How about a half kneeling side bend with the option of holding an overhead press. That is a great core exercise.
That's an excellent suggestion! I'll try to incorporate it into an upcoming video:)
Lara, for those of us with basal thumb arthritis, would it be better to do the plank-like moves on forearms or on fists?

Love the workouts hope you post a new kickboxing workout soon and bust some balls with punches and kicks.
Thanks! I'll be posting again in June :)
