Hi there, I'm currently sidelined from my regular standing dumbbells workouts due to a leg injury; and I came across your site while searching for some seated dumbbell workouts. I loved this! It was a fantastic upper body workout, with that little extra core thrown in for good measure! I'm hoping you have some seated core and seated cardio workouts....I'm going for a look now!

Thank you for another great workout! I love the term, "hourglass" for the "bus driver" exercise.

Hi Lara I wasn't going to workout today as we were going for haircuts but hubby went to a meeting and I miss you. I like the 50/10 format and the different exercises. The scissors I went to 3 lbs the second time through. I like the term bus driver.

I love getting my hair cut...for some reason it makes me feel fabulous! It's really smart that you use different weights when necessary, listening to your body is the best way to have success in your fitness journey.

This one is definitely the most challenging because of the 10-second break between exercises. I would probably prefer at least 20 seconds. The scissors were the most challenging and I couldn't get through them twice. The best part for me is that the exercises didn't include bending over. Honestly, I rarely do those. The next time I do this one, I will probably add an additional 10 seconds. Let's see how I feel tomorrow morning when I wake up. lol! I'm already feeling positive results. Thank you for creating this new one.

I'm so glad you enjoyed this workout! I'll try to create another workout either in Tabata format or with longer rest breaks and be sure to keep all of the exercises fully upright with no bending over :)

Hi Lara. I couldn’t believe how fast the time went. This was great. I had planned to exercise during my recovery from foot surgery but it felt like too much. I’m just starting to do more than physical therapy exercises and it feels good. It has been almost 4 months since surgery and I’m still in the recovery process but I’m making progress. I appreciate your company while I do some joyful movement.

I am so happy to hear that you are feeling ready to add some exercise to your recovery at this point! It is good to listen to your body and make decisions about when to add movement as you feel ready :) Making progress feels good and remember that no matter how slow progress is, it's still forward momentum. Well done!

I love this new workout, anything that doesn't involve bending or leaning is always a winner for me but this has most of my favourite moves. I love doing curls, punches and the overhead triceps. The halo is my absolute favourite, I can feel the stress leaving my neck when I do that, it's such a good feeling. The pass over was really good too. You made the overhead scissors look way easier than it turned out to be for me! I'll keep working on it though! In the UK we used to call an hour glass an egg timer but personally I call the bus driver/hour glass the move from hell!! It is sooo hard! I think it's going to be a while before I consider it anything else but I don't chicken out, I just mutter and mumble a lot when I know it's coming up. Thank you so much for posting another fantastic workout, my muscles are toning up beautifully and I always feel so good, and proud of myself, when I finish my routines....... oh, and isn't it a real disappointment when the anticipation doesn't live up to the reality?? At least you can now say you've tasted Key Lime Pie, even if you'll never do it again!! xxx

You are so very right! I'm not sure I'll go for Key Lime pie again but I will definitely be getting chocolate pie again!!! It's great that you preserve and do the bus driver/hourglass move anyway...challenging ourselves is how we continue to make progress! Well done :)

Welcome back Lara I have missed you. I am glad the kitties are enjoying sunbathing. What are you doing for your rest days? I am following a trainer on You Tube that just came back from maternity leave tomorrow's is 45 minute legs and today's was arms and core. I love your tips. I told my husband I love you videos just wish you had music so he started singing to me 😆 I only watched but love how creative your moves are.

I really like doing seated workouts. How is the weather in Florida? I'll be heading there with my family the second week of March!!

A very good, if humbling, workout! The first time I attempted it, I used my usual 8s but bailed at the third move (the overhead scissors) and retreated to one of your other workouts. Today I tried again with 5s and 8s; did the first round with both, dropped down to 5s only for the second round. I will be sore tomorrow! I liked the 50/10 format -- not enough time for dread to build up between moves. Looking forward to progressing with this one.

It's great that you are using a variety of different weights fir different exercises. Having a workout that you can progress with over time can be very motivating, and keeps us from feeling stagnant. I also like the 50/10 format...the workout seems to go by faster!!!

I wanted to say again that this is a great workout. I appreciate not bending over, although I know those exercises are good for us too. I hope you're okay and that you're able to do more workouts for us soon.

Nice workout, I prefer tabata but this 50/10 timing is also great. I am still getting used to your new set up and colours. It has been raining here so no sunbathing for us. Hope your drive to Florida wasn't too bad. Did you have proper key lime pie?

    • @gosimpli
      @gosimpli  2 года назад +2

Hi Tina! Yes! I had Key Lime pie 🥧 and you know what...I don't like it at all!! I think it was the texture mixed with a milky base. I thought it would be more like a pudding consistency but it was more solid. I did however also try a chocolate 🍫 pie and that was so delicious!!!

Oh...and the drive to and from Florida went well but it was SO LONG! I have never been so excited to get out of a car 😆

It's a shame about the key lime pie, but people enjoy different things 🙂 I bet it was nice being back home after a long journey 🙂
