    I bought / installed the same Kolpin 48-60 universal plow on my ATV 2011 Arctic Cat 550 TRV (2-Up). Instructions stated 45-60 minutes to assemble the blade. I started at 8:30 AM, had 1.5 hour lunch and completed at 2:30 PM. Yes. That long - with a large cup of coffee and my reading glasses. Retired people with bad knees/hips take longer time. smiles. For my ATV's under belly, I used 4 x U-Bolts and 2x2 hard wood spacer. And I cut off the tips of extra long U-Bolt threads as well. During its install I did add a few more flat washers and greased its swivel points. All installed "as it should" and very happy with its looks, with its ease of angle change and with its safety tilt ability. It's worth buying "on sale". Recommend this adjustable plow...

      Thank you very much for sharing! I do remember it being longer than expected for us as well. Overall great blade! Thanks for stopping by!

    Thank you very much. I am a caretaker of a church campground. Trying to save some money, so I’m going to put a plow on my quad. Thank you for helping me make the decision.

      For me (and a few of my snow plowing friends), we use a snow plow to push the snow to the sides of the driveway. When the driveway gets too skinny, we take a snow blower and "lift and blow" the snow on the edges further away. Then, use the snow plow the next few snow dumps. Yes. We sometimes need to use a blower but its only on the sides of the skinny driveways. And, it takes much less time (than doing 100% of laneway with a blower). Hope this tip helps as well...

      We love it too!! Now we just have to get another ATV so we can use it LOL - We sold ours to get another but are having a tough time finding the one we want right now!

    Hope this is a bit of wisdom: if you don’t push the snow (from the start of winter) as far as you possibly can, you’ll end up running into that first snow again. Whether I use the quad & blade or shovel by hand, all snow gets pushed or thrown as far as possible. We build a skating rink on our lake and the same principle applies as I don’t want the rink to shrink in size. And God bless you guys too!!

      @MiAnUAcres  3 года назад +2

      Yes, we discovered that LOL Thank you! We have since learned! I will say that the road had big ditches on both sides so we pushed it back as much as our little machine could but as bad as our winters get here we push waaaay back now LOL God Bless!

    Love the video. I have the same plow and I really like it. I have the same issue with thru the winter the driveway getting narrow. After every plow session I take my snowblower and just take one pass down each side of the driveway. Ready to go for the next snow fall. Doesn’t take long at all. Keep up the videos. They are awesome

    Just picked one up at Canadian Tire. They have two models, 4 - 5 foot for atvs and a 5 - 6 foot model for side x sides. Also picked up a thumb warmer. Super cold weather requires a thumb warmer.

    From the first snow to the last its smart to push the snow as far as you can from your drive way, even when using a truck with a plow

    • @MiAnUAcres
      @MiAnUAcres  2 года назад +1

      YES!! We did do that on the property but the road was a different story. Our little machine couldnt put it any further bc of the ditch We also learned a lot that year LOL

    Good video, thanks. Looking for a blade too. I have a Yamaha snowblower that can do about 90% of my driveway but a blade would be nice up by the road, where the road crews push rocks, branches and who knows what into the driveway when they go by. Looking at the KFI plows.

      We really enjoy this plow! We sold our ATV but kept the plow. We are using a backhoe for the snow BUT the plow got WAY closer to the ground so I cant wait to find another ATV LOL

    For about 30 m of entry+ parking, our tractor guy charge us 600$CAD. But it does need a blower to keep it large enough I would think. So good for you if it work well!

    Thanks for the info guys. I am a fellow Canuck, so quite familiar with Can Tire. It is one of my fav stores! lol. I have been looking at plows for my Arctic Cat 400 quad, and I think i`ll go with this one after seeing yours, and other positive reviews. The fact you are not sponsored by them, makes your review the most real. I think i`ll go pick it up at Can Tire today :) They have 2 in stock at my local store. I have a 300 foot long gravel driveway, so hoping it holds up. Good luck with the channel. New sub.

    Like the child as,for the plowing it will not go up a hill worthy of its name, consequently I have no use for them.

    • @MiAnUAcres
      @MiAnUAcres  2 года назад +1

      Add some chains to the tires and you have a different story. We had quite the hill in that driveway and it was slick at times, but always made it back up...somehow, not sure how most times to be honest LOL
