    Superhuman looks great and the functionalities seem to be interesting but 30$ per month is way too much

    • @theholeminute
      @theholeminute 2 года назад +5

      Probably more like 6 bucks a month.
      So if they get 1/5th the number of customers for 30 bucks, they'll just be able to do better customer service and have easier clients.

    I pay less per month for my daughters Creative Cloud subscription. I don’t care how good of an email client is. That’s a ridiculous monthly sub price.

    Maybe I'm missing something here, but 4 minutes in and everything you've highlighted can be done in Gmail but with a more intuitive interface and better automation. From Superhuman's website it looked more magical, like AI would automatically take care of a lot of this stuff for you, like summarizing emails, automatically scheduling meetings against your available time slots etc.

    I do work for serval businesses and Superhuman is nice to use on the desktop when these orgs use g-suite; however, my desktop app of choice is, without a doubt, MailMate. I am not a fan of Superhuman on mobile, so I end up using Preside Email on my iPhone. Still searching for the best cross-device solution…

    Tried before. It really is as good as they describe. I’d be happy to pay the subscription fee as I get more more than enough bang for my buck.
    Dealbreaker for me is that they currently only support gmail. Since my company uses O365, I unfortunately do not have the choice to change my email provider and therefore need to sit out on the SH benefits until they can handle O365.

    • @sarahkottke676

    • @jacorademeyer7172
      @jacorademeyer7172 2 года назад

      @@toolfinderhq yes, they also told me that it is on the way.
      I tried out SH long enough on my gmail account to know that I would be happy to switch as soon as O365 support is available.
      I have also tested probably every email client available for Mac, and I have unfortunately had to settle for one that has the least dealbreakers for me. The one month test of SH didn’t show any elements that I would consider as dealbreakers.

    I've used almost every mac email client available and still haven't found the perfect solution. The closest I have found for my needs currently is EM Client and I hear they have an ios app coming soon. I love the fact the UI is customisable with a bit of CSS knowledge. Newton was great but I had regular issues and the support is abysmal so I stopped paying them £45 a year. Mac Mail doesn't have the advanced features that all the other email apps have these days like snooze, send later, reminders, etc. Are Superhuman still charging $30 a month? I know its a premium service but $30 a month is too much.

      @a I am now using Spark and apart from threaded/conversation view (which I'm not a fan of personally), I am really impressed with it. Very stable and I can file emails away to folders quickly.

    • @phil_hallam
      @phil_hallam Год назад +1

      @@les_invisibles My comment was before V3 was released but I have been using V3 since launch and personally I really like it. Sure, there are things to improve on but they seem to be regularly updating it (which is what you would expect from a yearly subscription). My favourite feature is the "Block Sender" option so emails never appear in my inbox again. This has significantly reduced the amount of spam email I receive. Several other email apps have tried this but I prefer the way Spark Desktop have implemented it.

    • @les_invisibles
      @les_invisibles Год назад +1

      @@phil_hallam Maybe I didn’t give it enough time, but I’m pretty bitter I guess. I loved it the way it was and they’d always preached that they were getting their money from selling the teams features. So to completely redesign everything and then right away ask you to pay for it, definitely left a bad taste for me. Maybe I’ll give it another shot at some point. Some things just seem like such glaring oversights, like it was about 75% done before they decided to release it. Anyway, that’s encouraging to hear it’s working for someone.

    I know that this is kinda good, and heard about that from a couple of my colleagues, but 30$ a month! Not sure if that's really worth it. I suppose would be better if they give the customer at least a 1-month trial to understand how bad they actually need it. For now, that looks like a fancy mail client for "elite people" who don't care about paying 30$ a month for the features available in alternative free mail clients, ok, perhaps, not so fancy and fresh. If the product really has a bunch of killer features that really make your daily routine easier and faster - they would definitely give you an opportunity to try it. For now, looks like I will just pay, and play for a month, understanding that there is nothing special excluding UI, and then come back to Outlook or a similar free app.
    The modern world taught me not to pay for anything before trying that.
