  • We did a AT2 in a 35x12.5x20 on the passenger side and a Nitto Trail Grappler on the the drivers side in a 35x12.5x20. This was done on the Factory OEM TRD wheels. We did run a 3mm wheel spacer on the front to clear from rubbing the edge of the tire at full steering lock lightly on the front edge of the upper control arm. This has our Westcott Designs 3/1 preload collar lift that does not take away for the ride quality or any travel of the suspension. This is not your traditional space or lift. It will be on the web site mid next week and will start shipping in the next 2.5 weeks. Please follow and Subscribe we will doing some height measurements for ground clearance and for those guys that wish to park in the garage after she is sitting pretty. Thank you for watching!

    Awesome vid and truck looks sick with that 3" collar kit and 35" tires. I have a 2019 crewmax and used Westcotts 3" collar kit for 5100 adjustable bilsteins and put some 285/75R18's(34.8") Toyo Open Country AT3's on some TRD Pro wheels and have zero rub at full lock and truck sits pretty. Love the craftsmanship and quality of the collar lift. Also Jeff is the most helpful business owner ever! Installed the collar lift on a sunday w/ my buddy and had some questions and literally gave him a call and he answered while on his way to Church! This man cares about his customers and wants to make sure you install everything correctly. Absolutely amazing dude and he even gave me and my buddy a tour of his entire facility when we picked up our parts. Will definitely continue buying parts from Westcott Designs.

    • @Daniel-xp8km
      @Daniel-xp8km 4 месяца назад

      @@rileythorning4115 i love the look of the 35's on 18's but thats me and my truck sits exactly how i wanted it too. but i also went with a skinner tire in the 285's and not the 295's because i didnt want the tire to stick out to far and didnt want to have to worry about doing a BMC or anything like that. But the 35's give enough tire for the size of the rim. whats your concern? too much tire, not enough wheel? Again to me the look is perfect especially on the 2019 with how the truck already looks big and bulky. 37's with the 18" wheel would have been overkill for the look i was going for. The tundras need a bigger tire. those factory 33's make it look like its skipping leg day! LOL

I have been leaning towards 11.50s because of my 2023 tundra OEM wheels are only 7.5 inches wide. I figured the 12.50s would be way to wide for that wheel. • @westcottdesigns
      @westcottdesigns  2 года назад +12

      All the OEM wheels on the different models are are going to have the same offset so you will want run a 35x11.5x-8 so you don’t have any rubbing on the upper control arm at full steering lock. Then you won’t have to run and type of wheel spacer. If you want more room for articulation during off-roading but wanting to fill the wheel well and still keep a good look you can run a 295/70R18. Which is a 34.3” tire. Hope this helps.

    What’s the plan for the Pro’s? Do you have to wait until they’re released before you can make the collars or will you have them in advance of the truck being released?

      We should be getting a TRD PRO soon for final testing. 👍

    What is the max offset you can use with your kit? Was looking to run a 20" to 22" wheel with more of a lip and little stick out from the fender. Can you run a 22 by 10 inch wheel with your kit and what size tire would fit with that setup?

    how much spacer can you run safely before you would need adaptors? 3mm or 1/8th inch? I really want to see how this lift looks on a 6.5 bed with 18' TRD wheels!

  • @absolutelynot3065

    Needs fatter tires and smaller wheels. Would look beefier and not so much like guy who goes to the gym and skips leg day. Wheel offset is perfect though. Can’t stand wheels that stick out any farther than the fenders.

    Where does the push pin in the Trd pro lift kit go?

    • @westcottdesigns
      @westcottdesigns  2 года назад

      If you grab a hold of the carpet in the lower corner just behind the front tire and lift up on it and there is a hole behind it. If you press the carpet up against the hole and take a screw driver or pen and poke the hole through it. You can then use a push clip in through the carpet in the hole. This will make for more tire room.

    Any chance you'd offer a "visual" level lift vs. by measurement. Maybe something like a 2/1?

    This looks great! Thanks for the helpful info. Is this the TRD PRO, and which color is this? The reason I ask is that the TRD PRO on the Toyota website doesnt have the Toyota emblem on the grill, it has the word TOYOTA spelled out. So curious how this one has emblem and the TRD on the front grill. Love the overall look.

    Any thoughts on running 285/75/18s? The Falken Wildpeak is just under 35 but a tiny bit narrower than the 295/70. Maybe that would provide more room off-road?

      @@jakepowell8824 I ended up putting 285 75 18 wildpeaks with Fuel Vectors. It looks awesome. I did a 2" level and I really think it needs it. If I didn't have extra head room the tire for sure will hit when shock is compressed. The mud flaps and felt liner rubbed, but I just pinned them back with drywall anchors and a screw. turned out awesome

    I just bought a Platinum tonight. it has the rear bags on it. Just so happens the Toyota rep for our region was there the day before and said i could run up to a 4 inch lift and keep the bags. Have you guys did a lift on one with the rear bags? Also is your lift available for purchase now?

    Do you have any idea the total height of the truck this exact truck after the lift and tires from the ground to the highest point of the cab? I’d like to know if it fits through my garage door and maybe others could use this info as well.
    This is also the definition of a clean setup and install.
