    Hello my friend hope everything is going great with you, i’ve been following your channel for a minute and i have to say congratulations, is a great one! So my input is this one, i own a 2024 Toyota Tundra Limited TRD Off Road and i just put a set of 35x12.50R20 without any suspension upgrade (no lift) totally stock and no rubbing at all my friend not even at full slack on both directions, of course i have no intentions to do any dirty or muddy work in it, but so far for city bragging is perfect, these tires are Atturo Trail Blade M/T and looks amazing, totally changed!!!

    The only thing that deserves clarification is that almost all 295/70/R18 tires have a true overall diameter of 34.3" with very few exceptions, the yokahama geolander X-AT is a true 34.6" in that same sizing. So they are definitely taller than a 33 which are usually a true 32.8"

    If 35's fit with level lift on full wheel lock on any road surface dips, bumps, that's the way to go for the best appearance, not ifs, no and, no buts. I had brake caliper rubbing on the front with 18 inch wheels on the 19 trd sport Tundra, 17's would have been a rubbing nightmare.

    One thing to keep in mind is that any aftermarket suspension mod that adjusts the angle of the truck will effect some of the safety sense systems. If there is any mod done and a recall is required on one of those systems, the mod either needs to me removed to perform the recall or the owner will have to sign a waiver understanding the safety sense no longer works as designed and should be deactivated when driving.

    Thank you for sharing this. I had a 2021 Toyota Tundra SR5 and because of videos like yours and others, as well as doing extra research, I wanted this truck. Of course there have been a lot of pros and cons with a new vehicle but I said I had to see for myself so I traded my 2021 and bought yesterday a 2022 Toyota Tundra SR5 TRD OffRoad that was on the lot. I was thinking too about if I could lift it and what size tires to put on. What a coincidence I think I have the same exact truck as your buddy who put those 295 tires on. I was thinking of putting on 33s but I wonder if it would effect any of the sensors on it. Especially if I was thinking of putting on a 20 in wheel with 33s. Probably not. We’ll see. On the stock rims as Toyota said they would fit the are the nitro grappler tires and now my self and others in the forums are having rubbing issues on the front sway bar when making sharper turns. Toyota wants to put smaller tires on as a fix. After spending over 5000 and going
    With the size it says rt on the trd site I don't feel I should have to thought on what I can do. Also the only part they didn't change was the front sway bar. In 23 the trd was not an option for the platinum but I would like the trd sway bar bc it's red Toyota can't seem to find one which I don't understand I would think any trd replacement would fit any help with this would be great

      The rock warrior TRD wheels on the second gen tundra fit the what appear initially to be the same size front brakes. So 17s might be possible with just the right wheels. But the bolt pattern being different means the rock warrior wheels won't work. So... Good luck finding a match.
      I'd also like to keep my 34" tires from my 5th gen if possible, but might not work as they're also 17's. I like to have a quiet and smooth street set and an off-road set of wheels and tires. Then swap as needed.

    The spacers won't raise the differential clearance...how much will 35s raise the differential...it seems low stock?

    • @TRDJon
      @TRDJon  2 года назад

      35 will probably raise it close to 4” or so base on the stock tires

    • @rayh5382
      @rayh5382 2 года назад

      The stock tires are 32.6 so the difference is near 2.5 inches but only half that difference is the effective lift at 1.25 inches. Then the 2" front spacer gives you additional lift in the front for 3.25" in front and 1.25" at rear axle.

    Off the subject but anytime you raise the trucks you lose the fuel mileage and these things have had a horrible reputation for fuel mileage to begin with that's been my only hold back.
