Thanks to everyone for the support! Thank you all so much for the comments and the likes and sharing feedback, it really pays off for the time and effort I put into this mammoth-sized video! UPDATE: The new video is OUT NOW! Go check it out: ruclips.net/video/VhAMYWM1Zjc/видео.html
This was AWESOME!!! It's crazy how EXCITING and INTENSE a... thirty? year old turned base RPG can be... but your battle with in the Ice Cave was CRAZY!!! I was holding my breath!!! And (spoiler...!) your battle with Chaos... down to "who's going to land the FINAL hit FIRST...!?" That was EPIC!!! And your voice is just so charming - your really draw us in! I'm subscribed and I can't wait to join you on more adventures! Thank you so much for all of your hard work!!! You're BRILLIANT!
Hey, thanks so much! I'm really glad you enjoyed it and all of the video's twists and turns! There were definitely a few intense moments throughout and certainly some parts where I truly lost the entire basis of reality and went off course lol! But thanks for subscribing, I can't say I'll have another similar video out TOO soon, but rest assured I WILL be working on it and I'll see you there!
Wow! You actually read your comments are reply! Wow! (And GOOD...! Because I just wrote you a BOOK on another video! ; D ) Yah... I can't even imagine how much time it takes to not only PLAY and NARRATE the game, but then also EDIT it - and then you add title screens and notes - WOW! You're very talented! And Final Fantasy 1 is "short." Can you imagine tackling... SKYRIM!? Or Dragon Quest 12...!? (But... I hope you DO! I could listen to you all day - so charming! - and watching this video makes it feel like we're all right here with you, tackling the game together! Very cool!) You keep up the good work! We admire and appreciate you tons!
Was wondering about the oddness with accuracy you mentioned, but nearly all weapons add to accuracy, so until a monk catches up in level they probably will miss more than a weapon'd figther. As for armor, monks take penalties and nearly all (or all?) armor reduces evasion. Monks have high hp and can tank a few hits, but ultimately should not be getting hit at higher levels much. Still watching and loving it, especially you being honest about getting absolutely wrecked a lot.
Yeah, the challenge itself really was not much compared to editing the whole thing and even just talking the whole time. The challenge is mostly mental endurance and patience lol. Honestly even keeping the talking and conversation going by myself throughout the whole playthrough was driving me crazy because I was literally just hoping it would come out good on the other end when it was all recorded and ready to edit. It's genuinely the reason I "went crazy at sea" and the airship "cures the madness" because I knew I was in the home-stretch of the game lmao. But thanks for watching and supporting, I'm glad you enjoyed it!
@@silentgames1950 I was forgetting about that I thought I had done CC for this video already, that’s my bad. I will try to get on that as soon as I can!
Ah I see, although that is interesting isn’t it? A quest reward item at the start of the game being integral to proceeding at the end of the game, pretty cool stuff! Anyways, thanks for the info, hope you enjoyed!
About that I find even 4x lv 99 monks impossible since even then Chaos and its spells can still easily easily do 300+ damage while Healing Helms and the Healing Staff when used by a monk would barely RESTORE even 30 to 40 HP.
Trust in the ways of Cobra Kai! Forget wearing any armour, if you have ribbons then put them on since it should save your monks from paralysis trapping, besides that don't fit the monks with armour. Other than that, 4 entire monks should be easily doing UPWARDS of 4k damage against Chaos in a single run of their turns. Even in lesser situations, if you face enemies with paralysis abilities then just bank on your luck and make all 4 monks target different enemies in the opposing group since the monks should each be one-shotting every enemy. Other equipment is probably not worth it, like armour that can heal you, since the healing is minimal in exchange for even worse defence numbers since the monks specialise in specifically NOT wearing armour. But yes, quite the challenge to bring along only monks under the right circumstances.
About that even having 4x masters at lv 99 I still won't have THEM do 5000+ PER turn without using the Giant's glove and healing helms even with 4x masters at lv 99 will still barely heal for 30 to 40 damage but even masters at lv 99 can still take OVER 400+ damage from its physical hits OVER 200+ damage FROM its FULL party spells.
Thanks to everyone for the support!

Cool!
nice clutch at the end
You were gaining levels faster because you were receiving 4 times as much experience for each battle because your brothers are dead
Well you know what - you're smarter than I am! I somehow never put that together myself but you are probably very right about that!
@@god_likemike2214 only reason I know is I've started a single fighter game and noticed it. Keep up the great videos
@@jonathanjohnston1064 The videos will certainly keep coming, good luck with your own playthrough!
This is s cool to see! I love the Final Fantasy 1 games and remakes!

love solo challenges. especially for FF games. great video!
Hey thanks! Next challenge won't be Final Fantasy but it is in the works right now!

I wonder what was harder, the itself challenge or to edit it all into a video! 🤣
Incredible job, I hope more FF fans will notice this!

One of the monks should have been named Saitama / One Punch Man
I just ask remind you should add CC. Thanks! I love this game!

I love this game just went through it again with my kids. Warrior Monk white black. Ultimate party
Awesome stuff, that really does sound like the ultimate team lol!
I prefer ALL 3 mages + Warrior as the best starting party.
I did the same for my first playthrough. It was pretty good.
ok, this is epic!
It is literally so epic it's crazy...
The lute is used to open the stone plate in the final dungeon

31:34 That’s me, I love this game but it gets annoying with the random encounters.
You remind me a lot of MasaoHF. has anyone ever told you this before?
No I don't think I've ever heard of MasaoHF before, but I do hope it's a good thing! 😅
It's very enjoyable but the volume of your voice is too low throughout I think.
Thanks for the feedback, I’ll keep that in mind! I’m glad you enjoyed it though!
mano what
Yup.

Lol British
Actually Irish, my friend! I'd say it was the lack of "t" pronunciation that threw you off since that's often mistaken.
