I have used construction adhesive with peel.and stick and it was a game changer!

Yes I used a vinyl construction glue in my kitchen but the reason why the peel and stick doesn’t stick is because the glue on it is cool. Warming it up makes it soft again and works perfectly. I actually tried to use the construction grade vinyl glue on the wall and they fell right off even though it was made to be used on walls.
