I just love how you guys don’t just make it about yourself but you give back by highlighting a business owner and letting them tell you their story about their business. That is so kind. I definitely want to visit the Rock Store someday!
Life's all about other people's stories and experiences and we love learning from them and sharing what we can along the way. Thanks for tuning in, Rich. Glad you're enjoying it

Another great video guys. Love the history of the Rock Store. Hoping to see you guys in my hometown of Milwaukee for the 120th celebration! See ya down the road!
I was at the Rock Store five years ago on a rented Harley. Being from Michigan, the mountains are epic. I had breakfast and have a pic with Vern just like the ones on the wall. Rode the Snake twice it was so much fun!!
We have been there a few times while on vacation . The last time we had the pleasure of also meeting Rich and he was extremely giving of his time. We learned about the history and he took us on "guided" tour explaining even the smallest details of the place. What a great piece of Americana, and I hope to get out there again.
Hey you 😎😉😎🇩🇰😎
I’m from Denmark, and have been riding motorcycles since 1982. Today i have a Yamaha R1 2019 and a Yamaha FJR 1300 2001.
Me and my wife are coming to Californien to august this sommer.
This place is on my bucket Californien list now.
We are not on a bike in Californien. We rent a Car ( alamo ) but will drive to the Rock Store before we fly home in september.
Thanks for a very good canal. Been follow you for some time now.
We are looking forward to 3 weeks over there 😎😎😎
We spent 3+ years stationed at LA AFB and rode about 15,000 miles with many a stop at The Rock Store. What a great place, great video!

🙌
Great story!
I love how you guys are telling local stories. So cool! Well done.
We'll keep 'em coming. Thanks for tuning in, Chris!
Ha Ha when you guys are talking about the routes you are going to ride it reminds me of the SNL sketch The Californians made me laugh.I love your videos
My father would bring me here when I was a kid back in the 70s. I remember some guy would sit on a small chair in the middle of the road and take pictures of motorcycles as they went by. Always good memories of being on the back of my dad's Harley when I was a young boy. Times have changed, these days I ride an electric unicycle. And a few other electric toys. Too much traffic these days to really enjoy a good motorcycle ride on the highway.
Pretty dang cool. It sure is an iconic piece of history. It may or may not be the same guy, but a man by the name of "Victory John" has been perched up in the hills right up the road for years every Sunday, snapping awesome pics of riders and drivers. Always awesome to see. Thanks for tuning in👍
Had a chance to stop by here on the bike, this place is a must if you are riding through!
Agreed!! Thanks for tuning in, GB Moto🤘
Another great video. Looking forward to the coming videos of SoCal canyons.
Thanks for tuning in, Stephen! We're excited to capture more of the local canyons down the line
Thanks for another fantastic video, and great riding.
Glad you enjoyed it!! Thanks for tuning in👍
So many great memories riding there with my mom and dad over the years when we lived in SoCal. Ed and Vern were awesome people happy to share their place with all. Jay Leno was probably the most frequent celebrity visitor.
Back in the early eighties, my buddy Johny Bennett and I used to hang out there pretty much every Saturday on our way to Zuma 7. Thank you for bringing back great memories. Loved the video. Just awesome..
Right on! Definitely an iconic spot in the area. Thanks for tuning in, Clay!
Great video guys! Thanks see you out there! THE RIDER
Thanks for watching, Bill!!
Was a.Rock Store regular when I lived in SoCal. Remember Ed and Vern well, nice folks R.I.P.
Such an awesome place! RIP Ed & Vern🙌
I visited the Rock store every Sunday for 35 years , Raced the Snake every Sunday !! It’s sad that they haven’t fix the road !!! Greatest place to ride the curves !
Good stuff! It's a great place to be. Hopefully everything opens back up soon
As someone visiting California this summer on a bike, I'm excited for this series of "local" rides!
Glad to hear it! We'll keep 'em coming. The Santa Monica Mountains are full of incredible riding that we'd put up against many other rides we've seen across the country👍
@@2LaneLife I can't wait!
The Rock Store is on my list for sure when I get out to California!
Glad to hear it! The Rock store and all of the surrounding canyons are some of our favorites! Thanks for watching, Jim😎
Cool video thanks for sharing 🤘🇺🇸👍
Thanks for watching, Jim 🤘🇺🇸👍
Great video guys! We ride that area from northern Santa Barbara County, love, jumping on the 118 E. in Santa Paula, right through the wholesale, nurseries and blast over Santa Susanna pass, (one of my favorite Southern California freeways beautiful views of SFV….). Cut through the valley over the Santa Monica Mountains to the ocean and take PCH North back home
Never seen anyone famous at The Rock Store…they are just “Jay, Paul, and Steve” 💯💯😎
Yes! This will be a great series. Definitely show us ALL the riding opportunities.
We sure will!! Thanks for tuning in😎
great video!!! last time my wife and I were on vacation in California, I wanted to get to the Rock Store, but it wasn't on the wife's priority list like it was mine. Hopefully soon I'll get out there and maybe even ride it on a bike
Hopefully you can get out and see it for yourself the next time around! Thanks for watching, Scott👍
I've a US mate ,who was telling me about the tail of the dragon.
I said we have something similar here in NSW Australia.
The Oxley hwy.
300+ turns.
Bikers paradise.
When he visited, we rode it ,he said it's better than the TOTD .
Still there is a lot of the states I haven't seen yet ,another visit has to be on the cards.
Very cool! Thanks for the info
Watching this from Bullhead City after rolling through Route 66. Sat in Angels barber chair yesterday and now I have another destination to see before heading back to Bama. Your recommendations and stories of America are inspiring. Thank you for your passion!
Glad to see you're out checking some great spots off of the list! Safe travels🙌
Cool, love visiting places of heritage.
An awesome place with a great story. See you in a bit for the premiere!
Wow, been going to the Rock Store since the early eighties...love that place!!! ❤
An iconic SoCal stop to say the least! Gotta love a Sunday at the Rock Store😎
The owner of The Rock Store seems like a really great guy ! Thank you for your service.
Rich is a great guy with tons of stories!
One thing about the Rock Store is you can see so many different kinds of bikes, from new tricked out performance baggers to 1970's mint street bikes.
i remember going to The Rock Store back in the day and seeing Vern sitting by the front door greeting everyone. good times! Great vid fellas!!!
Good times indeed! Thanks for tuning in big guy!!!! Hope to catch you soon
Been there many times from 1962 to 2005 when I retired and moved to another state. I lived in Redondo Beach then Thousand Oaks. Cafe Racer heaven! 1962 there was nothing there. Times changed. Lots of "Sport bikes" now. On any Sunday.
Good stuff!! One of our favorite local joints for sure👍
Went there as part of a Harley ride when I first moved to SoCal. Around 2007-2008 during the writers strike. Met Jay Leno up there. Such a wonderful, down to earth guy. Even graciously took a picture with me. Will never forget his hospitality to a total stranger. Thanks Jay!! A true car and motorcycle legend!
Also that day at the Rock Store, my group saw Joey Buttafuco. Apparently, he didnt appreciate having someone yell "Amy Fisher" in his general direction.... lmao
A car and motorcycle legend indeed! Those all sound like some good times. Thanks for tuning in👍
Because if you guys I’m taking long road trips on my TriGlide and definitely putting the Rock store on my list! Ride Safe!
That's awesome to hear!! Ride safe out there, Travis!
Always enjoy watching y’all. You guys provide great entertainment, history, and inspiration for your viewers to get out and experience these awesome places for themselves. Safe travels 🤙🏼
Glad to hear it, Darrell!! Guess we haven't bored you yet lol. We'll keep the good times rollin😎
Cool interview with rich , ive been to the rock store several times , i talked to his mom verne the last time i was there , a nice woman with tons of stories . I asked her who was her favorite big star that goes there was , of course she loved jay but she really enjoyed keaneau reeves who would just hang and talk to her at her table there where she always sat 😅👍🥃
Rich is the man! We love the Rock Store. Thanks for tuning in, Gary!
@@2LaneLife 🥃🚬👍
I can’t wait for the snake to open again. I just love seeing rnickey mouse’s RUclips channel of all the wipeouts there.
Same here!! Hopefully sometime soon
This is great
Thanks for checking it out!
Great video guys. Too bad the snake is closed - looks like an AWESOME road. Let us know when it reopens - its now on my bucket list! Thanks for the video and story!
Definitely a local favorite! Will do, thanks for tuning in Joe!!
Another great video... blowing up boulders is out of vogue now? I must be showing my age and am a member of the old school club. But then there Josh, the young camera guy. He was shooting 35mm film on that trip. I use to be a photographer for Yearbook and journalism at my H.S back in the day. B&W and developed the negatives and prints ourselves.
I used a Nikkormat FT3 and a Nikon F2A back then, still have those. Plus a N8008s and a D300, but I had to look up what Portra 400 is (Kodak film). Give me my Kodachrome, Tri-X, Plus-X, and Pan-X films.
Thanks for the drop and with that I'll close out by:
"When I think back on all the crap I learned in high school, it's a wonder I can think at all"
Sounds like a great new series of local rides. Great drop guys! And great video work and production.
Can't wait to capture more of these! Thanks for tuning in, Kennth. Glad you enjoyed this one👍
Great video, my guys! Will be adding that stop to the phucket list. Meeting great people and hearing their stories is a big part of the two lane life. Ya'll get it. 🤙🏼
Definitely a staple in the 2 lane life! Thanks for tuning in, we're glad this made the list for ya!
Awesome meeting you guys at Live Fast Rally this year.
Stoked on this new series! Always nice seeing local spots highlighted!
Great meeting you, Travis! Glad you're enjoying the vids so far. Plenty more where that came from
History love that shit
Thanks
You know what it's all about! Thanks for tuning in, Joe
I take it you guys are out on the highway right now... looking forward to those vlog drops.
We leave for Canada at the end of the week but are at the shop until then. Thanks for the support Jeff!
Another great video guys. California has a bad rap because of its political leaders but you guys have the best of everything to do with motorcycle riding. I live in Georgia and I hope to get out there one day to ride. Keep up the good work.
At least the riding is good haha. Thanks for tuning in, Jimmy. We hope you can make it out here to see some of these great roads!
I worked with a guy who used to live in Cali, and he would tell me all kinds of stories about famous people he saw at The Rock Store.
They're definitely out and about in that area
So Big Lance, where’s your everyday scooter? In the shop?🤔
Been there…
Good stuff! Love the Rock store👍
Josh was silent on this one.
Just doing his thing capturing the story from an outside perspective. He's an elusive one😂👍
Did you guys get new bikes ?
These were just media bikes we had in the shop for a couple weeks to do some filming on. We still have our regular bikes👍
What month did you guys ride out there?
This was a couple weeks ago at the end of April
Lance you clearly got a new bike when are you going to tell us about it?
We had some 120th anniversary media bikes in the shop for a couple weeks and took them out on a couple local rides. Still got our own Road Glides👍
Ok, Gaylin? Let’s talk about that Road Glide?
We had some media bikes in the shop for a couple weeks. Still got our same Road Glides
