    Very moving made me shed a tear. Both my Grandads were Miners and my Dad also worked in the coal industry. They're all gone now but this is a reminder of everything they and all Miners past and present went through daily in their working life ❤

      Had to listen to your version when I just got home from the pit. Lots of gas on the section tonight had to retreat twice because of it

      Thanks Mike - When we did it at the Manchester Studio all the engineers were in tears and they knew nothing about coal mining but when I showed them the photo's from Littleton Colliery they wanted to know the stories behind the photo's..Once again mate many thanks - Wyn

    I WENT UNDERGROUND AT 15 STRAIGHT FROM SCHOOL IN A SEAM 3.ft6ins HIGH…NOT GOOD FOR THE BACK…NOW NEALY BED BOUND AFTER 2 OPERATIONS ON LUMBAR….

      Hello Keith I'm trying to remember where 317's was situated mate... when I first started at Littleton I worked on salvaging 3;s Robins then 6's Robins and then supplies on 5's and 2's Robins did my face training 11's and 10's Robins and my steep face training on 1002' Great people and the salt of the earth mate - Hope you're keeping well mukka

      I totally agree with you - The British government have taken over 8 Billion pounds from the British coalminers pension fund and a court of law has told them that it was grossly out of order and unfair and that they should return it to existing members but they have said that they will not return it.. They should all be brought to justice and jailed for gross theft but they will go unpunished just like all the other untouchable higher echelons of this corrupt world.. God Bless your Father, Grandfather, and their Predecessors my friend and a Happy New Year to you and good health for many years to come... Wyn
