I love seeing these old mechs. They were created during a time when rides had actual props and not a lot stupid cookie cuuter rear projection screens. They had physical guts and heart. The engineers and artists who made them, loved them and it shows ❤
bizarre is a good word for it, i wouldn't call any of these really scary unless you're a child. which makes sense 'cause 90% of these are punctuated with 'scares children'
I’ll always regret not being able to see Alien Encounter as it sounds incredible and super fun. I think Disney could do scary real well, the haunted mansion has some pretty spooky elements and it’s my favorite ride. I wish they tried that more!
It was amazing. I remember being strapped in, with water dropping on you to simulate blood. And the puffs of air on your neck. I wish they had kept it. The Bugs Life attraction in Animal Kingdom has a similar vibe but can't really compare because of the animatronics, the story, etc. Like the robots that talk to you. They get rid of all the best attractions, like the Movie Ride. I remember the alien in the ceiling looking down at you. How your driver disappears and some random person takes over. Some really great animatronics and elaborate sets. It's the perfect mix of thrill and entertainment even for a younger child. But I get why the Alien experience might have scared some kids. I was scared but I was also excited to discuss what happened.
I was NOT ok with scary stuff when it was open... now I LOVE scary stuff and wish I could have seen it. I think ot was just ahead of its time, Disney Adults are a huge thing now, and think it would do a lot better if it was opened today
54:09 still the highlight of your scary animatronics series. The shark animatronic at the Houston Aquarium always scared me as a kid and I remember having nightmares about it. I'm pretty sure this animatronic also gave me a small fear of sharks as a kid.
I got so excited when I saw this, my very first thought was “yes! I can put this on while I’m at work!” (I work third shift in a lab by myself, so compilation videos & podcasts are my best friends lol)
Those who said they’re not scared I dare you to record yourself directly in the water where the animatronic is and hug it stay next to it etc ofc from a video it ain’t but in person it is
"the asteroid is just seconds away from striking the Earth and no Bruce Willis in sight." How dare you. Thats one of the only movies thats guaranteed to make me cry every time.
I rode the Universal Studios Japan Jurassic Park ride last year before they shut it down. Boy howdy it was ROUGH. The dinosaurs would barely move and sometimes just slide out of their positions with the audio cue. The worn downness of it all made it scary. I specifically went to ride it and although I knew what was going to happen, you don't realize how BIG the T-Rex is until it pops out
I'd love to see some of the Dollywood animatronics covered... Like the Blazing Fury townsfolk, or the Mystery Mine Vulture! Blazing Fury actually has an interesting history, as it was originally part of Silver Dollar City, the defunct western theme park that Dolly Parton bought to make her park. This makes the animatronics of that ride among the *oldest* in the park. These days they don't move much, because it makes more sense to focus on more popular attractions for maintenance. Still, when I saw those horrible figures in the early 2000s, it definitely sparked my love for animatronics.
Ok I wad wondering where I had developed my submechaniphobia for ages, I knew it had to do with a shark animatronic but I had never been to universal so I was confused, until you mentioned houstons aquarium! All the memories came back. Terrifying but satisfying to finally remember what the cause of my fear was.
The fear of being in the water with the twisting gears....yknow what gave me huge issues with twisting gears? The Great Mouse Detective and The Brave Little Toaster...
Aww, you missed some of the other, non-🍑 related bits about the kappa. They are terribly polite, so if you bow to them, they have to bow back. Thereby pouring the water from their head-dishes out and weaking them until they can get back to their home water and refill (also how to beat them if they challenge you to wrestle). They also LOVE cucumbers, so you can create a pretty peaceful existence with them by carving your name into a cucumber and chucking it into the water as sort of a shirikodama substitute 🥒
I think I have automatonophobia and/or pedophobia, so every time the narrator says, "This animatronic will scare children," I mentally add, "And me." It's not a water-animatronic, but I'm from the home of Archie the Snowman, and I swear that he has contributed to my deep fear of animatronics.
It's very funny that when the video gets to Davy Jones in the updated Pirates of the Carrabin, I am far more comfortable. Unsettling, sure, but I can appreciate the art. Then you get to the far less sophisticated Bunyip, and I am SO UNCOMFORTABLE. Watching videos of dark rides makes it easier for me to pinpoint my discomfort on the uncanny valley.
This was a great way to spend a 12th of my day. Love the long format compilation keep up the great work definitely one of the best theme park and coaster channels on all of RUclips.
not sure if you take suggestions, but the Melbourne/Southern Star observation wheel might be a good one for a failed or controversial rides video. opened 2 years behind schedule, had to be closed after 40 days, couldn't be opened again for nearly 5 years, was closed for good less than 10 years later. truly a local classic!
I'm sorry but I still can't believe they redid Maelstrom into a Frozen ride. I know people love Frozen but I've ridden Maelstrom and it was so freaking cool. My brother and I rode that like 15 times when we were younger just to make sure we saw every little thing. They need to bring it back. Or at least someone needs to bring it back.
37:16 but they’re sadly gonna close its tough to be a bug and replacing it with a zootopia show, which im okay with because i love zootopia Unlike what happened to a bugs land when the avengers killed it
Love these for lego building! Working on the titanic and i need stuff to watch/listen to so this is great! Could you do just some misc compilation of your comedic videos?
I know I laughed at that as well for the Cinderella castle mystery tour in Tokyo Disneyland when theme park crazy says “ The Legend of Zel- The Black Cauldron.” 😂😂😂😂
It makes sense given the subject, but you could almost make a drinking game out of the word “bunyip” with how many times it comes up in its various forms. Loved the video but couldn’t stop laughing when I realized
It's wierd that my brain can simulate the sounds, sights, and sents of the English Crocodile animatronic at the beginning with vivid detail. The sent of still water in a dark, stone area and the sounds of the water dribbling down the beasts body all the way to feeling the brisk breeze playing around me like several small wisps. I have never.even been to that attraction yet I feel a nostalgic connection to it.
I went to Drayton Manor with my school back in the day and the only ride I ever went on was the Pirates ride, and the only part of it that gave me the creeps was the shark chasing the pirate
I just rode the Florida Jurassic park river adventure the day before making this comment and the two dinosaurs he talked about in the video where not there and their holes in the water were empty while the noises where still being played. I don’t know if they are permanently gone or just under maintenance.
I'm surprised no one's talked about the dragon underneath Disneyland Paris's Castle. It quite a big one and moved pretty fast, plus it's tail sits in the water.
1:29:19-1:30:24 I felt bad for Fantasmic fans that mourned the loss of the dragon after it was engulfed and destroyed by a flamethrower that was not working. Do you think you make the most shocking disasters along with SeaWorld's Dawn Brancheau death?
you left out the part about japanese families carving their name into a cucumber and throwing it into the nearby river to keep the kappa satiated and "bribe" it from attacking their kids. apparently kappas love cucumbers.
Your first compilation couldn't have started off with anything better than this. Animatronics for the win!
I love seeing these old mechs. They were created during a time when rides had actual props and not a lot stupid cookie cuuter rear projection screens. They had physical guts and heart. The engineers and artists who made them, loved them and it shows ❤
With technology we just got lazier and less creative… nothing beats the old animatronics!!
💯❤️
I have pediophobia(fear of dolls and animatronics) and i can say you guys, those submachnofobia animatronics are BIZARRE AND SCARING
Learning about submerged animatronics is like a whole new layer of fear.
bizarre is a good word for it, i wouldn't call any of these really scary unless you're a child. which makes sense 'cause 90% of these are punctuated with 'scares children'
*submechanophobia
@@bunnyg4464doesn’t mean someone is a child if they find these scary💀
0:53 I am one of these horror sleepers. I love compilations so much for background noise at work as well.
I’ll always regret not being able to see Alien Encounter as it sounds incredible and super fun. I think Disney could do scary real well, the haunted mansion has some pretty spooky elements and it’s my favorite ride. I wish they tried that more!

Man, that ride was actually TERRIFYING. A forever classic 🫶🏼
I was NOT ok with scary stuff when it was open... now I LOVE scary stuff and wish I could have seen it. I think ot was just ahead of its time, Disney Adults are a huge thing now, and think it would do a lot better if it was opened today

The worn-out dinosaur animatronics, in the Jurassic Jungle Boat Ride, just break my heart...
I got so excited when I saw this, my very first thought was “yes! I can put this on while I’m at work!” (I work third shift in a lab by myself, so compilation videos & podcasts are my best friends lol)

You really know your audience! I LOVE falling asleep to your videos!! This is perfect! Love your content ❤
These videos are my favorite from your channel, thanks for compiling them into a huge 2 hour video!
This is going to give me fucked up dreams falling asleep to this. Can’t wait

that horned king animatronic was FANTASTIC for its time
What was the time stamp?
@@izzythomsom9223 segment starts at 31:49, the animatronic is shown at 32:18 👍
I have automatonophobia and submechanophobia yet i love these kinds of videos
58:04 what’s really cool is that this ride is now a JetSki ride and they still have the shark swimming around at sea world Australia
it won't hurt to do a rewatch!!

Fire in the holeeeeee
Wow … that fish at the end was outstanding!!!!!!👍🏻 Amazing video! Thanks!
32:23 “the legend of zel- the black cauldron!”

I didn't know I had to rewatch these until now 😂
Here we go baby!
Yep
The fear of being in the water with the twisting gears....yknow what gave me huge issues with twisting gears? The Great Mouse Detective and The Brave Little Toaster...

Abraham Lincoln: NOOOOOPE
"Ok, this is where I'm selling out..." Car wash robots. WTF. WTAF. Well, you've documented an actual nightmare. Thanks.
I wouldn’t be surprised if any animatronic was responsible for a variant of the Bite of ‘87.
This was a great way to spend a 12th of my day. Love the long format compilation keep up the great work definitely one of the best theme park and coaster channels on all of RUclips.
3:39
Finley! Come out and greet the people!
Hi Rambley..
Why the long face? And body?
(I’m sorry but that’s the first thing that came in my head)
i didnt know they did a horned king. i loved the black couldron growing up. id happily take it if i could
not sure if you take suggestions, but the Melbourne/Southern Star observation wheel might be a good one for a failed or controversial rides video. opened 2 years behind schedule, had to be closed after 40 days, couldn't be opened again for nearly 5 years, was closed for good less than 10 years later. truly a local classic!
i absolutely lost it when i heard "number 7: regis philbin" that whole attraction is a fever dream
32:27 that Zelda joke never gets old lol
Thanks!
Wow thank you so much!
thank you for the amazing content, literally every video is a banger 😤
Happy to see ones I haven’t heard of before! I was scared I’d seen them all haha
I'm sorry but I still can't believe they redid Maelstrom into a Frozen ride. I know people love Frozen but I've ridden Maelstrom and it was so freaking cool. Definitely gonna watch this in it's entirety
1:12:14 I think he’s in the curse at Alton manor at the same park
Really appreciate the compilation video!! Love the animatronic vids!
Thank you so much for watching!
I must admit my 7 y/o daughter has a billion plushes but that Mildred plush is adorbs!
3:56 sea serpent outside of the water looks like Daniel Larson
Dropped a banger
Looking forward to the "2 hours of Peter yapping" video 😋
I searched up the Ettamogah Wildlife sanctuary and ooooohhhhh boy was I terrified at the photos of the animatronic
The prison one is just too scary because of the man's face pulling the thing with the water out is just too creepy because of the face
Because devils existed during dinosaurs. As a dinosaur nerd, this hurts
37:16 but they’re sadly gonna close its tough to be a bug and replacing it with a zootopia show, which im okay with because i love zootopia
Unlike what happened to a bugs land when the avengers killed it
Great news! I am one of the ones on the winter chill-out at Cedar point! I am so excited to go!
IS NO ONE GONNA TALK ABT WHAT HAPPEND AT 32.23😭 “the legend of zeld- The black cauldron “ 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
1:00 I need a two hours of Peter yapping video
I remember the creature from Maelstrom, and I can 100% confirm it DID give me nightmares as a kid!
I fall asleep to your videos, all the time, especially when I have insomnia
Love these for lego building! Working on the titanic and i need stuff to watch/listen to so this is great! Could you do just some misc compilation of your comedic videos?
59:06 I got stuck on that ride for 30 minutes in the dark while the end sequence kept repeating.
It was not relaxing.
3:47 *dopey laugh that kinda sounds like Statler from the Muppets*
"The Legend of Zel- The Black Cauldron." 😂
I know I laughed at that as well for the Cinderella castle mystery tour in Tokyo Disneyland when theme park crazy says “ The Legend of Zel- The Black Cauldron.” 😂😂😂😂
TWO HOURS!
Thanks bro I needed something to nap to ✌🏻
I’m so excited to fall asleep to this ❤️
4:02 CUTE!

Check out the dinosaur in the lake in Triassic Park Steinplatte Waidring (Tyrol, Austria)

I went to Drayton Manor with my school back in the day and the only ride I ever went on was the Pirates ride, and the only part of it that gave me the creeps was the shark chasing the pirate
I scream every time I see that Carnosaurus
I can imagine the Ghost of Captain Culter from Scooby doo rising from the water glowing green.
I thought cars 2 was an amazing film, I hate how a lot of people are hating on it
I was like 25 different videos of this. I’m not scared.
I’m scared if I’m in some old water like swimming and under is some rusty robots if they work even worse
I went on the Japan universal studios jaws when I was 4 I still remember it but I didn't really understand what was happening on the ride
These r absolutely my favourite
Y'all know good a well I am watching the whole thing🤓
these videos introduced me to you, keep up the great work
This is so good!!! I watched it and had nightmares cause I have bad submechanophobia. :D still a good vid
You got me! I am listening to this to fall asleep 😂
I just rode the Florida Jurassic park river adventure the day before making this comment and the two dinosaurs he talked about in the video where not there and their holes in the water were empty while the noises where still being played. I don’t know if they are permanently gone or just under maintenance.
Why did the dark ride from Italy look like a scarier maelstrom
2hours sweet
I miss the sea creature on the submarine ride at Disneyland ca and now it's the finding Nemo ride. 😢
Love this channel
R.I.P Jurassic Park The Ride!
I'm surprised no one's talked about the dragon underneath Disneyland Paris's Castle.
It quite a big one and moved pretty fast, plus it's tail sits in the water.
Thank you so much for this vid
why do so many of us watch scary things to go to sleep lol
Can you do the most dangerous coasters 🎢
The bunyip animatronic is actually 5 feet tall and 4 feet wide 😅
lava monster = giant ~spicy~ centipede😂
Until you mentioned it, I forgot about the submarine ride at Disneyland!
Yep, I have this kind of phobia. Idk why im watching this.
1:29:19-1:30:24 I felt bad for Fantasmic fans that mourned the loss of the dragon after it was engulfed and destroyed by a flamethrower that was not working. Do you think you make the most shocking disasters along with SeaWorld's Dawn Brancheau death?
5 year old me could not watch this in water, or just on the toilet 😂
you left out the part about japanese families carving their name into a cucumber and throwing it into the nearby river to keep the kappa satiated and "bribe" it from attacking their kids. apparently kappas love cucumbers.
love the long boi!!
Nice one 👍 👌
1:29:16 R.I.P Murphy
I live in Austria and I have to say Triassic Park ins´t really special, even for me as a huge Dinosaur and other Prehistoric Creatures Fan!
Me I have arachnophobia ( a fear of spiders) I really don’t like spiders at all because I know there’s going to be jumpscares.
If I fell in the water with these animatronics I would deadass let myself drown 😓
I miss the og Submarine Voyage. Nemo can get deep fried.
Yes! Yes! Yes! Yessssssssssssssssssssssssssasssssssssssssssssssssssssassssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss!
