Whenever I had to let someone go, first, I would go to HR, find out how many hours they had worked,then go to the business office and have his/her check ready. Always absolutely hated letting anyone go. It was always for a really damn good reason! (I worked in Nursing). Once, I was stalked, even at my home after having to let someone go, until, of course he saw my husband. Seems it put him off a bit. Never had to fire a black person. All of the black employees I ever had were absolute professionals.

From the Other Side... I work for an agency and had a no-end with a company. A year or so later my rep calls to say the company for whom I worked had started to renew contracts on a monthly basis and the rumor pointed to financial difficulties. Since contractors are the first to go, I took my personal belongings home. A few months later I get the news and the manager offered to help me take my things to the car, but I told him I'd known this was coming and was prepared. What I didn't tell him was that my company had a job waiting for me and I was starting the next week.

Love the Original kings of Comedy Bernie Mac was hilarious in that as well. It is definitely not the same when I was younger one of my co workers found out before hand he was being let go. So before he was called into the office (it was fast food in the mall) he stood up on the counter yelled F this place took a big tub of salsa threw it all over the counter and walked to the back yelled at them to give him his money and walked out.

I have witnessed both at my old job I sat across from the managers office and me and my coworkers would watch and guess why they call different people in thier office. The black people would usually come out smiling and peaceful,saying yo I'm up out this bih.but the white people they would call security to walk them out.
