The funny thing with burr is that I dont feel like I'm watching a stand up act. It's more like I'm just sitting in the same room with him while he shares his opinions on shit. It's never forced. It's the same way when hes doing his podcast or on joe rogans podcast or even doing an interview. Hes just so quick witted that he can make anything funny without even trying. His brain always seeks out and finds the "funny" in any topic
I know he does he stand up so casual and laid back that’s what makes him funny to me. Cause it’s relatable off top!!

He does have a quick wit, but I think what makes him so funny is his ability to look at and dissect serious hot topic issues that most people look at as taboo, or something that you can't talk about, and he just absolutely destroys the status quo of that notion. He makes the topic look like it's lunacy and shows just how ridiculous it is. IMO great comedy is when someone takes something serious and dark and sheds new light on it in a comedic way. Bill Burr does that with finesse like no one else
True on the quick wit! The only people alive that can fuck with him on that level in my humble opinion are Katt Williams and Dave Chappelle. Tell me what you wouldn't give to see an old school Comedy Central Celebrity roast with those 3 as just some of the roasters and the person getting roasted is Kevin Hart....? I might have to give up my left nut to see that 1!!!

Bill Burr reminds me of George Carlin. Carlin wasn't a comedian. He was a Philosopher who told jokes. All of it true. He was awesome to see live. So was Richard Pryor, and Red Foxx. I'm old, but I know funny when I see and hear it.

But even if he sucked for the rest of his career he still will always have that incredible time of success in comedy which is extremely hard to do. Longevity is a rarity in stand up. Guys like Bill Burr will be around for a long time tho.. at least I think he will. Even so Brian killed it at the height of his career.
