My new “Rage Druid” is a Werewolf. Changeling (+1 in Str, Dex, and Wis) Stats (point buy) 12, 15, 10, 10, 15, 9 Barbarian 1 Unarmored Defense, Rage Barbarian 2 Reckless Attack, Danger Sense Barbarian 3 Path of the Beast Monk 1 Martial Arts 1d4, Unarmored Defense Monk 2 Ki, Unarmored Movement +10’ Speed Druid 1 2 Cantrips, 2 lvl1 slots, 5 prep spells Druid 2 Moon, Wild Shape (Dire Wolf), 3rd spell slot Barbarian 4 ASI (+2 Dex) Barbarian 5 Extra Attack, Fast Movement +10’ Barbarian 6 Bestial Soul Monk 3 Touch of Death, Deflect Missiles Monk 4 ASI (+2 Dex), Slow Fall Monk 5 Stunning Strike, MA 1d6 Monk 6 Hour of Reaping, +5’ Speed Monk 7 Evasion Monk 8 ASI (+2 Wis) Monk 9 Unarmored Movement Improvement Monk 10 Purity of Body, +5’ Speed Monk 11 Mastery of Death, MA 1d8 Monk 12 ASI (+2 Wis) It takes advantage of the Wildshape stipulation that race and class features are usable while wild shaped, that a Beast Barbarian’s claws are simply weapons, that simple weapons are Monk weapons, and that per the DMG large size doubles the weapon dice. The build nets 6 attacks with advantage at 2d6+6 slashing for 12d6+36 per round, or 78 slashing on average. It’s fast and hard to kill. You can get there faster by taking Druid earlier and relying on Primal Savagery until you hit level 3 Barbarian. Built it for an upcoming 5e Steampunk campaign.
@jeffersonian000 I will reach out to you directly on this build, I am curious how it play tests at various levels. I rarely use 3 class builds as they tend to have scaling issues but this seems solid. Thanks for sharing.
@@uncommon-arcana8980 No problem. It tops out at level 9, then plateaus. Going Monk after Barb 6 was mostly to fluff out Ki, which is used to hit higher AC over longer fights. Went with Long Death over other options because it fits thematically, but also because the other options other than Drunken or Open Hand end up doing less damage due to not scaling favorably.

That sounds awesome, I will have to build that out on dndbeyond and play with it. Would make a great guide for sure.

I built it on D&D Beyond, it’s my “proofing” place.
