I have to admit, I cried a little for Andrias when he read Leif's letter. He cut himself of from everyone, and turned himself into a robot just so he could prove to the Core and his father that he was not a failure. But by the time he realized the truth, he knew he couldn't go back.
Me too. Andrias is my favorite character. He’s been through a lot emotional baggage for a millennium. His emotional breakdown broke me. He never wanted to commit these horrendous acts, but he had to so he couldn’t be a disappointment to his father twice. Poor guy just wanted live a happy life with his best friends.
I love how Sasha was the one to defeat the core aka Darcy, since it represents the worst versions of ourselves, in a poetic sense, Sasha defeated the worst version of HERSELF and said “I AM NOT THAT PERSON ANYMORE” that is just beautiful.😅😁
This is true When the Core spoke through Darcy about examining Marcy's memories about Anne and Sasha, they must've seen the moments where she acted like a tyrannical brute towards others. So, they decided to use those traits against Sasha; hoping to psyche her out...but Darcy failed
It’s funny how Sasha mentions that saving the world will look good on a job resume since Anne is most likely to get the most fame from this since Sasha and Marcy were mostly hidden from the others. P.S. Amphibia’s official book actually mentions that the government manages to cover up this entire event as a big budget action film. The rest of the world likely thinks that the calamity trio are a bunch of actors.
Well it makes sense, because otherwise Anne wouldn't have been able to have a normal life if they didn't. She would have to constantly have people bugging her for pics, etc. or want to test her powers.
Gonna put all my thoughts here after watching both. First some trivia - Matt Braly said they were able to do such a long episode here because they were able to negotiate with Disney to cut one of their mandated holiday episodes. Totally worth it, though I'm glad the Christmas one still happened! Anne's admission that she didn't truly love herself absolutely breaks my heart no matter how many times I hear it. And yeah, you can kind of see that from the early episodes. She's such a good protag. The transition from Anne to Sasha during the fight might be my favorite transition in any show, it's so clean! I love that even though they brought it up early in the episode, by the time Leif's letter comes back up everything was so tense that I completely forgot about it. Andrias' reaction and later actions from it really add to him being just so complex. Him and Sasha could have essays written about them with how deep they are. I go back and forth on whether this or True Colors is a "better" episode, but then I remember that it doesn't matter because we get to exist in a world with both of them!
True Colors and this episode are the only 2 I think can be argued are basically perfect. They are just such perfect culminations of basically everything that came before them. But this one is a hair better IMO, purely because of the fact its the culmination of everyone's arcs and each one is shockingly complex and deep for a show billed as a "kids show". It also encapsulates one of the biggest things I love about certain shows. I doubt anyone could have even imagined an episode like this when Amphibia started, and thats because the show grew into it, the ending of the show feels almost nothing like how the show started and that goes for the characters too, it feels like a journey actually happened and things changed for better or for worse, and I love it when shows or movies are able to pull that off with solid writing.
Man Keith David as Andrias was just so perfect. The man has such a powerful voice that befits all the characters he voices. He’s just like Morgan Freeman, the man has the voice of god, its impossible to not like him or the roles he plays in
Over the past almost-year you've been reacting to Amphibia, I was struck often - even from the very start - how you just *got* this show. From early season one you understood the assignment - enjoy the slow start, get to know and love the characters - and really lived for the journey instead of fixating on the destination. As the pace picked up over the series, I enjoyed watching you loving every minute of the show and anticipated the day you saw each Next Big Episode. Now we're at the end of the journey, and we can all look back and marvel at how far we've come. If I haven't said it already at some point, *thank you* for reacting to this show, it's very near and dear to my heart. Also, you're right - "All In" is a masterpiece! Every moment hit just right, and there are many who agree with you that this is peak television. Those soundtracks that play during the Core-scape scenes captured my mind for months. By the way, TJ Hill has released almost the entirety of the Amphibia soundtrack on his youtube channel, if anyone reading wants to swing by and hear your favorite musical moments without any interruption! Thanks again for making these reaction videos, and I'm excited to see you close it out with "The Hardest Thing!" Question one, does your "I'm not a crier" statement hold up under pressure? We'll see!
I’m happy to know you enjoyed the reactions! At the end of the day I’m just a normal person watching tv shows and just sharing my experience with others. I know there are many who don’t like how I do reactions, or like the things I say, and that’s totally ok. But I really do appreciate the folks who find enjoyment in my videos, because I genuinely have a ton of fun doing this. So thank you for watching!
The conjoined final battle was more than awesome! The best part is that all three main characters (who weren't possessed) played their part in the victory and without one of them it wouldn't have been possible. I also glad that it's not just the Grime's wound but also his speech that inspired Sasha to turn the tide on Darcy. As for Andrias - it's still hard to believe that just two episodes will be enough to turn him from a hated by everyone tyrant into a tragic and sympathetic figure. And yet it happened... While Marcy played a minor role in the finale it's still good to see she had enough sense and good will to at least try to break free from the illusion (in contrast with *cough* Mabel *cough*) Once again big thanks for your reaction! It's still strange that we are near the end of the funny frog show...
I love this series and this episode!!! The culmination of all the characters and their development. Even villains aren't truly just straight evil we actually feel sorry for them. And the whole show led up to this with all this world building and how it builds attachment to all the characters makes this show unlike any other. Love you amohibia and you will be missed
*Mr. Boonchuy:* Hey X, when the battle's over can we keep this stuff?! *Mr. X:* That is proprietary government property Mr. B! *Mr. Boonchuy:* So, that's a maybe.
All In... what an episode, just, insane. It's just like you said, just so many different moments that are show highlights, like I think all main characters have one of their best scenes here. Anne's growth is beautiful, a girl that didn't have any confidence or sense of self worth growing to be a hero, who is willing to do anything to protect those she holds dear and do the right thing, Matt Braly called her character "a love letter to people who don't love themselves", and I find that beautiful, she's my favorite character. The Plantars overcoming their fear of the herons to protect their new family, not letting them take away the Boonchuys, it's so sweet and cool, god I was so hyped when they did they family dance. Sasha's (and Grime, partially) character arc I feel is completed here, both protectors turned the abuser, and both having learnt to become better, to look out for the weak, to do good. I like seeing Sasha as a metaphor for the Toads, once in charge of defending the frogs, corrupted over the years, and finally steering into the right direction by the right person, it's s beautiful really. Marcy realizing that she can't force her friends to want the same things for her, to accept change, and to face it is heartbreaking, she can only believe in their bond as friends, but that's good enough. Andrias, whew, what a fucking villain, a guy with the weight of his own people, clinging to a past he can no longer come back, nor should, restrained by the literal embodiment of Amphibia's worst parts in his head for a thousand years, the reading of the letter is great, because while regretful, he recognizes he's done too much damage, that there's no going back. The shot of him giving up, and accepting his defeat always gives me goosebumps, what a great character. Sorry for such a lengthy comment, this show just drives me insane, I was smiling the whole time seeing your sheer passion and love for it, the excitement and understanding of why every episode mattered, it's like living through it for the first time again. It's sad that we only have one more episode left, but it's a great one, I hope you enjoy it just as much as I did, thank you.
Such an epic episode! The Amphibia crew knocks it out of the park. Music, animation, voice acting and the story! All the world building and setup really pays off in the final season.
Great reaction! What an amazing episode! I will say that I am a little disappointed that Marcy didn't play a role in the fight, like fighting The Core from the inside, and the whole thing with the Planters facing the giant Herons did feel a little off like it was shoved in without any build up, but it is still an amazing episode!
My god this episode was so awesome : battle, emotion, design, everything was so perfect. I can't believe I watched an American Show it's so anime and Japanese 😂there's a lot of reference to Zelda, Fire Emblem, Dragon Ball, Sonic, and I love it My gosh I thought Grime was dead too but I'm so glad he's okay he's my favorite character❤❤❤ I can't wait to see the final episode
Glad I gave this show a shot. I almost didn't 'cause it's a kids show. I love it. Also? I didn't think I would love Sasha and Grimes as much as I do. They're my favorite.
something something,,, Andrias and all his childhood friends being tragic reflections of Anne, Sasha, and Marcy and their dynamic, a picture of what might have happened had they never got the chance to communicate and build something healthier and more beautiful.... how the core of everything about this story is just Connections and the fear of Losing those connections over time,,, about change and how to cope with it, about Trusting each other and at the very end of everything being willing to give your own life fighting for who and what you love. The way that BOTH Andrias and Anne pulled a sacrifice move at the very end- Anne was willing to die for what she believed was right, and at the emotional climax- Andrias realized that he was very much willing to do the same. Right when he was thinking about Leaf's letter, and her begging him to follow his heart, that's when he made the choice to lower his defenses and let Anne defeat him, knowing that he could very well die in the process. He followed his heart, knowing all along deep down that everything that was happening on this planet and in his life was wrong- that his defeat would be the only way to finally put an end to all this
I cannot wait for the last reaction for Amphibia, when that video comes out ill be writing an essay about how special this show is to me. Amphibia is the best show ever made hands down
How crazy would it have been if Andreas died. Anyways just wow that was insanely amazing. There’s not a lot that can compare to that in Television, and I mean all of it. This is just great. One more episode to go. It’s January 8th this is part 58/?
Also Sasha Marcy and Anne’s calamity forms have names so can you please use them when you react to the last episode? Anne’s calamity name is Ultra Forest girl Sasha’s is rose Chan Marcy’s is midow furn
Anne vs King Andrias Sasha and grime vs Darcy The planters vs the herons who killed their parents And Anne’s parents and mr X vs anyone who stands in their way
Might make some enemies here but I honestly think this show is better than owl house. We get so much more out of the villains and the connection between characters is so much more heartfelt and beautiful (in my opinion at least. I just love the planters and Anne's relationship and the calamity trios forgiveness of each other). And the culmination of all the stories, references. And characters in this finale is the icing on the cake. Truly a masterpiece
Andrias was never the king but a prisoner of The Core his father isolated him and and made him think his frinds abandond him and they were never his friends but Leifs letter blew that lie right out of the water despite everything that happend Leif never stoped loving Andrias she never stoped being his friend
The letter Leif wrote to Andrias tells me that they were more than just friends I think they loved each other Andrias blushes and looked away during Leifs dance, the secret messages to each other, Andrias the frist to rush to Leif after she fell to her hands and knees after the vission, the worried look on his face, Leif crying into Andrias, Andrias the one that took her betrayl the hardest and his blushing tears in his eyes and scraming her name when she left, and Leif dubbing her self as "your Leif" and her calling him my derest Andrias and saying I wish my love will reach you. Also in the painting Andrias and Leif are looking at eachother and there is a art that Matt Braly did Andrias Berral and Leif are back together and they are on his sholders and Andrias and Leif are looking at eachother. There was and still is something more than just friendship between Andrias and Leif.
Can we just appreciate what a wonderful finale is on the horizon / it almost makes up for all the stupidity in season 3, which I won't list now, but the finale 3 episodes are amazing, although I have slight gripes about episode 16, but still, they're great / . And, And I must point out how strong a character Andrias is / really not everyone has the guts to solve conflicts in this way /. BUT as cool as Andrias is, Bellos/Philip Wittabain is still better villain than him and the Core combined / not that the Core is strong competition, anyway / . Having raised the topic, I want to hear your opinion about the Core as a villain because / for me personally / with the exception of one or two scenes and the final fight with Sasha, for me the Core/Darcy is among the top disappointments in the entire series / it is in 10th place but still / . just another megalomaniac who wants to conquer, for some reason, well done, just well done, there aren't another 1,000,000 such villains who are just as flat / I'm not saying that such a villain can't work well, i mean , look at Palpatine or Sauron which are the same but used correctly and work, but in this case, in my opinion, it did not work at all / otherwise super episode 9.6/10 . But i am sure that The Owl House's final will be better / because i just watched the trailer for the final episode - watching and dreaming and oh boy this looks Dark and depressing and i love it 😁😁😁 and yes i know that darker does not mean better but still 😁.
While both episodes definitely elicited some strong responses from me, I give this episode the edge because I’m a big action movie fan and I loved the action scenes in this one

King Andrias is definitely on my list of best Disney TV villains. Along side Bill Cipher from Gravity Falls and Emperor Belos from Owl House.

Sasha and grime vs Darcy
The planters vs the herons who killed their parents
And Anne’s parents and mr X vs anyone who stands in their way
next episode the journey ends. nothing else to say.
This is what happens when you give cartoons anime powers.😎✊🏾🤩❤️🔥
Might make some enemies here but I honestly think this show is better than owl house. We get so much more out of the villains and the connection between characters is so much more heartfelt and beautiful (in my opinion at least. I just love the planters and Anne's relationship and the calamity trios forgiveness of each other). And the culmination of all the stories, references. And characters in this finale is the icing on the cake. Truly a masterpiece
I’m going to say something controversial I agree with you
@@galaxypaintbrush9310 thank you for risking it and welcome to the brotherhood 🤣
Please tell me we will have a post series live stream to gush about the show. We tried not to spoil so agush session is in order.
I do plan to do one! I just don’t have a date yet since this is a busy time of the year for me life wise
MikeyVenture you forgot Marcy and sasha's parents in this episode
Andrias was never the king but a prisoner of The Core his father isolated him and and made him think his frinds abandond him and they were never his friends but Leifs letter blew that lie right out of the water despite everything that happend Leif never stoped loving Andrias she never stoped being his friend
Will you consider watching Rise of TMNT?
Having raised the topic, I want to hear your opinion about the Core as a villain because / for me personally / with the exception of one or two scenes and the final fight with Sasha, for me the Core/Darcy is among the top disappointments in the entire series / it is in 10th place but still / . just another megalomaniac who wants to conquer, for some reason, well done, just well done, there aren't another 1,000,000 such villains who are just as flat / I'm not saying that such a villain can't work well, i mean , look at Palpatine or Sauron which are the same but used correctly and work, but in this case, in my opinion, it did not work at all /
otherwise super episode 9.6/10 .
But i am sure that The Owl House's final will be better / because i just watched the trailer for the final episode - watching and dreaming and oh boy this looks Dark and depressing and i love it 😁😁😁
and yes i know that darker does not mean better but still 😁.

How would you say this episode compared to true colours in quality?
While both episodes definitely elicited some strong responses from me, I give this episode the edge because I’m a big action movie fan and I loved the action scenes in this one
go phillies lol
Is this show good?
Who is the character and why does she look like she super saiyan blue?
Yes and spoilers
If you want to watch the show then there's no way I can tell you why she looks like that.
I recommend you watch the show before watching these reactions because it's truly amazing.

I’m curious about this show because I just finished the owl house
he react to hardest thing before this?
Cry if you want, dude. Nobody's gonna blame you.
It’s not a matter of I don’t want anyone to see me cry. I just don’t. It would have to take some sort of personal tragedy to get me to that state
