If you check the mpc stems email they actually leaked a new mpc product.. the first picture with the red mpc is not a one plus if you look at the button placement.. interesting though. Hopefully the mpc mini but maybe a mpc 37 key which we don’t need
All that matters to me is the sound quality, if it sounds like a comb filtered mess, or their cherry picking highly separated source material for these advertisements, then I'm still going to buy it and use it 🤣 Just hoping the quality is really high. But this is awesome!
Well Akai might have cherry picked the sample to chop. No knock to them. In Serato a lot of the stuff I STEM sounds like pure gold. But a lot also sounds pretty bad.
This is insane!!! I’ve never touched an mpc before but this makes me really want one…I’ve heard people say mpc hardware knocks harder than digital…I was like “ yeah so what? I got plugins and fl studio has stem separation now” but this on another level!!!!!😢
I think this will create another generation of producer styles. Its going to be a huge impact on production. Its like living in a world of limitations and then all of the sudden you can fly to outer space.
I've been sampling since "88", when this comes out, I'm going bananaz!!! All the records I had to turn away from back in the day cause I couldn't get the sample???? I'm bout to revisit!!!! Thank you technology!!! An my MPC X SE software!!!
This is one of the features I mentioned and hoped Akai would adhere to. Now if they find a way to allow our installed 3rd party vsti and vst effects plugins to work in standalone hardware mode, make a few more slots for plugin usage I'd lose my mind for a few secs.
As a DJ it takes making a record a giant playground for those who have the J Dilla Premo Pete Rock sample chops and it will make this process amazing ...... STANDALONE will never be the same again❤💯✊🏿 may the STEMS be with you....😂😂😂
Once FL added stem separation, I immediately said AKAI would HAVE to add it now. It's super dope and I feel like this feature will be best utilized in the MPC vs Serato or FL. Small side not: The audio in between your voice and the video was significantly different and I had to keep adjusting the volume. But that's just a small heads up, you still that guy. ✔✔
Since FL just introduced stem separation a few months ago, that makes me believe Akai was already working on it at the time for them to come out with it at the top of the year. I believe there was just a time delay for release since they have to test it on more devices compared to Image Line who has less devices to deal with (PC and Apple).

13:06 It is crazy. Not long ago I was trying to separate vocals from the instruments with an AI program and the results were lot less than this. You could hear a lot of compression. Stem sampling is some kind of magic.

Crazy. Am I the only one who wants the Stem out for chops to go to the 4 sample layers on the pads? The separate programs are great, but keeping the layers on the same pads in one program would be a great workflow as well.

IDK IF ANYONE NOTICED THAT AKAI LEAKED THE NEW AKAI MPC IN THE EMAIL OF THAT STEMS ANNOUNCEMENT. PRETTY CLEVER. The main focus is on stems but don’t realize the device button placements.
It’s not new since AI has landed (several softs are ALREADY offering this stems separation as Ripx) the new thing is it’s included in an existing offer, it’s a matter of time it will be included in all major DAW
Props to Akai for stepping it up and being competitive!. They had to!. Because Serrato, FLS, Bandlab, and koala was seriously hurting the stand alone groove box market!. But for electronic musicians, this will greatly impact sample based producers in big way!.😁🔥💯
until you actually see this on your MPC hardware I would count on this yet. I would expect major problems year1 but I am sure they will get it right in due time

If it can really separate clearly, it's ridiculous.
The best aspect is real-time feature. Main thing i care about is the sound quality cause some of the other stem programs at there sound hella robotic and add unwanted artifacts to the sound.

FL stems are not good quality at all. Serato sound good Lalal best for vocals. This sounds real good though
