Mannie Fresh should have a big statue in the middle of New Orleans for what he did in Hip Hop. What's funny is the Big Tymers were actually good rappers compared to what's popular today. They was just rapping at a time when a lot of greats was still active 😂😂

As a Louisiana native… It’s a lot of hate towards Mannie Fresh, but what yall got to understand is, this man come from an era when a desktop/laptop did not even existed, to make beats and not to be in a category with most producers today… he has a different audience and demographic
Mannie made beats with a SP1200 and a session guitarist and keyboardist.. back in the late 90s and 2000s.. that was it!
And still today I betcha he can out produce a lot of producers today if he had to… but these days he don’t have to, he made already… I bet my bank account on that ya heard me! 😂
He a legend when it comes to producing, you gotta put some respect on his name.
I mean he is single-handed responsible for Cash Money sound and success!

Have had many producers before and after Mannie Fresh that I’ve been inspired by. It wasn’t until after hearing Mannie Fresh though that I actually took those ideas I had and got started. Why? Because he made it look and sound like he was in real life having FUN providing that one of a kind Cash Money soundscape! Chevys Monte Carlos & Regals was the first beat of his I’d heard. Once I heard Rich Ni99az on the 400 Degreez album I knew I had to try it for myself. You know how you can hear when somebody is smiling on a phone call with you? That’s how it was, for whatever reason I could just hear how much fun he had making that beat. And I’m still at it, haven’t stopped since because I still enjoy it. And a shout out to DJ Quik around that time for the sound of Rhythmalism too, that was a challenge I had to accept, trying to top that. One day, maybe…

It's Birdman's fault,lbs... If you grew up in New Orleans you know how talented Mannie really is...Mannie lived 5 away from me and he was my older cousin's homeboy...I'm 47 and he was dj'ing our middle school and high school dances back when I was in middle school..He has a crazy ear for music that most don't know..Mannie and Timberland my fav producers that inspire me when producing,..

"Best compilation" is the simplest most respectfully, disrespectful to other producers, way that can be put.
Beat battle lore all day, IF. Versus for big names.

Mannie is 55 and has been out on wax since 1987 - not many people have put in that much work. Marley Marl been off the radar since the 90's Dr not putting out the Detox meaning he has not been putting out his true sound since the 2001 era. Fresh has some of the longest, if the longest longevity in Hip-hop. Ok he isn't in the Charts since he left Cash money but we are still talking about him. The only man to have as much influence as Fresh and KLC would have been kurtis mantronic and only cause he birthed these guys..

These beats weren’t made on the iPad. He carries it around with him because it’s easier for him to carry more beats around to play for people. I’m sure he is using a Dj app to play his beats.
This video is rather old but is always a good one to watch
