I seriously thought there was going to be a surprise "Don't get hit by Meta Knight" achievement at the end of this Arena, so that made this fight VERY intense.

I love how this isn’t really even a fight but more a training battle to test their skills.
That usually is the case with Meta Knight. There are very few instances where he actually wanted to stop Kirby post-"Super Star," most notably in Squeak Squad.
And here I thought kirby star allies had the best meta knight battle/theme.... looks like I was wrong lol

This fight is the culmination of Meta Knight and Kirby's Master/Student relationship. By this point, Kirby has proven he's a great warrior with a kind and chivalrous heart. Meta Knight is going all out in this duel out of respect. When Kirby wins, Meta Knight deems him worthy to wield Galaxia, and if you take the Anime as canon, Galaxia also finds him worthy. Meta Knight can protect the Waddle Dees with an ordinary sword, Kirby needs Galaxia to bring them home.
