After the fight, when one Waddle trips, Dedede saves him from the Beast Pack by throwing in him the elevator (even though he had literally enough time to just grab him and rush to the elevator), then does a last stand against them.
About King Dedede tossing that Waddle Dee, IMO it was actually justified, since Kirby was visibly struggling to keep the elevator door from closing plus he probably did that to save time and hold off the pack for much longer.

Honestly the story of subspace emissary was soo biased for the Kirby characters with them pretty much hard carrying everyone else it might as well be a Kirby game and I love it.
idk how people can even say dedede and meta knight are even anti heroes at this point dedede stole the food but that was one time meta knight aimed to take over dreamland but that was also one time they do sometimes take the role as antagonists in spinoffs but antagonist=/=villain
I always knew they were not villain maybe just small frenemies (for meta knight a friendly rival but this knight would do anything to help kirby and dreamland in need) But the dedede scene in Forgoted Land makes me always cry why? Cause even if sometimes this king think for himself or mess with food sometimes he always take care of all the waddle dees like his own children...
Meta Knight I've always seen as Kirby's strict mentor, usually those boss fights against him being to test Kirby's might and see if the pink puff is ready to face whatever comes next.
@@FuryMcpurey nah huh kirby hold himself against meta do i need to remind ya if meta knight really wants it he could defeat kirby any time? @@SanonixFastTime His wish was to fight the ultimate warrior, not become one. He did win the fight, but that's hardly canon. The canon is Marx using all of Nova's power to become the strongest. Followed by him losing to Kirby.
honestly, King Dedede trophizing the fighters was pretty much just like him breaking up the Star rod The first time you’d think it was his villian antics where he beats up and claims the others like trophies (like what wario did once) and puts a thing on them to auto ressurect themselves, who know what triggers them.
Kinda underrated but my favorite is planet robobot and meta knights moment. He gave up his own ship and when shit goes south he pulls the lever to launch kirby at the boss showing he has full faith in kirby. And then he goes 1 step further and makes sure kirby gets home safe. Perfection
This is why I think Dark Matter should be in Smash, Dedede and Meta knight aren't villains anymore, we need a true representation of evil of the Kirby franchise in Smash, and honestly O think Dark Matter would make the most sense
@@bogymanthedark but Dark Matter (the original one) also has a sword man form, so it could be interesting to have a moveset that uses both his swordsman form and his eyeball form.
Honestly I don't really consider Dedede a villain. He's almost always on Kirby's side and nowadays he really only fights Kirby if he's possessed by something. He's just kind of a dick at worst.
Dedede in 1992: Hehehehe steal food fuck you Kirbeh Dedede in 1993: My people may no longer dream, but I had to choose between that and the lives of billions.
You forgot to put Dedede and Meta Knight's moments in Squeak Squad, being that Dedede after getting beaten up by Kirby for "stealing his cake" he throws Kirby at the Squeak Squads so he chases them and stop them from opening Dark Nebula's chest and later on, when Meta Knight appears and stops Kirby from opening the chest after defeating Daroach
Meta knight going that far might be a bit “extreme” but he at least had a pretty good motive (Ok maybe not exactly a GOOD motive but at least he didn’t do it for the sake of being evil)
To quote Alan Grant in Jurassic Park III, some of the worst things imaginable have been done with the best intentions. Dream Land's lifestyle was laidback or "lazy" because Kirby was always there to save the day. War doesn't make people healthy. It never did, and it never will.
[KATFL Spoilers] I think Forgotten Land is where Dedede was at his most heroic. He didn't hesitate to stay behind to throw a Waddle Dee into the elevator while Kirby tried to hold the door open, and fight off the Beast Pack as best as he can. This is one of many moments that make me proud to say that, while he was selfish and whatnot, Dedede was never a "villain", and he really does care about his subject as well as Planet Popstar and even Kirby! Long story short, he truly deserves his title of King. I also think Amazing Mirror was where Meta Knight was at his most heroic too.
Absolutely, and that action shows how much he trusts Kirby to take care of things. Like yes, with triple deluxe and return to Dreamland, he did help and that was true, don't get me wrong. But this wasn't the same as Magolor and Sectonia. Dedede knew these beings would have to be held off to keep the waddle dees safe and escape, and he basically said "yeah I trust you to keep them safe"
I find Dedede to be more of a rival, not a villian. From what he does, he doesn't seem to actually mean harm to Kirby, hell, he even attempts to help at times.
King Dedede is not purely evil by himself, he's evil because he's mischievous and Meta Knight is purely hate laziness and oppose tardiness, but willing to fight because of challenges.
in your face the fans believing that dedede and meta knight was always mean to kirby, and other KRBAY anime fan said still think dedede wants to kill kirby and buy monsters from nighmare!
Even anime dedede never wanted to kill kirby, he says that nothing interesting happened in Dreamland before kirby arrived, him fighting kirby is just his sick form of entertainment. He probably doesn't even realize how dangerous the things he uses are.
i like how dedede was like a mafia boss in the first games, just being a villain, but in the newer games, kirby just breaks into his castle and beats him to disappearance (death)
God I love it. King dedede is the only guy to free Bowser, kick his ass, free him again and bitch slap him when he acts up to put him in his place. Mario could only dream of doing that
I think Shadow and Meta Knight kinda fall in the same category. Anti Heroes. Sure they'll go against the good guys, but if there's a greater evil than they'll switch sides to make sure things don't really go south Or put simply: Villains, with Standards
I'm gonna be really disappointed if a kirby movie comes out and makes ddd or mk into actual villains. If they did make one then I think 64 would make the best plot honestly

Perhaps they couldn't include it for somw reason?
There was a part of the Butter Building they couldn't replicate in the GBA version.
Perhaps it was to save some space? Because they also removed Kirby's angry face when Dedede's clinging onto him in the Fountain of Dreams
@@RF-Ataraxia Probably not...🤔
If you look closely at Kirby's eyes at 2:31, there a few pixels placed differently on kirby's face, than when shown up on regular standing animation. This makes look like as if kirby was slightly angry for not letting put the Star Rod on the Fountain of Dreams.
@@IvanFranco120 Ain't that how he normally looks? Use his animation from the beginning of the cutscene for reference
I had forgotten how fun the Subspace Emissary scenes were. World of Light literally pales in comparison to the raw awesomeness of Brawl's story mode.
Honestly the story of subspace emissary was soo biased for the Kirby characters with them pretty much hard carrying everyone else it might as well be a Kirby game and I love it.
And in Smash Ultimate with Kirby escaping?! The Kirby bias is real
And I *LOVE IT*

I knew it; Dedede DOES care about the waddle Dees and I absolutely love that. And ofc all the times Meta Knight helps you out in some games
We all know that Dedede and Kirby had the most important roles in Subspace Emissary
Meta Knight too. After all, he was trying to get his halberd back and led the attack on the subspace gunship.
The laughable one-scene wonder that was the Subspace Gunship. So important.
yes
King triple dee risks his life to save a random waddle dee
Chad moment
idk how people can even say dedede and meta knight are even anti heroes at this point
dedede stole the food but that was one time
meta knight aimed to take over dreamland but that was also one time
they do sometimes take the role as antagonists in spinoffs but antagonist=/=villain
Very true
hell meta knights attempt at invading dream land had some good intentions behind it.
This is facts
I always knew they were not villain maybe just small frenemies (for meta knight a friendly rival but this knight would do anything to help kirby and dreamland in need)
But the dedede scene in Forgoted Land makes me always cry why? Cause even if sometimes this king think for himself or mess with food sometimes he always take care of all the waddle dees like his own children...
Meta Knight I've always seen as Kirby's strict mentor, usually those boss fights against him being to test Kirby's might and see if the pink puff is ready to face whatever comes next.
@@FuryMcpurey nah huh kirby hold himself against meta do i need to remind ya if meta knight really wants it he could defeat kirby any time? He literally is the ultimate knight in the kirby lore where he went defeat the ultimate knight and made the wish to be the most powerful knight to the super nova and it came to be
@@SanonixFastTime I believe he was one of the 4 aeon heroes who helped beat Void Termina the first time I believe ?
@@SanonixFastTime His wish was to fight the ultimate warrior, not become one. He did win the fight, but that's hardly canon. The canon is Marx using all of Nova's power to become the strongest. Followed by him losing to Kirby.
honestly, King Dedede trophizing the fighters was pretty much just like him breaking up the Star rod
The first time you’d think it was his villian antics where he beats up and claims the others like trophies (like what wario did once) and puts a thing on them to auto ressurect themselves, who know what triggers them.
The king isn't the hero we deserved.
He's the hero we neeeded
We need a game about King Dedede as the protagonist.
100%!
@@022107 Yeah, I think it's about time King Dedede takes the spotlight for once.
Nedede
No matter what happens in Subspace Emissary,
*Kirby will be there to protec*
Dedede has now became a true super star warriah and a hero to us all.
Meta Knight: Take this shit, you'll need it.
Dedede: Get out of the way, I gotta do this shit.
Also meta knight: "today I'm gonna be teaching a baby how to use a sword"
Kinda underrated but my favorite is planet robobot and meta knights moment. He gave up his own ship and when shit goes south he pulls the lever to launch kirby at the boss showing he has full faith in kirby. And then he goes 1 step further and makes sure kirby gets home safe. Perfection
This is why I think Dark Matter should be in Smash, Dedede and Meta knight aren't villains anymore, we need a true representation of evil of the Kirby franchise in Smash, and honestly O think Dark Matter would make the most sense
To be fair most kirby villains are just a floating eyeball sphere things, not much could be done with them.
@@bogymanthedark Even the ones that aren't normally tend to have true forms that are

Imma be honest.
When dedede chose to hold off the beast pack when saving that waddle dee I thought he freaking died
Same, honestly!
I'm still so glad he survived in the end. :)
At this point we can affirm that sometimes they are the heros of the story.
10:24 UNLEASH THE KIRBY
10:36
Honestly I don't really consider Dedede a villain. He's almost always on Kirby's side and nowadays he really only fights Kirby if he's possessed by something. He's just kind of a dick at worst.
Facts
Dedede in 1992: Hehehehe steal food fuck you Kirbeh
Dedede in 1993: My people may no longer dream, but I had to choose between that and the lives of billions.
8:01
Kirby: “I only been here for a few minutes what’s going on???”
This is why i love both meta knight and dedede. they are Kirby's true friends. Also when they fight i feel like they are not fighting, but training.
Bowser really had a bone to pick with Ganondorf after he shot him in the back with the dark gun.
It’s got to the point that Dedede is more hero than villain
meta knight was never really a villain even in revenge of meta knight he started war to make people healthy
Meta knight going that far might be a bit “extreme” but he at least had a pretty good motive
(Ok maybe not exactly a GOOD motive but at least he didn’t do it for the sake of being evil)
@@MagoDraws yeah the war was Just a Little bit uncasry but not to mush (its too much
To quote Alan Grant in Jurassic Park III, some of the worst things imaginable have been done with the best intentions. Dream Land's lifestyle was laidback or "lazy" because Kirby was always there to save the day. War doesn't make people healthy. It never did, and it never will.
It was basically meta knight screaming you get to sleep when I say you can sleep
[KATFL Spoilers]
I think Forgotten Land is where Dedede was at his most heroic.
After seeing all this, no wonder they become best friends in Kirby fighters 2!
I find Dedede to be more of a rival, not a villian. From what he does, he doesn't seem to actually mean harm to Kirby, hell, he even attempts to help at times.
How dedede was like "shut the f*ck up i'm more stronger than u" to Bowser 😂
Man Meta Knight cannot catch a break with the Halberd getting shot down so much.
Triple D Dededeserves to get a golden medal for protecting his Waddle Dee children :3
King Dedede is such a father figure to Kirby and you can't lie about it.
7:04
I can not laugh or atleast smile everytime i see this cutscene xd
Dedede literally said "stfu and controll yourself"
Nightmare in Dreamland was my CHILDHOOD! Loved that game, I didn't realize it was basically a remake of Kirby's Adventure!
King Dedede is not purely evil by himself, he's evil because he's mischievous and Meta Knight is purely hate laziness and oppose tardiness, but willing to fight because of challenges.
What about squeak squad, meta knight tried to stop kirby from releasing the dark star
On what cutscene?

Well they never mean to Kirby to Kirby (exectdd anime dee dee dee he mean to kirby
Even anime dedede never wanted to kill kirby, he says that nothing interesting happened in Dreamland before kirby arrived, him fighting kirby is just his sick form of entertainment. He probably doesn't even realize how dangerous the things he uses are.
3:30 How cute, Kirby looking towards looks like a cracker jack 🥰🫓
i like how dedede was like a mafia boss in the first games, just being a villain, but in the newer games, kirby just breaks into his castle and beats him to disappearance (death)
Because he's possessed or brainwashed.
"I thought that you were my greatest enemy, when all along, you were my best friend."

Is nobody going to comment on Ganondorf's "Fine, I'll help, but only because I was tricked!" attitude?!
I know so little about Kirby and the lore of smash that this all looks like a fucking fever dream
This just reminded me that Subspace Emissary was awesome, and I don't care if you didn't like Brawl.
Okay, no need for that.
God I love it. King dedede is the only guy to free Bowser, kick his ass, free him again and bitch slap him when he acts up to put him in his place. Mario could only dream of doing that
poor king dedede, he sacrificed himself to save waddle dee and on top of that he stayed to fight
I mean the only times dedede was evil was either he was possessed or it was because of his jealousy for Kirby
Kinda wish you could play as Dedede in forgotten land to beat back the animal horde
I think Shadow and Meta Knight kinda fall in the same category. Anti Heroes. Sure they'll go against the good guys, but if there's a greater evil than they'll switch sides to make sure things don't really go south
Or put simply: Villains, with Standards
I feel like Nintendo made up their mind who is the better villain between Bowser and Ganondorf
Finally, the greatest compilation of all time.
You rlly can’t call Dedede or Meta Knight villains anymore
7:08 dam what a savage king dedee is
I cried a lot when Dedede sacrificed himself in Forgotten Land-
I love how gently dedede picks up the waddle de
