  • just got my HW97K back from David Slade of Airgunwerks a world class airgunsmith with over 3 decades in the business.
David does incredible work on multiple brands of high end airguns.
This is the 4th airgun I have he has tuned and all are superb.
more testing later after I get the scope mounted properly

David Slade rebuilt my FWB 300s - great job - fair price - quick turnaround. I’m sending him my HW 97 for similar work. Glad to have found him.

I wanted Slade to work on my Diana 350 and he asked me why I bought the gun. Said I could have gotten a Weihrauch for the same money. Told me that 350 magnum was the gun most in need of a tune right out of the box and he quit working on them when Umarex took over. Said if I had a Model 75 Diana 10 Meter target rifle he would work on it though... ouch.

I don't know much about his line of Diana's he works on. The 350 has never come up in conversation. I'll be sure to ask him about it next time I see him, now I'm curious.
He has done my 75 and my 430L.
He mentioned some specific parts for an RWS that aren't listed as available from his supplier and said he couldn't service on without it. But I dont remember what part it was

Nice shooting 😉👍. My HW80 is more accurate than my HW77. Perhaps I should have gotten it in 177. The trigger is not very adjustable either. The HW80 came good, but the HW77's trigger screw would only turn only so far.

David Slade of Airgunwerks tuned my 97K and has the trigger set to a good reliable 6 ounces. Does your 80 have a Rekord trigger?

@@kidpellet6544 Yes, both do, but the screw on the 77 only goes so far.

Well I'm afraid I'm not much help with the Rekord trigger as I've never adjusted mine. I do know it has at least one more adjustment screw inside. Could be one is affecting the other? Probably a good video of the winner workings on RUclips

Was this a new purchase you sent off to him, or did you have it renewed and reworked after a fair bit of use?

This one was used. Not sure how old or how much use though.

Why are the pellets key holing so bad?

    • @kidpellet6544
      @kidpellet6544  2 года назад +2

It's the light weight paper tearing because it has no backing. These pellets and others I've tested in this gun have been stable out to 100 yard so far

Your scope was loose...moves back an 1/8 of an inch every of the 3 shots

That’s not the scope it’s recoil. The scope rails have threaded recoil arrestor holes. The only thing unusual about the scope is it’s very high mounted position.

You definitely want to be on target before you start feeling for the trigger
