Would still be worth it in 2056 bc the switch has such an amazing library of games and its super fun to collect games and accessories for..

I have a day one Switch from 2017 but JUST purchased an OLED about 15 minutes ago! Here are my reasons:
    - Best version of the console
    - TOTK limited edition
    - Will be used for many years like the Wii/DS
    - SGames will hopefully be playable on Switch 1 and 2
    - Improved battery from my day 1 Switch. It’s also a new battery that hasn’t been used for 7+ years.

@@JaneTheDoe-id2vx Yes, my old switch still functions perfectly! I just wanted the improved battery life and OLED screen but it's a super reliable console.
Only issue I've had with my Switch is the grid on the top vent of the tablet part melting off - However, this does not impact the functionality of the Switch... It may lead to issues down the line though which is why I wanted to be safe. What happened with my Switch is not common to my knowledge so I would not be concerned about it! It has fallen on the ground with no case/protector and not a scratch - The venting was caused by freak, once in a lifetime weather in Ireland where it was like 34 degrees for like 2 weeks straight (For context, this year out summer was pretty much June 6th to June 8th).
One tip I'll give if you get a Switch in 2024: Get a pro controller. It's much more comfortable than Joycons, has INSANE battery life - No joke I'd say like 40-50 hours. It's replaced the dual sense as my main controller for PC as well since the dual sense only lasts about 6 hours. There is no stick drift at all with the pro controller, which is insane - I've had it 4 years.
To put this into context, my Xbox controller, 2 PS5 controllers started drifting after about 6 months, and the joycons after about 5 years. Switch Pro Controller has not drifted once or had one issue! It's definitely my favourite controller now.
Sorry if this was long but I hope I painted a clearer picture of the reliability of the Switch!
Tl;dr - Very reliable in all aspects apart from freak weather. Also get the controller - Switch Pro is most reliable one by far!
Let me know if you have any more questions I can potentially answer.

Better to get a new 3ds and low end pc combo IMO. Nintendo exclusives are amazing and switch is quite powerful to play lots of indie games but thats it, anything beyond that will be shit on switch or not availabe at all. A moded 3DS is a beast to play handheld games (gbc, gba, nds, 3ds) and a low end pc will play any other game better than switch ( I have a 10 years old low end pc that plays TOTK better than switch)

For sure you can find a lot of alternatives in order to play Nintendo switch games, but i believe that some group of people (myself included) like to play the games in the actual console and have a real experience. I’m also crazy to have a 3ds but it’s really overpriced nowadays. Thank you for watching the video.

Modded Wii U is better imo, it can play every Nintendo console before it except 3DS pretty sure. I think it can even play ps1 games too

Nope. Get a Steam Deck, unless they release Switch 2. Anything you can do on Switch, you can do on Steam Deck.

I believe some people enjoy to have the real experience with the console. Steam deck for sure is a better option when we talk about perfomance and game options.

@@GeekPlayGamesUS I agree, I rather have the experience of using the Nintendo switch because of the cool gimmicks like the joycons
