It's amazing how propaganda and nationalism can really bias opinions. With all of the history of how those two tools can be used to create an ignorant population, one would think humans would eventually shrug their shoulders and largely ignore what those in power want us to believe, and instead decide an opinion won't be made until we've experienced living in these other countries ourselves. Pretty much lived in Taiwan for two years (co-development project with TSC), and went to China about a half dozen times. Formed close relationships with people in both countries, and I've found them to be wonderful. If you really hate China, put the mirror up to your own country and apply the same standards....you might be surprised.

It's quite amazing when you think about it. Having to come up with a training programme for space crew from scratch is mind-boggling to me, especially for a 28-year-old young woman with little prior experience to fall back on.
Ngl I’m still kinda pissed at that Wolf Amendment law. Science and technology is supposed to be shared for the betterment of humanity, not to be treated as a tool for nationalism. Space is where humans unites, but that law even made something that grand divided. I’m glad that China managed to rise to its success today as a player in space. With a vision 20/20 hindsight, I think China🇨🇳 is better off going solo, building the Palace of Heaven by itself - though more costly but certainly worth the ¥¥¥ - than had it earlier joined the ISS. By building Tiangong from scratch, China will greatly advance its space science from the construction to the operations of the space station, something which it is unlikely to acquire had it hopped onto the ISS bandwagon.
