RUclips probably won't allow it since you're not anti china. They will never let a neutral or pro china channel get big, they need to push the china bad narrative. Probably also getting some of that 300 million anti china propaganda money.
Such is the excellent quality of the work from Jean and Blaine that I won't be surprised if NASA and ESA analysts subscribe to this channel to learn about the progress of the Chinese space program.
Nice to see this kind of coverage that appreciates just how much China has accomplished in space. Very helpful to have the facts collected and organized so well.
Nice to find a channel that covers China's space program, and does an excellent job at that. China's space program rarely gets ore than a few seconds, if any, on the major TV networks.
Amazing video! Even in China', there is no one has made such a detailed and wonderful analysis. I learned a lot and felt the fun of exploring space! Thank you!
I love how China is building the space station by itself, it’s not bound by much restrictions, unlike the ISS, too many countries have to agree on one little proposal, basically making any progress or changes way too long to actually complete, NICELY DONE CHINA!!!
Incredible that there are some humble folks doing something quietly high up there in the shadows when Mao once said that China couldn't even lob a potato into space, considering that those folks were once in rags and tatters. They truly have gone far, really really far 👍👍
Good job guys!! Can you guys give us viewers update on how the spaceship keep itself safe from hostile parties trying to blow it up/ disrupt its job?? Tq
This is a great video! I was wandering about the airlock, since cutting off the different sections from each other looked like a design flaw. This is the first time I heard Wentian would have an airlock of its own to be used as the main one.
Hey Nikola! Yeah it makes a lot of sense. A extra thought: it will make for better photos as well, as the airlock on Wentian will be facing the Earth (so the astronauts' backs generally won't be facing the sun).
Pretty sure they can, it's a modular design after all. But if they will is another story. If they need to in future they will, but afaik they already have the plan from years ago and they are sticking to it for now at least.
The Chinese did have a backup Tianhe core module on the ground, in case the one in orbit failed or was not performing as planned. There have been no official statements on what this 2nd core module will become, but it is possible that they use it to extend the station.
I love aerospace and space science related topic or any tech related thing but I went on different field like agriculture 😅 anyway new subscriber here 👍🏻👍🏻
Welcome aboard! I think that’s quite ok, space (or other interests) can still be enjoyed as a hobby. For example, I do a lot of amateur astronomy and astrophotography without being an astrophysicist 😉
If you mean whether they can add more modules hence increasing the physical size of the station--yes, they can, and there is an expansion plan to add another core module (possibly the backup module for Tianhe) and two additional lab modules, making it a 6-module space station.
At a news conference, an official said that the first phase of the space station would be completed in the last few months of 22 years, including two space laboratories in the core module, indicating that there are expansion plans to follow.
Jean, great report about payload allocation space on the new CSS modules. My job was in payload integration at JSC. Is there a site or place where one can find a list of payloads with science objectives similar to NASA?
Hey Hana, a good place to look is the CSS Science and Experiments Handbook www.cmse.gov.cn/gfgg/201904/P020200225328481496691.pdf It's available only in Chinese though (but you can run it through a translation software) You also have the first wave of international experiments accepted on-board the CSS here: www.unoosa.org/documents/doc/psa/hsti/CSS_1stAO/1stAO_FinSelResults.pdf
Thanks Jean! I had a Chinese research partner for my 21st century trade class. I'll ask him what he thinks. Would you like to see our final research project on international trade in space? I offer it to you as our way of saying, "Thanks!"
Sadly, the Long March 5B is not designed to perform a controlled reentry (AFAIK). So yes, we are probably in for another series of uncontrolled reentry drama until there’s an upgrade to the rocket 🚀
Great channel, even though I am not in that industry, it's very interesting! One suggestion: Blaine (not sure of the name, the second speaker let's say) should improve his mic or recording quality, his sound is really poor.
outstanding job almost to 7k subscribers and well deserved. The White House should subscribe to this channel though you can be sure there won't be. 天下一家
Hi Armstrong, this is helpful feedback… balancing the amount of explaining that goes behind each concept and the total length of the video was challenging. Will keep your comment in mind for future episodes
@楠君甜 I think the progress of the Chinese space program is actually beneficial to the West (as much as it is for China), because it drives the American "healthy competition mindset" and thus drives American progress and investment in space technology. It's a plus-plus for everyone :-) Really eager to see what China will accomplish in the next few years!
Happy to see positive space news coming out of (or about) China
Honestly, U guys deserve a lot more subscribers.
Thanks for the kind words! More subscribers would indeed be awesome 😜

Thanks a lot for the high complements, we certainly hope so!
Yes they do, silently, if not already done so, then it's sooner than later.
Yes, a highly under-appreciated show! Excellent content, organization, and presentation
Thank you for the kind words! And thanks for watching!
Great episode as usual, greetings from Argentina.
Very well thought out design. The ability of the arm to move it's location is noteworthy.
For sure. I’d love to do a side-by-side comparison of the technologies used on the ISS and CSS, to add a little more perspective.

We're being conditioned to hate East Asia. Right after we hate Eurasia.
I'm glad I came across this channel! The quality of the information, and explanations is great.

keep up the great work guys. well researched and presented
Very informative. I have become a fan and have subscribed.👏
Thanks for the kind words, and welcome to the channel!
Great video! Just subscribed. Please keep up the good work!
another great update. thank you.
You’re very welcome 😊
I am Chinese and amazingly I found your program better researched and prepared than Chinese sources, both official and unofficial. Great job!!
Thank you! Very happy to hear that 😊
Thx fo putting this informative video.
And thank you for watching, and for commenting!
Fascinating insights into the Chinese systems, thanks
Impressive report!

modular repositionable solar arrays is genius. why not make other things modular too?
Excellent info! Just love your channel.

can/will china add another multi docking nodule to expand the station further?

question about the chinese space station: is there any technical limitation that would prevent the engineers from further enlarging the size?
