Zero is one of the six possible mid-bosses in the game. He is a hidden playable character in both the Neo-Geo MVS and AES versions of it.
===== HOW TO SELECT ZERO =====
On the character select screen, press and hold [START] to activate the random/roulette cursor. Now input the following:
Up, Right, Right, Left, Left, Down, Up, Up, Up, Right. Now press any attack button with [START] still held down, and Zero will be selected.
===== ABOUT ZERO =====
Zero is a main character and one of the protagonists from the Mega Man / Rockman franchise. He is a Reploid and is a "Maverick Hunter" on a mission to stop Sigma's forces of infected Reploids (known as "Mavericks") from exterminating humanity.
In SvC Chaos, he is based on his Mega Man Zero series appearance. The scientist Ciel and the Cyber Elves (his "support power-ups") from the games also make an appearance with him.
Gameplay-wise, this guy has a ton of command basics and special moves as well as being fast and a small target... unfortunately his biggest weakness is his low damage output. When constantly hitting the opponents with all those fancy moves it sure feels great... until you find that you haven't really done as much damage as you feel you should have done. If you're not using cheap tactics then you have to work hard with him to get results.

===== ABOUT SVC CHAOS =====
SNK vs. Capcom: SVC Chaos is basically SNK's mainstream attempt at the crossover fighting game with Capcom. It was not as popular as Capcom's two CvS games, but SvC did develop quite a significant fanbase among certain groups.
The gameplay is your typical SNK system, it is somewhat similar to KOF and is quite technical. Combos are generally hard to pull off because it requires precision and also because there generally tends to be "less possibilities" when compared to a SFA or CvS game.
Graphics-wise, I think SNK did a very job at depicting the Capcom characters in the "SNK" style, they are very detailed sprites with impressive animation... M.Bison's chipmunk face and his waving hand in his neutral stance will always be a classic. Dare I say that I would have wanted to see more Capcom characters in this SNK style.
One of the best things about this game is definitely the pre-fight character dialogue exchanges. Every character has a unique dialogue exchange with every character... they really do give you an insight into each character's personality and their relationships with each other. If you like this kind of thing, then SvC is for you.

I'm pretty sure translation has one of the LOWEST priority in the localization process.
The King Of Street Fighters 1 should be titled instead with 16 Characters from The King Of Fighters 1 &
16 Characters from Street Fighter 1 followed by The King Of Street Fighters 2 with 8 Characters from
The King Of Fighters 2 & 8 Characters from Street Fighter 2
They also called Zero an “Irregular Hunter”
Not the first time they didn’t bother with the localized title.
Capcom must fix Street Fighter Series over made right while SNK has to do The same with

@@AidGum Irregular is the Japanese name for Maverick, so I guess SNK went by the Japanese names during translation. Even Capcom made the same mistake on Magma Dragoon's intro on Mega Man X4 where they referred to the Maverick Hunters as Irregular Hunters, and in Mega Man Xtreme Vile was referred to as VAVA which is the Japanese name for Vile

@@juanca2567 yuuuup I had that in switch the moment I bought one I was waiting for the Battle network legacy collection, I had the Zero collection on Xbox but when I heard the news about Xbox getting shafted for the Battle network collection I had to buy a switch, so I went ahead and double dipped on the Zero collection just because plus it's portable like it was meant to be, but once I heard about this game hitting the switch I shit bricks lol
@@dukedumastv2250 The Switch is just better in my opinion, as it’s the textbook example of “less is more”. It’s not as powerful, but it’s portable, got exclusive functions, and easy to use (aside from online, but nothing’s perfect). There’s a reason why the Zero/ZX games and the Battle Network/Star Force games were on Nintendo handheld consoles.
My favorite version of Zero, I remember the Hacks Plus the Hidden characters dosen't speak
Actually only three of them don't speak in the hacks, which are Geese, Zero and Mars People.

Irregular is the Japanese name for Maverick
